Xiang Hui: A colonel. The Xiang family’s current heir. Xiang Kun’s older brother.

Xiang Lingyun: Xiang family’s head. Xiang Kun and Xiang Hui’s father.

Long Xuyang: Long Baorou’s younger brother. The President’s youngest child.

Long Ruizhang: The President’s younger brother.

After counting the things in their hands, the two found that the situation was slightly better than they originally expected.

Although their mecha was broken, it was not too bad. All the repair tools and materials were available. It was only a matter of time until it’s functional again. They also had asic medical supplies, so safety could be guaranteed. All they had to consider now was how to figure out their own coordinates and find the way home.

Chu Rong’s mecha has limited energy supply. If they had no precise direction to go and could only fly around the universe like headless flies, they would more likely run out of energy. So first and foremost, they had to locate themselves.

They got no signal response here, so modern positioning methods were useless. Qiao Zhiya had the idea of using his bloodline traction magic array, but this was not urgent for now. He needs to take care of their state first.

The two then explored the surrounding environment to ensure the safety of their current resting area.

Previously, Chu Rong, because of worrying about Qiao Zhiya’s situation – furthermore, it was rather inconvenient also – only roughly determined the environment nearby and did not explore it carefully. Now that Qiao Zhiya has woken up, it was natural to carefully confirm it again.

For lunch, they used the nutrient solution from Qiao Zhiya’s storage ring to get by, and then they ended their exploration of the surrounding environment as night fell, returning to the spring.

“Our surroundings is an ordinary forest terrain, and there are no signs of humanoids or alien beast activity.” Qiao Zhiya summarized the situation, not forgetting to pick the ingredients for dinner. (technically “human”, but since other human-like races exist, I’m using “humanoids”)

Chu Rong was washing the dishes and chopsticks by the spring, his movements a bit clumsy but very serious and steady. Upon hearing this, he said, “The indigenous inhabitants of primitive planets usually harbor hostility towards outsiders. If we encounter other humanoids, it’s best to temporarily avoid them.”

Qiao Zhiya remembered the magic elements floating in the air here, and worried that the humanoids living here could use them like back in the Magic Continent. If that’s the case, then Chu Rong’s “exotic features” would be a little dangerous. So he nodded, no longer talking about making connections with the indigenous humanoids here.

After a simple yet cozy dinner, the two of them retired into the protective barrier to rest. Qiao Zhiya specially drew another protective magic array outside the shield, adding another powerful layer of insurance for their safety.

The two slept peacefully that night, but the Federation and Empire were all in chaos.

When Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya were swallowed by the black hole, the live broadcast was still running – the news of their disappearance or possible death spread immediately. In addition, the Zerg also reappeared, making people all over the Blue Galaxy panic.

Both the Federation and the Empire have launched emergency plans, and all planets have begun enforcing martial law to prevent people from traveling freely.

On the F90 planet, the Chu family’s army arrived in time to destroy the Zerg and rescued the participants. Then, they stationed directly on the planet, looking for the tracks of Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya while investigating the Zerg’s reemergence.

The competition’s official flagship was also taken over by the Chu family’s army. The participants were sent to reunite with their loved ones, while the officials were collected and supervised. An investigation inside the flagship immediately began.

“The Third Prince demanded to return to the Empire.” Tan Shengwei walked into the conference room, his brows frowning deeply, and he looked breathless.

Now that the Marshal and Qiao have been swallowed by the black hole together, their fate is uncertain. Everyone’s emotions are already in a terrible state, and now the Imperial Third Prince wants to cause trouble. His request to return to the Empire is just a matter of opening his mouth. However, he outright demanded the Chu family’s precious manpower escort him. Right now, everyone just wanted to stay on the F90 planet all day searching for their commander and Qiao. Who the hell has the time to escort him!

Upon hearing this, Lin Zhen, who usually has no expression, also frowned. Just as he was about to refuse, Chu Yan, who had been silent with his head down, suddenly stood up and said, “Just refuse directly. Say that the person who tried to assassinate him hasn’t been found yet, so it’s not safe to return to the Empire. Then arrange for someone to contact the Empire and have them send people over to take their precious Third Prince back!”

Everyone in the conference room looked at him with a strange gaze.

“What’s wrong?” Chu Yan frowned and looked back. His eyes were red, but he tried to maintain a calm expression. He clenched his fists tightly and said, “If my arrangement is not appropriate, you can—”

“No, it’s very appropriate.” Lin Zhen cut off his words. He looked a little relieved. He got up, walked over to him, and patted the youth on his shoulder. Have a good rest, you haven’t slept for a day.”

Chu Yan paused upon hearing this, then surprisingly nodded obediently. He walked towards the meeting room on his own accord, without further demanding to help find people on F90 planet, nor did he erupt into emotional frenzy again.

As everyone watched him leave, their suspended hearts eased slightly. Now everyone is very busy, and if this third young master continues to wreak havoc with his madness, the situation will only get worse.

The people within the Chu family, from top to bottom, all refuse to believe that Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya are dead, and they continue to search diligently for their whereabouts. However, the public who have watched the live broadcast don’t share the same sentiment. After all, it’s a black hole, a black hole that spat out many Zergs. No matter how formidable Marshal Chu is, it’s unlikely he could survive.

As for the higher-ups of the Federation and the Empire, they also shared the same beliefs with the public. However, some of them were pleased, while the others were worrying about it. The originally stable political landscape began to surge again.

Chu Huai hung up the “condolence” call from the President once again and asked in a deep voice, “How much longer until we reach F90 planet?”

As soon as the incident occurred, he immediately ordered the warships to set sail on a special course. Now, he is not only worried about Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya, but also concerned about Chu Yan, who witnessed his family members being swallowed by the black hole with his own eyes.

Although Chu Yan was usually an optimistic youth who wasn’t afraid of anything, deep down he was very sensitive and reliant on his family. Now, witnessing his loved ones in danger with his own eyes, he was concerned that Chu Yan might collapse under the pressure.

“At most eight hours,” Fan Xiangnan replied, casting a glance at his tired expression. He opened his mouth to offer reassurances but couldn’t find the proper words. Everyone’s mood was the same, and he couldn’t deceive himself or others with empty words of comfort.

The sound of the communicator suddenly rang out, and Chu Huai’s personal assistant, Zuma, quickly stepped aside to answer it. After listening for a moment, he paused, then hurried over to Chu Huai’s side and quickly said, “Chairman, it’s a communication from the Imperial High Advisor. He says he can confirm that Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya are safe.”

Upon hearing this, both Chu Huai and Fan Xiangnan looked over. Chu Huai, in an unusual display of agitation, quickly took the communicator and immediately initiated a video call and broadcasted it publicly. He urgently asked, “Can you really confirm it? Are they okay?”

The figure of the Imperial High Advisor appeared in mid-air. His complexion seemed somewhat pale, and his voice sounded a bit weak, but his tone remained calm as he nodded and replied, “Confirmed. After Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya encountered the incident, I immediately started calculating. I have just obtained the results. They are currently safe and not in any mortal danger.”

Upon hearing this, Chu Huai breathed a huge sigh of relief, finally releasing the tension in his nerves. Chu Rong had previously communicated with him about the Imperial High Advisor, and he knew the unpredictability of his power. He immediately believed his words and hastily asked, “Can you determine their location?”

The Imperial High Advisor shook his head and replied, “I’m sorry, I can only confirm that they are no longer on the F90 planet. I’m limited in my ability to determine their exact location. Additionally, the happenstance in this competition may be related to the Imperial Third Prince.”

The Imperial Third Prince?

Chu Huai frowned. After hanging up the communication, his relaxed expression immediately twisted into a sneer.

Once again, it’s the Empire. He thought to himself how coincidental it was that Xiao Yan and Qiao managed to both reach the finals with their abilities. Whether it was misplaced anger or irrationality, he was determined to hold the Third Prince accountable for Xiao Rong and Qiao’s disappearance this time!

He usually has a gentle temper, and rarely shows such a vicious expression. Fan Xiangnan and Zuma exchanged a glance upon seeing this, feeling relieved and calming down themselves.

Now that Chu Rong and Qiao Zhiya have been determined to be safe, it’s up to them to clean up this mess.

In the Xiang family, Xiang Lingyun put down his communicator, his expression wasn’t good.

“Father.” Xiang Hui greeted him, clearly implying something with his eyes.

Xiang Lingyun gave him a warning look and said, “Don’t act recklessly. Seeing is believing – you need to see the corpse to believe he’s dead. Chu Rong managed to crawl out of the black hole last time, so there’s a chance he can do it again. And even if he’s dead, he’s still hailed as a hero. Chu Huai is still here. We can’t snatch the presidential seat.”

Xiang Hui had an unwilling emotion in his eyes, but he didn’t say anything.

Xiang Lingyun glanced at him and sighed in his heart – even after saying so much, his eldest son still didn’t know what to do, alas.
