Leolde wonders what he should do with the children in front of him . Behind him  Barbaroto is quietly angry. He seems to be unable to tolerate the attitude of the children in front of him towards Leolde.

"Well, calm down. As I asked you earlier, did you steal the crops from the village down the road?"

"If so, then what?"

(Oh, ......! You're a criminal. ......)

The child raised his voice as if admitting to the crime. Leolde reacts to this as if he is troubled.

It's crime , even if he is a child. Leolde has to catch the child and bring him to justice.

However,   he is not too keen on this.

Perhaps the boy bandits have some reason to be there. It must have come from their grievances against their country.

But they are not the only ones who are unhappy . There are many other people who are unhappy. Then, they should not be given special treatment.

(I guess we should catch them. ......)

Leolde rubbed his eyes and pondered. It's easy to catch the kids here. And it will also solve the case.

But  he is not sure if that's really the right thing to do.

If  they catch the children here, it is obvious how the hungry wolf's fangs will move. There is no doubt that it will attack Leolde  and the others who have captured the children. If that happens, Leolde will not be able to miss the fangs of the hungry wolf.

In other words, there would be no choice but to annihilate the fangs of the hungry wolf.

Of course, the current Leolde could easily do that. However, there is a reason why Leolde is so worried.

It is because the Fang of the Hungry Wolf is a ally of the poor  people.

At the very least, if Leolde were to capture the Fang of the Hungry Wolf, he would be antagonized. If that happened, he might lose the trust he had regained. That's what he want to avoid it.

So   he want to overlook it,  but  he  can't.

After much deliberation, Leolde decided to persuade the children.

"If you give us back the crops you stole, we won't charge you with a crime..

Leolde tried to make things as easy as possible, but the children snapped at him.

"Don't be silly! We don't have enough to eat because of you nobles!"

"But that doesn't mean you should steal from  others."

"Ugh ......, but we can't live without stealing! It's all the fault of the nobles!"

"What you're doing right now is the same thing as that nobleman you hate.  What's the difference between you and the nobles?

"No, no! We only stole the bare necessities! But you nobles don't care about our situation, you take our money and food!"

"Noblemen also take the bare minimum. And unlike you, they are not stealing. They are paid for their services."

"The bare necessities"? You're lying! You  nobles take from us what you can and live in luxury!'

"Even if that's true, it's not a crime."

"......! But..."

"You've been talking about the nobles as if they're the ones to blame, but what's the difference between you and them stealing other people's crops? "

"You said it was the bare minimum, right?"

"What if that minimum is just for your convenience and it's a matter of life and death for the people   from whom you  stole it?"

"Can you take responsibility if those people die from lack of food because you stole their crops?'

"That's because the ...... nobles are ......"

"I fully understand that you have a grudge against the nobles. But that doesn't mean you can steal what belongs to others."

"...... Oh, ......"

As Leolde was about to approach the child, who no longer dared to argue, a shadow jumped into the air.

He jumped back as quickly as he could and turned his attention to the shadow that had jumped in.

"You are .......""

"Please forgive me, nobleman."

The one who jumped in was the girl called Karen who was in the Fang of the Hungry Wolf. Karen jumped in between Leoldo and the child and pulled them apart, then got down on her knees towards Leolde.

(Ah, you don't want to make a mess of things,......, and Jex is nearby.)

Leorde turned  his gaze to Barbaroto. When their eyes met, Barbaroto shook his head and understood what Leolde was trying to tell him. In contrast, Charlotte was in the midst of sighing absently.

"I'm sure there's another one hiding. Come out."

Leolde said to the hiding Jex.

But Jex refused to come out.

"Do you think I haven't noticed? If that's the case, you've been licked."

Fed up with Jex's refusal to come out after all this, Leolde fired a spell in the direction where he thought Jex might be hiding.

Then, in order to avoid the magic, Jex appeared.

"Finally, you show yourself."

"Did you really notice that, ......?"

"Oh, you're ...... Jex the Fang of the Hungry Wolf!"

"I didn't want to come out because of the knight that ...... was there."

"Okay. So, what do you want?"

"Huh! Do I have to tell you everything?"

"No. You're mostly here to help those kids, right?"

"Well, if you know so much, then let's get on with it. Can you let me off the hook this time?"

"Hey! Do you know what you're talking about?"

"Of course I know what I'm talking about. Hey, please, my lord. The kids stole this time, but they didn't mean any harm , you know?

(It's easy to forgive, though: ......)

But isn't this the perfect opportunity?

Because Jex was originally defeated by Zeke and the others and executed. And the items that Jex and the others had will belong to Zeke and co . Among them are the revival items, of which there are only three in the  destiny 48.

(The only one I can get my hands on is the phoenix tail feather that Jex has.)

Leolde, who had been meditating and quietly thinking, opened his eyes. Seeing Leolde open his eyes, Jex became nervous.
