Five minutes before the start of the game, Chu Rong let go of Qiao Zhiya. He stood up, touched his head, and said, “I have to go out now. I’ll watch you from the audience seat.”

Qiao Zhiya nodded reluctantly and said, “Then I will communicate with the audience.”

Chu Rong frowned. “It’s better to turn that feature off. There are too many people and it will disturb your game.”

“No,” Qiao Zhiya refused, his ears twitching as he showed a smile. With twinkling eyes, he looked like the fox that caught the chicken. “When I signed up, I chose to not publicize the room number, and I only told Xiao Yan and a couple other friends about my participation. So not many people will come to watch the competition. You can still be in the audience when the time comes.”

Seeing him like this, Chu Rong couldn’t bear to tell him that his account probably had set off a huge chain of events that killed the youth’s privacy. He was silent, and instead raised his hand to brush his bangs. “Then open it first. If you think it’s noisy, just turn it off and I’ll come find you after the game.”

If it weren’t for the privilege of Rong Tian’s account, which allowed him to see Qiao Zhiya in advance, he would actually prefer to use an anonymous side account to watch his game. This main account of his was too troublesome.

‘After the game?’

Qiao Zhiya’s focus was on the last sentence. He nodded vigorously, and the smile on his face immediately brightened.

Chu Rong then bent down, and kissed the youth squarely on his lips.

In the next second, the tall figure flashed and disappeared.

Qiao Zhiya was stunned as he raised his hand to cover his lips. His ears twitched shyly, and his face slowly turned red.

With one minute left before the start of the game, a countdown prompt appeared above the player room. Qiao Zhiya sat back on the player’s chair and waited for the game to begin.

The content of the first round of the competition is parts production. He was very sure about this, so he was still in a relaxed mood. When there were only ten seconds left in the countdown, he turned to look at the auditorium, hoping to see the first person entering the competition venue was Chu Rong.

The countdown ended, and on the stage, things needed for the competition appeared on the operating table. Off the stage, Chu Rong was the first to appear in the audience, sitting in the middle of the first row closest to the contestants.

Qiao Zhiya couldn’t help but raise a smile on his face. Just as he was about to call him, he heard a boom, and a scream that almost lifted the roof suddenly erupted in the auditorium. Then his eyes blurred, and the empty auditorium suddenly transformed into a jam-packed one, filled with numerous spectators in every square inch of the “seat”.

His call was choked in his throat, his eyes widened in shock, and his ears pricked up. He was dumbfounded.

‘Wha-why are there so many people?’

Chu Rong, who was sitting in the first row, suddenly became gloomy. He immediately used the figure-blurring mask, and then motioned to Qiao Zhiya to turn off the audience communication channel and concentrate on the game.

“Ahhhh! Come on, little Cutie! You are the best!”

“Where is the Marshal? Where is he? Have you found him?”

“Wow, little Cutie is very cute indeed. Haha, he looks so frightened. Hey, he looked at me, did you see it, he looked at me!”

“Come on, Qiaoqiao! Let those bitches who say you will lose in the first round eat their own words! Qiaoqiao, you are the best!”

Deafening cacophony filled the air, all kinds of broken roars made his eardrums ring. This… was even livelier compared to that round where Luo Li played.

He opened his mouth and glanced at Chu Rong, who went unnoticed after using his mask. He also looked at the crowd behind him who were waving and screaming at him crazily. He moved his butt stiffly, stood up and bowed towards the audience. He bowed and said with a stutter, “Thank… thank you for your encouragement, I, I… um, thank you, I have to concentrate on the competition, so, uh, mask… I’m sorry, thank you.”

The crowd was quiet for a moment.

Then, intense screams echoed.

Not daring to delay any longer, he hurriedly sat back in front of the table and hurriedly turned off the audience communication, blocking all sounds from the system.

His ears finally escaped the torture of the noise, and he breathed a sigh of relief. He couldn’t help but glance at Chu Rong, who was sitting in the first row.

Chu Rong caught his eye and nodded to him as encouragement.

Qiao Zhiya’s heart, frightened by the scream, immediately calmed down. He smiled at him, turned back, and set his sights on his crafting table.

Upon seeing this, the audience immediately realized that Qiao Zhiya might have only turned on the lowest sound option and not completely muted the all audience-related sound. The reason why he did this was probably because he wanted to see a special person sitting in the audience. Like what happened just now.

And what makes Qiao Zhiya feel special must be… Marshal Chu is really here! He’s watching the game too! Right next to them!

The audience became excited and looked around, and soon they realized that Chu Rong should also have disguised himself, hiding his figure. Except for the owner of the room, Qiao Zhiya, no one else could see him at all.

The screams turned into howls, and gradually, the auditorium became quiet. The audience gradually turned their attention to Qiao Zhiya who was assembling his parts.

When Qiao Zhiya watched the game on the Star Network for the first time last year, he was amazed by Luo Li’s mastery in assembling parts, which was very pleasing to the eye. Now the audience watching the Qiao Zhiya game thinks the same way.

They saw two fair and beautiful hands alternately picking up the small materials on the table. One by one, he put them together flexibly and skillfully without any unnecessary movements. Those fingers seemed to dance to its own pleasant rhythm.

In order to increase the difficulty of the game, some of these materials need to be further processed, but this does not seem to be a problem for Qiao Zhiya.

He took out a small hammer customized for the system from the tool box and struck it on the material. After the white light representing spiritual power flashed faintly, the material took shape. After that, he directly installed the material onto the semi-formed part and placed it without thinking twice, which made the audience tremble with fear. They were always worried that he would make a mistake, but he never made a mistake. Every hammered material seemed to be tailor-made, fitting like it was precisely casted to its place.

There are no errors.

Time felt meaningless as it floated at different speeds. Once the movement of his fingers stopped, a complete part was placed on the table by Qiao Zhiya. At the same time, the system judged it:

[Round complete. Value: special-grade. Contestant successfully advanced to the next round.]

The audience was stunned and then had several different reactions.

The fans cheered enthusiastically, as if it was Lunar New Year; some of the melon-eaters who came to watch the excitement were attracted by the quality of his work, so they also clapped happily along, although with more restraint; some people who had malicious intentions or were jealous to the gills fell silent with complicated expressions. For the last type of people, they teleported directly out of the room.

Chu Yan, who was disguised and blended along with the audience, slumped in his chair and sighed, “Sure enough, I said that there is no suspense in the first round.”

Yuan Xiu sneered at him. “Gee, I wonder who was so nervous just now, until he cannot sit still?”

Chu Yan glared at him. Yuan Xiu raised his eyebrows in response, and then the two of them teleported away in tacit understanding – Chu Yan told Yuan Xiu that it’s time for them to practice.

Not far away from them, Xiang Kun, who was online again, retracted his gaze from looking at the parts on the crafting table. After remaining silent for a few seconds, he chose to log off.

In different corners of the auditorium, Chu Huai, Gu Yan’an, Master Shang, Master Ren, Luo Li, Sang Bu, Ning Kongran, Yun Xiachu… and even Princess An Leen, Jian, and Charmmi, also chose to go offline.

Qiao Zhiya on the stage was unaware of the quiet arrival and quiet departure of these acquaintances. After finishing the round, he immediately looked at Chu Rong’s position and saw that he was still there. His emerald eyes squinted as he smiled brightly.

The spectators who had not yet left were excited when they saw this. Some of them looked in the direction he was looking, and some of them waved and screamed at him frantically, trying to attract his attention.

Qiao Zhiya moved his eyes to the enthusiastic audience. He turned off the sound mute option, stood up, and waved to them shyly. “Thank you for your encouragement and time. Goodbye.” After saying that, he bowed and directly teleported out of the player room.

At the same time, Chu Rong also stood up and teleported himself out.

Soon, fans noticed that Chu Rong’s battle room lit up, with the words “ VS ” appearing behind it.

Two minutes later, Rong Tian chose to admit defeat and logged off immediately, followed by Qiao.

Everyone started scratching their heads again, and a subtle sense of understanding arose in their hearts–

Watching the game in person, playing against each other immediately after the game, actively admitting defeat during the game, not caring about his own record, and logging off together after losing.

This is love. Well, this really is true love. Those conspiracy theories out there seem particularly ridiculous at this moment.

There was also the look in Qiao Zhiya’s eyes looking towards somewhere in the audience during the game just now. His joy and admiration were completely undisguised… ahhhh! At this time, only screaming can express their complex emotions!

After going offline, Qiao Zhiya immediately climbed out of his Starnet Cabin, took out his special helmet and logged in to his anonymous side account.

A minute later, an account named sent a friend request.

Qiao Zhiya hurriedly accepted the request, and then an invitation came, which he accepted. The next second, he was teleported into a warmly decorated room, in which stood a tall, dark-haired man with an unfamiliar appearance.

“Chu Rong?” he asked carefully.

The black-haired man’s eyes fell on the youth’s white hair. He squinted, stretched out his hand towards him, and said, “It’s me, come here.”

With the familiar voice and familiar eye expression, the hesitation in Qiao Zhiya’s heart immediately disappeared, and he happily rushed over. Without any hint of hesitation, he buried his face in his arms and nuzzled him. “How long can you stay with me?”

“You must go to bed on time before 10 o’clock.” Chu Rong hugged him and rubbed his fluffy white hair. He deliberately asked, “Why do you have white hair on this account?”

With this question, he immediately remembered that he subconsciously chose white hair at that time1just a reminder, Chu Rong’s RL hair is white~. Instead of verbally answering, he blushed, and buried his face further into Chu Rong’s embrace. His squirming motions signified his embarrassment, and it looked a tad like he was silently asking to be pampered.

When Chu Rong saw this, the corners of his mouth turned up, and he hugged him tightly, enjoying the silent expression of love from his lover.

The two of them sat together for a while, and were discussing whether to go to the online shopping mall for leisure. Chu Rong suddenly stopped talking and sat upright. He looked at the place where the system prompts appeared. The smile on his face disappeared and it turned into a tight frown.

“What’s the matter? Did something happen?” Qiao Zhiya’s heart jumped once he realized Chu Rong’s sudden expression change. His face was filled with worry.

“No,” Chu Rong quickly adjusted his expression, touched his head, and explained, “It’s Xiangnan calling me to log off. It should be for a meeting. Sorry, I have to break my promise.”

Qiao Zhiya felt relieved. He nuzzled his palm, then stood up obediently. He suppressed his reluctance and said in a sensible manner, “It’s for work right? Don’t worry, it doesn’t bother me. I will go to bed on time, you should also go to bed early, good night.”

Chu Rong felt distressed again. He stood up, then bent down to kiss the youth’s forehead. “I’ll find you when I get back. Good night.” After that, he hurriedly logged off.

“Okay…I’ll wait for you.” Qiao Zhiya whispered as he watched Chu Rong’s avatar flickered off. He touched his forehead in silence, then properly logged off.

On the ship, Chu Rong took off his helmet, looked at Fan Xiangnan who was waiting aside with a frown. “What’s going on?”

“A black hole suddenly appeared on our return route.” Fan Xiangnan’s expression was solemn. He spoke faster than usual to summarize all the key points as succinctly as possible. “A team has been sent to check the situation. There is no sign of Zerg activities… yet.”

After hearing the news, Chu Rong was unexpectedly calm. He put away his helmet and looked sideways at the beautiful star-filled space outside the window. He said coldly, “Sure enough, it has appeared. This artificial… ‘gift’ finally appeared after being missing for over a decade. That old Emperor is indeed a good bait to use.”

Fan Xiangnan didn’t expect this calmness from Chu Rong. He felt worried. “Sir?”

“Let’s go and have a look.”  Chu Rong withdrew his gaze. He stood up and walked out while sneering. “I killed the Zerg Queen with my own hands back then. I want to see what can be drilled out of this ‘black hole’ now.”
