Chu Huai and Gu Yan’an moved back to the main house because of the Imperial Twins. Seeing the scene of Chu Rong holding the sleeping Qiao Zhiya home, they shook their heads amusedly. After greeting Chu Yan to enter the house, they tacitly avoided bothering Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya.

Qiao Zhiya, in his bleary state, only felt warm enveloping his body. It felt like when he felt asleep on his mother – it’s so comfortable and warm and safe that he wanted to continue sleeping.

“You woke up? Get up then, it’s time for dinner. You can sleep after eating it.” A familiar voice called, awakening him up from his slumber. He felt his hair being rubbed.

Qiao Zhiya’s consciousness quickly returned. Ears twitching, he opened his eyes and stared at the familiar pajamas in front of him. Then, he arched over without hesitation, his body chasing the warm and nostalgic embrace.

Chu Rong looked down at his little head buried in his chest. With a small smile, he pinched the youth’s ears, and asked in a low voice, “Aren’t you hungry?”

Qiao Zhiya shook his head, continuing to hug him tightly.

“But I’m hungry,” Chu Rong bowed his head and kissed his ear before getting out of the bed first. He bent down and picked the youth up, sending him to the bathroom. Putting him in front of the sink, he put his chin on the youth’s head, asking, “I fried steak and made soup for you, do you want to eat?”

The youth felt a ticklish warm on his sensitive ear, then a warm, steady feel appeared on his back. He also felt the vibrations whenever this familiar voice spoke.

Qiao Zhiya looked at Chu Rong through the mirror, and his gaze fell on the curved corner of his mouth. Some images flashed through his mind, but he couldn’t remember what. His face turned red for no reason.

‘No, something is wrong.;

He moved his ears, lowered his eyes to avoid Chu Rong’s sight, and plunged his head directly into the washbasin.

The faucet sensed the temperature of the human body, and immediately sprayed a jet of water, which completely wet his hair and ears.

The two were too close, and when he bent down like this, the postures of the two became extremely ambiguous. Chu Rong froze, but insisted on ignoring the implication behind this posture. He pulled the youth’s upper body straight, then put a towel to dry his hair. As he wiped the dripping water off him, he said, “What are you doing, are you sleepy?”

Qiao Zhiya lowered his head and let him move. He turned around, his gaze fixated on the floor, seeing their entangled legs. He stretched out his arms and hugged the taller man’s waist, mumbling, “I’m sorry…”

–Although, he didn’t know why suddenly apologized.

“What are you saying sorry for?” Chu Rong gently pulled his ears, and rubbed his hair into a chicken nest. He somehow felt both irritated and sorry for him. With a darkened face, he continued, “There’s no next time. Or else…”

Qiao Zhiya deliberately rubbed a little water on his face onto Chu Rong’s clothes. His ears twitched, and he flicked the towel on his head to prevent Chu Rong from drying his hair.

“Spirited again?” Chu Rong caught the towel and put it back. His darkened expression softened. “Be obedient, don’t move around.”

So Qiao Zhiya became happier with this treatment.

The two eventually and a late-but-warm dinner. Then Chu Rong took Qiao Zhiya to visit his litter of rabbits, intending to walk around the yard a bit in order to aid digestion.

“Military school enrolls students after a month. The qualifications are screened first, and the exam will be held,” Chu Rong led him around in the moonlit yard, helping him straighten his coat and hat while asking casually, “Are you sure you want to major in Mecha Manufacturing?”

Qiao Zhiya nodded, smiled at him, and replied, “I will work hard for the exam.”

Chu Rong rubbed his hair, encouraging him silently.

The two stopped talking, and walked around the yard silently. As the night got darker, Chu Rong took Qiao Zhiya back to his room.

After confirming that the person in his arms was asleep, Chu Rong opened his eyes. He looked at Qiao Zhiya’s thinner face, slowly lowered his head—

And pressed his lips against his, then immediately backed away. He brushed away the hair scattered on his face with a doting smile on his face.

The next day, Chu Rong claimed that he was sick and did not go to the military headquarters. Qiao Zhiya got up and saw that he was still there, so he was jubilant and almost flew up. He hurriedly dragged him to his laboratory, took out the box containing the Star Sand and put it on the ground, and said excitedly, “Look, this is the Star Sand. Xiao Hei’s mother promised me that I can exchange these with potions, and you don’t have to worry about not having this material in the future!”

After the box was opened, a hazy white light spilled out.

Chu Rong looked at his twitching ears. His emotions overflowed, and he hugged Qiao Zhiya while saying, “You are amazing, thank you, Qiao.”

Qiao Zhiya was a little confused at first, and then his face turned red — this was the second instance Chu Rong called him with “Qiao”.

“N-no, you’re we-wellcome, as lo-long as I can help you,” He stammered his reply, his eyes darted around, trying to dodge Chu Rong’s burning gaze. His face got hotter and hotter, so he remedied that by lowering his face and pushing him away. “I-I should go find the bearded teacher! S-see you at lunch!”

After speaking, he bypassed Chu Rong and ran back to his room, shutting himself in the bathroom to calm down.

Chu Rong watched him leave. He put away the Star Sand in a good mood, and squinted his eyes in a curved moon. ‘The chicken is almost ready to be cooked.’ He thought happily.

But then, his communicator suddenly rang. It was a message from a special channel. Once he scanned the message, his good mood plummeted to the ground.

The lingering Imperial Princess actually went to the military headquarters. The President is really “generous”. In order to spread the rumors more truthfully, he actually allowed an Imperial Princess to enter and leave the office of a federal marshal smoothly.

This is madness!

His expression turned cold, and he sent back a text message, saying, [Take her to the President’s son, Long Xuyang. Also, cause her some trouble on the way. This way, she’ll be busy with them and will not cause further trouble for a few days.]

The bearded teacher was actually online, so Qiao Zhiya hurriedly entered the classroom and apologized for asking for leave during this period.

“It’s okay, the graduation exam is more important,” The bearded teacher motioned him to sit down, and then asked, “Did the exam go well?”

Qiao Zhiya nodded and replied, “It’s okay. I just need to finish two more theory exams before I finish everything.”

The reason he gave when he asked for leave before was that he needed time to concentrate on preparing for the graduation exam of the intermediate college.

The bearded teacher was satisfied with this answer. He sorted out the textbooks in his hand, and asked again, “Then you should go to an advanced college in the second half of the year, which school do you aim for?”

Qiao Zhiya hesitated for a moment, but still told the truth. “I want to attend the Federal Military Academy, majoring in Mecha Manufacturing.”

Although he used a fake identity to face the bearded teacher, he didn’t want to tell lies about his studies. Plus, there were so many people who have to take the Federal Military Academy exam every year, so he thought it wouldn’t matter if he told him.

“Federal Military Academy?” The bearded man was a little surprised. He looked him up and down, smiled suddenly, and said, “This is a good goal. If you have ambition, go for it. I’ll wait for you at the school.”

‘Huh? Waiting for me… at the school?’

“Laoshi, you…” Qiao Zhiya was dumbfounded, and a guess appeared in his heart. “Y-you can’t be…”

The bearded man only mysteriously smiled as he stroked his beard. “I originally was thinking about how to persuade you to come to me for the exam, but I didn’t expect you to actually aim at this school. In fact, I am a teacher at the Federal Military Academy. I took a break for two years because of a slight injury. I came to the Internet when I felt bored while recuperating. Truly, it was fate that made you attend my class. You prepare well, I believe you can do it. I plan to return to school to continue teaching in the second half of the year, and Luo Li will also come by then, so you two can meet.”

It turned out that his online teacher was a teacher at the Federal Military Academy…

Qiao Zhiya stared wide-eyed, feeling that the sky was about to collapse.

He was about to meet his teacher in an offline setting… what should he do now?
