Word of the Limitless Edges humiliating defeat spread quickly after the battle. It was a surprise to all parties involved in the actual battle, but rumors didnt care about small details like truth. And the actual news was nicely mixed up with that same rumor, by design.
Obviously the Exalted Quadrant wasnt happy about Everheart showing up and causing trouble but if they were capable of doing anything about it, then he wouldnt have been a problem to begin with. But routing them around towards the Everheart Cluster at the same time might help exhaust all of our biggest threats at once.
