Leolde, who is being looked at by everyone in the  meeting room , tells them that Charlotte will not be helping  them .

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Charlotte will not be involved in this matter. Therefore, it would be pointless to count her as an ally .

Some people were disappointed to hear Leolde's words, while others questioned him, saying they were not convinced.

"Yes. I'm very close to her, but she's only with me to satisfy her intellectual curiosity."

"But from what I've heard, you two get along very well, don't you?"

"Yes,  we are. She's only interested in me because I've revived transference magic."

"Then why  she is staying  so close to Count Leolde?"

" Well, you'll have to ask her.:

"One last thing. Does Charlotte know about this affair?"

"  She knows about it and she said she won't cooperate with me."

"So ......? ......"

The nobleman who had persistently persisted saw from Leolde's attitude, words and actions that it was true, and could not hide his disappointment. It could be said that Charlotte was the last hope for the kingdom. At any rate, she had a good relationship with Leolde and was considered friendly to the kingdom as well.

But unfortunately, the reality was not so bright . As Charlotte had told , it was true that she would not get involved in matters involving the state.

This left the kingdom with one less option. Moreover, it could be said that they had been relying on it the most.

After the question and answer session was finally over, Leolde took a breath. However, another nobleman immediately posed a question to him.

"Count Leolde. I would like to ask you a few questions. If  you will be   in danger, would Charlotte  help ? "

"I don't know, but it would depend on the situation. If it's a personal matter, she'll help , but if it's a war, like this one, I'm not sure she'll help .

"So you're saying that  you  could be saved depending on her mood, or rather, her feelings?"

"If it's a possibility or not, let's just say it is."

"Oh! So that's why Count Leolde  is so calm in this situation!"

Leolde  looked puzzled for a moment at the sudden turn of events. When the nobleman saw his face, he grinned and folded his arms in an attempt to push Leolde further.

"What a mess! The kingdom is in an unprecedented crisis right now, and Count Leolde is just ignoring it because he's not going to die!"

"Your Majesty! Count Leolde is apparently a heartless man who won't even discuss this matter seriously!"

"With such a heartless person, we will lose the war before  it even start ! Please give this heartless person the punishment he deserves!"

(Haha~ ......, e If you're trying to humiliate me, I'm not going to let you get away with it.)

The nobleman, convinced that his word reached th king  when he saw Leolde looking down and falling silent, laughed out loud inside. The next moment, however, Leorde pulls out something from his pocket.

"I didn't intend to give it out on this occasion, but if you're so inclined, I'll answer it too."

The next moment, Leolde took out a magic bag that she borrowed from Charlotte. He put his hand inside the bag and took out some documents. Leolde unrolls the rolled up documents and showed them to everyone.

"It's ...... hmm!""

The nobleman who had been trying to humiliate Leolde  opened his eyes to the limit when he saw the papers Leolde had unfolded.

You seem to be familiar with it. You know what this document is.

His eyes wide open and he is  in a cold sweat, tried to snatch the paper from Leolde, but Leolde wouldn't let him do this , and pulled the paper away.

The king, who was watching the scene, became curious about the document that Leolde was holding and asked him.

"Leoldo. What's that document you're holding?"

" This document is a contract, your majesty !"

The content of the contract is that if you betray the kingdom in this war, you will be welcomed as an Imperial nobleman."

"What the hell?

In addition to the king shouting in surprise, some of the nobles were also surprised. I'm sure you never thought there would already be a traitor in your life.

However, what was more curious was how Leolde  had such information. Besides, the contract Leore was holding in his hand must have been kept in a safe place.

(How on earth did he get hold of the contract?)

(Huh. Don't underestimate the fangs of a hungry wolf. They have a great intelligence network!)

(I know that you guys have been secretly meeting with spies from the Empire!)

(Well, if it had been a verbal agreement or something, it would have been impossible to hunt them down without proof, but they are nasty nobles. I'll give you credit for that!)

This time, Leolde raised the corner of his mouth with a grin. When the nobleman saw this, he clenched his teeth and appealed to the king to somehow get out of it, but the king wouldn't accept it because of the contract that Leolde had.

"...... Leoldo. Are there others?""

"Originally, I was going to report to His Majesty later. I didn't want to demoralize you before the battle, but there is more than one traitor. Here is the proof."

The king was puzzled by the number of contracts that came out of the magic bag one after another. He did not expect that so many of his subjects had betrayed him. It made his head hurt, but he would not be so kind as to let the traitors go free forever.

The king ordered the knights to throw those who had read and signed the contract he had received from Leolde into jail.

The number of nobles in the conference room dwindled, and the king rubbed his eyes before continuing.

He said, "Well. You surprised me earlier, Leolde. Is there anything else?

"No, your majesty , nothing in particular.

"Do you have any information we can use?"

"I'm sorry, I don't have anything useful for you  ......."

"I see. All right. Then let's continue the meeting."
