After arriving home, Qiao Zhiya was immediately taken away by Chu Rong who had been waiting for a long time. Chu Yan and Yuan Xiu looked at each other, shrugged, and simply ran to the mecha battle hall to play.

Seeing Qiao Zhiya went out happily, but came back listlessly, Chu Rong’s expression looked frosty. He felt that his decision to suspend his school was right. Inching closer to the youth, he leaned over and hugged him to comfort him. After coaxing him to feel better, he took him to the medical room – temporarily arranged for Zhuang Yu.

After some inspections, Zhuang Yu flipped through the freshly released inspection results, and was so happy that she almost flew up. With a huge smile, she chirped, “S, it is also an S! And if Qiao doesn’t take the initiative to simulate it, the machine will not be able to recognize his magic power. He’s very powerful!”

Chu Rong was completely relieved. He took out Qiao Zhiya who accidentally fell asleep during the examination from the instrument, straightened his somewhat messy hair, and asked, “Then when will his state like this end?”

With this question, the smile on Zhuang Yu’s face became dimmer. “We can only wait for him to get better, but don’t worry, Sir, he has a strong self-healing ability, so he shouldn’t be confused for too long.”

Chu Rong nodded. Then he turned around and wanted to leave.

Zhuang Yu, who hadn’t had a good conversation with Qiao Zhiya for a long time, was a little bit reluctant. She wanted to get close to Qiao Zhiya, so she pretended to chat, followed behind Chu Rong, glanced at Qiao Zhiya who was sleeping soundly on Chu Rong’s shoulder. She pretended to be curious as she patted Qiao Zhiya’s blond hair. “By the way, Sir, how did you persuade Qiaoqiao to suspend school? He likes going to school so much that he doesn’t forget to take the skipping exam when he gets confused. You are really good at persuading him.”

Chu Rong paused after hearing this question. He turned his head and gave her a cold look. He saw that her hand was only a few centimeters away from Qiao Zhiya’s face, making his eyebrows twitch in annoyance. He put Qiao Zhiya’s head on his other shoulder, and left at a faster speed.

“…” So lonely! Be careful Qiao hates you later!

Zhuang Yu dared to be angry but didn’t verbally express it. Then, she became puzzled — so how did the Marshal coax Qiao into agreeing to suspend his studies?

In the middle of the night, Qiao Zhiya, who had slept too much in the afternoon, opened his eyes. He tilted his head to look at Chu Rong beside him. He raised his hand to touch the large pile of emerald jade beside his pillow, held his breath, and carefully revealed his magic power. The simulated spiritual power met with Chu Rong’s mid-air, and it nuzzled the other.

Chu Rong immediately opened his eyes. His eyes were clear as if he was just pretending to asleep. He raised his hand to hold Qiao Zhiya’s head, messed it roughly, and said, “Don’t do anything else.”

Qiao Zhiya withdrew his magic power dejectedly, and buried his head in the crook of Chu Rong’s neck, and whined, “You asked me to suspend school to take care of you, but you didn’t let me help you stabilize your spiritual strength. You lied to me!!”

Chu Rong quipped back almost instantaneously, “You can simulate spiritual power now, which means you already have spiritual power, so you can’t help me like this anymore.”

“Why?” Qiao Zhiya looked up at him.

‘Because apart from parents or spouse, no one would be so intimate with another person to blend spiritually and comfort each other.’

Before, he could deceive himself by reasoning that Qiao Zhiya’s power wasn’t technically spiritual power, and he’s ill to boot. Without these reasons, he could no longer accept such a special meaning of spiritual fusion — at least until Qiao Zhiya understood the meaning of doing so, he couldn’t let such a situation occur again.

Qiao Zhiya, whose mind was a little confused now, couldn’t understand these explanations. Chu Rong lowered his head and rubbed his chin on the top of his head, closed his eyes to cover his emotions, and whispered, “Because you are too young, wait until you grow up…”

Qiao Zhiya frowned, clearly dissatisfied, “I’m not young, I’m an adult.”

“No, you aren’t,” Chu Rong patted him on the shoulder again, and said, “Sleep, or you will never grow up.”

Qiao Zhiya was angry. He began to squirm around in retaliation, trying to break free from his embrace, raised his head and said, “Even using human’s standard, I will soon be an adult. You said that Chu Yan is already an adult, and you can’t spoil him too much like a child. Why is it that I am too young here? The power of the flesh of the stone in your spiritual sea is too huge, and it will take a long time to digest it yourself. I can help you. My strength and the power of the flesh of the stone belong to the same source. I can—”

His lips seemed to brush against something warm, he pursed his lips and widened his eyes.

Chu Rong, who lowered his head and wanted to hug him back, also paused.

The two stared at each other, Qiao Zhiya moved, and whispered, “White-Haired Monster, your heart is beating so fast, I heard…”

“Don’t call me that,” Chu Rong returned to his senses, frowned and pressed him to his chest, not letting the youth see his expression. “Sleep, don’t make trouble anymore! Your own strength is not stable, so how can you help me? Don’t mention this matter again in the future.”

After that, Qiao Zhiya’s sensitive ear picked up Chu Rong’s increasingly erratic heartbeat. He suddenly felt a little shy. He moved, tried to raise his head again, and asked worriedly, “You are so hot, are you sick?”

Chu Rong became angry from embarrassment, rubbed the back of his head vigorously, and said, “If you are not obedient, you will sleep by yourself tomorrow.”

This threat was too terrible. Qiao Zhiya shut up decisively, closed his eyes and hugged his waist. He curled up to the older man while quickly mumbling, “Then I won’t talk, good night White-Haired Monster, I’m already asleep.”

‘…Didn’t I just tell you not to call me that?’

Chu Rong frowned, took a deep breath to stabilize his emotions, let go of the person in his arms after his body slowly relaxed. He lowered his head and kissed his forehead, said something in a low voice, and closed his eyes.

In Qiao Zhiya’s dream, he felt like someone fed something into his mouth, and there was a soft sensation…

In the early morning, Chu Rong came out of the bathroom with a dark face. He walked to the bedside and looked down at the… recently grown child. Qiao Zhiya, who had gotten a little fatter, had his lips dumbly apart. He seemed to be saying something in his sleep. Chu Rong leaned over to hear it clearer.

“Chopsticks…” Qiao Zhiya suddenly mumbled in a low voice. He patted his side with his hands, but found no one. His eyebrows were furrowed, face showing a bit of grievance, and he was about to wake up.

Chu Rong came back to his senses. He backed off while his expression was getting darker. He laid down carefully, pulled Qiao Zhiya closer and waited until the youth fell asleep again. He opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling, and raised his hand to rub his forehead.

‘…When will this torment end…’

Thanks to Xiang Kun’s bluffing and Yuan Xiu’s publicization after returning home, the news that Chu Rong really recovered spread like wildfire. Alongside that, was Qiao Zhiya’s miraculous spiritual power awakening triggered by Chu Rong’s berserk. Everyone in the big family reacted differently.

The Xiang-Wei families were unhappy, while the Ning family kept its neutrality, as if they’re impervious of outside’s hubbubs. As for Chu Huai, he used this golden opportunity to petition and pass several policies that benefited the Chu family.

Sensing this change, the Xiang-Wei families were so angry that they secretly got together and scolded the President 10,000 times for his negligence. Then they discussed something and promptly dispersed.

The situation in the Federation changed quietly because of Chu Rong’s recovery, while the Empire also held several emergency meetings – it seemed they had made some other arrangements for their initial plan of sending their children to the Federation’s school in the middle of the year.

Time passed by in the blink of an eye, Chu Yan went to the school to report after school started, while Qiao Zhiya and Chu Rong stayed in the main house – one to stabilize his spiritual strength, and the other to treat his confusion.

After taking a break from school, Qiao Zhiya was too bored, so he simply dug out the textbooks for the fourth and fifth grades of the Intermediate College, and planned to log on to the Internet to continue his courses with the bearded teacher and tell the other party the good news of his spiritual power improvement.

It turned out that the plan was very good, but in practice it was directly stuck in the first step – his helmet seemed to be broken.

“It gave you a ‘unrecognized spiritual power cannot log in’ warning?” Chu Rong fiddled with the helmet he was handed over and asked with a frown.

Qiao Zhiya nodded, and asked nervously, “Did I accidentally break it?”

Chu Rong glanced at him, put down the helmet and thought about it. He then asked Fan Xiangnan to come over before, but the man couldn’t come due to various work-related job. But he still had a spare helmet, so he handed it to Qiao Zhiya, and said, “Try this, if you can log in, do not do other operations after entering, just log out.”

Qiao Zhiya nodded, took the helmet and tried it obediently.

A minute later, he took off the helmet in a daze, looked at Chu Rong and said, “It can be used! It told me to create an account and bind it to the device, but didn’t I already bind my account, why now…”

With his guess getting evidence, Chu Rong was content. He calmed Qiao Zhiya down and asked, “Do you still have the stone grass potion that Zhuang Yu gave you before?”

“Yes,” Qiao Zhiya replied, and then realized the problem, quickly took out a potion and drank it, took his original helmet and put it on.

Another minute passed, Qiao Zhiya took off his helmet, looked at Chu Rong, and replied, “I can log in…”

“Your helmet is bound to the spiritual power of the stone grass disguise, but your own simulated spiritual power and the camouflaged one is different. Simply put, different spiritual power signatures cannot log into the same account, so you can only create a new one.” Chu Rong explained.

After listening to the explanation, Qiao Zhiya looked back and forth between the two helmets, completely dumbfounded.

–This meant that he could only continue using his D-level camouflaged spiritual power to continue his studies with the bearded teacher.

But for some of the later courses, the required level of spiritual strength was minimum at C-level. With this D-level spiritual power, the bearded teacher already told him he couldn’t teach him further. But if he used his new identity to find the bearded teacher…

Remembering that the bearded teacher only took one student, Qiao Zhiya’s spirit wilted.

He seemed to have created a difficult problem for himself, what to do now?
