Xiang Kun: Chu Yan’s mortal enemy. Xiang Hui’s younger brother. Mecha manufacturing student.

Xiang Hui: A colonel. The Xiang family’s current heir. Xiang Kun’s older brother.

An Xei: The Emperor’s younger brother. A Prince and a scholar.

Ning Tianwu: An Xei’s wife, Ning Tianxing’s younger sister.

Jian: The Imperial High Advisor’s son. Studies History.

Qiao Zhiya looked at him from the side, and was agitated by the words he mentioned again. He asked him to “save” him… was Jian in danger during this training?

After the detachments were completed, all the teams boarded the ship one after another under the leadership of their instructors. There, they had lunch, then the warship took the students to a small training ground in the military headquarters.

As they arrived at the training ground, each major was taken to a different area by their own instructors, completely separated from the students of other majors.

After the team was assembled, the training officially started. There were obviously modern installments for them to use, but the instructors didn’t allow them to use them. Instead, they were ordered to stand under the sun and feel the “enthusiasm of nature”.

First, there was a half-hour warm-up run, and then a series of traditional military training items. Qiao Zhiya completed it easily, but Jian, who was beside him, became paler and slower. His movement became even more sluggish, then he slumped, falling to the ground.

“What’s going on?” The instructor immediately ordered the team to stop and walked to Jian.

Qiao Zhiya squatted down to help Jian who had passed out, and just about to answer, he was shocked to find that Jian was not breathing. Qiao Zhiya reconfirmed it again, and sure enough, Jian really had no heartbeat and pulse. His ears perked up in fright, while the instructor rushed to him and glanced from overhead.

“Re-report…! Instructor, he… he has no heartbeat,” He hugged Jian and replied in a daze.

The instructor’s expression paled immediately. He hurried forward to check the situation. Seeing that Jian really had no heartbeat, his heart sank. He called the officers to take away the students around him, and squatted down to give Jian first aid.

The officers guarding the field reacted quickly, and immediately sent someone to clear the students away, and notified the field doctors.

Relying on his status as the young master of the Xiang family, Xiang Kun insisted on staying. Looking at Jian on the ground, his expression was a little bewildered, but also a little serious and dignified — if the son of the Imperial High Advisor died in the Federation, especially in the Xiang family’s territory… He bit his lip and turned around twice, then took out his communicator.

Two minutes passed, Jian didn’t respond, and his face even turned blue. The instructor’s forehead was covered with sweat, and his expression became uglier.

This was the first time for Qiao Zhiya to face such a situation. Seeing that the doctor was delayed, he felt anxious and flustered.

He had studied with Zhuang Yu for a period of time, and he knew that if the heartbeat and pulse continued to disappear for more than a certain period of time, the human brain would shut down, leading to a brain death.

“Why hasn’t the doctor come yet?” He couldn’t help asking.

Only then did the instructor realize that he hadn’t left yet, but he didn’t have time to chase him away, so he shook his head and continued to give first aid without daring to stop for a moment.

Another two minutes passed, and the doctor hadn’t come yet. Jian’s face was getting bluer and paler, while the first-aid instructor even showed signs of giving up. He remembered what Jian had asked him before, so he immediately pushed the instructor away while grabbing a couple of potions from his storage ring. It was the only high-level potion that had not yet been tested. He squeezed Jian’s chin and poured it into him, and then took the position of the instructor, giving him first aid via chest pumps while injecting him with his healing wood-type magic power. He muttered anxiously, “Hold on, I’m here to save you. Didn’t you ask me to save you, hold on, don’t die, you can’t die.”

“What are you doing!” The instructor was taken by surprise by Qiao Zhiya’s unexpected herculean strength. Then, he hurriedly stepped forward to stop it.

As if aware of his attacking intention, the spiritual power simulator on Qiao Zhiya’s ear suddenly flashed, and then a huge sharp spiritual power spread around Qiao Zhiya, causing the instructor who rushed over to fall directly to the ground with a groan.

“This… stop!” The instructor was so anxious that he wanted to get close but couldn’t resist the stimulation of SSS-level spiritual power. He could only yell at Qiao Zhiya.

Qiao Zhiya didn’t care about him. He just kept pouring wood-type magic power into Jian’s body, washing his body over and over again. During training, he didn’t sweat at all, but now his forehead and back was drenched due to anxiety and exhaustion.

“Wake up, wake up soon…” He kept mumbling, his eyes were reddening.

The field doctor finally arrived late, with a couple of officers in tow. But because of the sharp spiritual power floating around Qiao, they couldn’t get close at all. The officer was so anxious that he wanted to take out his pistol and shot Qiao Zhiya, but was stopped by the doctor.

“After such a long time, the patient may have… go inform Marshal Chu to come. Tell him that his fiancé blocked the rescue and caused the death of the son of the Imperial High Advisor. In short, this matter has nothing to do with us or the Xiang family, understand?”

“You…” The officer turned his head to look at the gray-haired doctor in disbelief. He was about to shake his head instinctively, but remembering his younger siblings who were still receiving funding from the Xiang family, he gritted his teeth, turned and walked aside, and began to report the situation.

Xiang Kun, who had just finished communicating with his family, turned his head and saw that Qiao Zhiya was giving first aid to Jian. After being stunned for a while, he immediately wanted to go forward, but was also stopped by the doctor. Losing his temper, he shouted, “Human life is at stake, that Native is stupid, and yet you just watch and let it happen?! Aren’t you a doctor, go there and save him!”

“Young Master!” The doctor pressed his shoulder and said seriously, “Do you want the Xiang family to become the first sinners that caused the war?”

Xiang Kun was shocked  by his exclamation. He turned his head to look at Qiao Zhiya, who was still insisting on first aid, especially on his sweat-soaked back. His expression changed, and he suddenly raised his hand and slapped himself hard.

“Young Master!” The doctor didn’t expect Xiang Kun to slap himself. He hurriedly stretched out his hand to see his face.

“Go away!” Xiang Kun pushed him away. Then, he saw Xiang Hui rushing over from a distance, then looked back at Qiao Zhiya who was still giving first aid. He turned and ran away with red eyes.

Xiang Hui also saw Xiang Kun running away, but he didn’t have time to care about him. He only let his subordinates chase after him, and then hurried to the doctor to ask about the situation.

Before he finished understanding the situation, Chu Rong, who received the signal from the spiritual power simulator, drove over in his mecha. With a glance, he immediately made a judgment about the situation. He stepped forward to protect Qiao Zhiya, without dispelling the spiritual power. He looked at Xiang Hui and asked in a deep voice, “What’s the matter?”

Xiang Hui didn’t expect him to rush over so quickly. He couldn’t help but glared at the doctor, and then explained the situation as briefly as possible, emphasizing that Qiao Zhiya blocked the treatment, and finally asked him to dispel the spiritual power and take Qiao Zhiya away.

Chu Rong’s expression became more serious, and he looked back at Qiao Zhiya, who was focused on saving the boy. He thought for a few seconds, then shook his head and replied, “No, let him try to save that student.”

Xiang Hui was very satisfied that Chu Rong would take the blame. But he pretended to be shocked and said seriously, “Marshal Chu, think twice! Qiao Zhiya is just a student who has just grown up, how can he save anyone? If Jian dies, you know better than me what the consequences will be. Are you blocking the treatment because you want the Federation and the Empire to go to war?”

“Stop talking about high-sounding things,” Chu Rong was in a very bad mood, so his words became more merciless, “If there is a real war, your Xiang family will be the first to be aimed at by my Chu family’s guns.”

These words were too cold-blooded. Xiang Hui’s expression immediately darkened. He stopped acting in this scene, and took a step back to watch coldly.

Qiao Zhiya didn’t notice the outside situation at all. He tried his best to guide the wood-type magic power to Jian’s head, trying his best to prevent brain death due to long-term lack of oxygen. At the same time, he kept using the wood-type magic power to stimulate his heart with potions to help. He hoped to restore his heartbeat quickly.

Sweat had already soaked his training clothes, and as he was on verge of giving up, he felt a slight fluctuation under his palm. He became refreshed, and hurriedly concentrated his magic power on it, stimulating it gently.

Maybe only a moment passed, maybe it took a long time, but the heart started to slowly beat under his palm. It became clearer and stronger, and Jian’s complexion also began to improve. His breathing resumed, his eyelashes trembled, and he finally opened his eyes.

“Ah… As expected, you saved me. Thank you,” Jian said with a weak voice. He still insisted on showing a smile.

Qiao Zhiya looked at him for a few seconds without reacting. His head was muddled as he let his hand go. His nose felt sore, his body went limp, and he sat down on the ground completely. He lowered his head, hiding that he was wiping the tears that formed in his eyes.

“Hello?” Jian stretched out his hand and tugged at his clothes, still with a flat expression. “I was the one who almost died, why are you crying… don’t cry, the ground is so hard, I feel uncomfortable lying down.”

Qiao Zhiya shook off his hand childishly, took out a quilt from his storage ring and threw it on him. Then, he stood up with red eyes and a sullen face, wanting to leave. However, he bumped into a familiar embrace as soon as he turned around inside.

“Incompetent.”

Chu Rong hugged him, wiped his face lightly, then removed the spiritual power simulator on his ear. He side-eyed Xiang Hui and his group who were confronting him, then his gaze finally fell at the doctor in the corner. His voice was cold, full of sarcasm, “The officers of your Xiang family trained him until his heart stopped beating, and now my people from the Chu family saved him. The doctors of the Xiang family… do they know how to take care of a patient?”

Jian, who was lying on the ground, silently rolled inside the quilt. He glanced at Xiang Hui and his entourage, and nodded calmly. “Yes, I need help very much, that Native boy is using too much force, I suspect my ribs are broken.”

Qiao Zhiya couldn’t help but poked his head out and stared at Jian. He looked angry and on the verge of tears, eyes red like a rabbit. The bubbling emotions he held on bursted on the spot. “Shut up!”

Chu Rong’s eyes moved when he heard Qiao Zhiya, and he raised his hand to touch his head. He instantly felt his mood uplifted. ‘This Bald Chicken can even imitate my tone so cutely.’

Xiang Hui didn’t expect Qiao Zhiya to actually bring Jian back to life, and his expression changed. First, he was glad that he hadn’t alarmed the Empire if a big incident happened; but at the same time, he secretly hated that he missed a good opportunity to make the Chu family stumble.

If Chu Rong hadn’t arrived quickly and blocked everyone so that Qiao Zhiya could treat Jian with peace of mind, Jian might have died long ago.

“Go and send Young Master Jian to the medical room to take good care of him,” Xiang Hui waved his hand and ordered his subordinates. He casted a deep glance at Qiao Zhiya nestled in Chu Rong’s arms…. Then strode away unwillingly.

“Ah, why doesn’t the Xiang family here send condolences to me?” Jian commented as he watched Xiang Hui leave. He cooperated with the doctor to move himself to the mobile hospital bed. He ignored the field doctor’s stiff expression, and instead looked at Chu Rong, who was still embracing Qiao Zhiya. He gave him a kind reminder,  “He has sweated a lot, and now he has cried again. He may be a little dehydrated. I suggest you let him go to the medical room with me.”

Chu Rong saw that this Imperial High Advisor’s son was still calm despite almost dying. He scrutinized him as he said, “Qiao used a total of eight potions on you. Remember to pay for them. He did a good job.”

“I will repay you well,” Looking at Qiao Zhiya’s protruding pointed ears, Jian said happily, “Very, very good repayment.”

Chu Rong frowned, expressing that he didn’t like the way Jian looked at Qiao Zhiya at this moment.
