After escaping from the dungeon, Leolde runs as fast as he can. When he glanced behind him for a moment, he saw Glenn, who showed no emotion, chasing after him. Apparently,  he had managed to escape from the dungeon that Leolde had blocked.

However, he  was afraid of Glen chasing after  him . The devilish expression on his face is frightening, because it accentuates the eeriness.

The speed of both of them was almost the same, but Glen   cast his magic without regard to whether they were in the castle or not. The fireballs flew at Leolde again and again, and each time Leolde avoided them by flying and jumping

Oh, no! Damn it! We're in a castle and you're showing no mercy!

Leolde shouted in his heart. Still, he moved his legs as hard as he could, his brain spinning frantically as he thought.

(Think. What kind of orders is Glenn getting? The fact that he's still chasing me means that he's probably trying to eliminate the intruders. That means  he know we're here. How long have  he  known? If it was from the beginning, they would have placed Glenn at the underground canal.)

So that's when he left the underground. If that's the case, it's still possible that Arkwright had betrayed  us . That's the most likely possibility. Arkwright said that there was someone he wanted to help. This makes the most sense! He weighed that person against us and  betry  us .)

Leolde  concluded that Arkwright had betrayed  them  after all, and became angry at him.

But unfortunately, that's not true. Arkwright was really trying to help Leolde  and  co

Back in time, when Leolde was fighting with Glenn, Siegfried and  co  who escaped from the dungeon were found by soldiers and were being chased.

"Damn it! I'll take tem down !""

"Please don't use any unnecessary energy! This is enemy territory. Any number of reinforcements will come! So right now, we have no choice but to  run !"

Siegfried stopped to deal with the soldiers who were chasing him, but Monica criticized him.

"But there's no end to this!"

"Your Highness, Roselinde! There is place to hide!?"

It's frustrating, but Siegfried has a point. If they continued to run , they would get nowhere. So Monika asked Roselinde, who was familiar with the castle, if there was any place to hide.

"Yes, there is! Maybe we can hide there!"

"Then go there!"

"All right! Follow me!'

Roselinde, who had an   idea   where it was located ,  ran with Siegfried and the co in tow.Karen, running at the back of the pack, would occasionally stun a soldier who was approaching them,

However, some of the soldiers were tough enough not to fall even after being hit by Karen's blow. . Karen decided that it was impossible to defeat them all and increased her running speed.

(Are you okey Lord Leolde ? )

As she ran, Karen worried about Leolde. She couldn't help but worry that she had left Leolde alone, whom Karen would normally have to protect.

However, even if Karen had stayed behind, she would not have been able to  help him much. The opponent was the Empire's strongest Flame Emperor. No matter how well trained and strong Karen was, she would not last a minute.

If that's the case, the best choice would be for Leolde, the strongest of the members of the Imperial City infiltration mission, to stay behind.

( I have to get stronger. ......!)

(I'm not going to be protected forever)

Karen said, clenching her fists tightly.

After finally dispersing the soldiers, the group went into hiding in a room under Roselinde's guidance. The room was dimly lit and eerie, but as the group's eyes adjusted, they found themselves in a library full of books.

This is a rarely used library," It's not that the books in here are valuable. Well, most of them are things we read and wrote when we were children."

The group walked through the stacks while listening to Roselinde's explanation.

"Your Highness. For now, let's   not think  about this room and more about Setsuna, who is  located somewhere in this castle."

"Yes. You're right.""

Roselinde started thinking when Monica told her to. Roselinde had a habit of walking around when she thought about something.

(Why wasn't Setsuna in the dungeon? Did Brother Arkwright deceive us? No, that can't be it. Brother Atomus must have done something to  him . He was the best of the  persons  among outwitting people.)

T(hat's why he became emperor. But when you think about it, all  wec have to do is think of what Brother Atomus would have done. He's not afraid to do things that people don't like. ...... Perhaps he secretly moved Setsuna to another place! If so, where to?)

The only sound was Roselinde's footsteps echoing through the stacks. Roselinde meditated and concentrated on her thoughts, trying to figure out what Atomus was planned

"Oh, I see. That must be it!"

Roselinde opened her eyes and seemed to know what to do The rest of the  group saw this and waited for Roselinde's next words.

"Setsuna is probably  with the emperor. I'm sure he's laughing at us right now."

"Then let's go to the emperor, because it's our job to take him down anyway!"

"Yes!"

Siegfried banged his fist against his palm and made a popping sound, as if he was fully motivated. Roselinde nodded in response.

"Wait a minute. Your Highness Roselinde, do you have any proof?"

I'm not going to jump into the emperor's  hand just because of guessing ," Monika said to Roselinde.

I can't be sure, but it's what the emperor would do .

"'It's just too dangerous. Since our intrusion is already known, the emperor will have increased his security even more, and if we continue our assault, we will be beaten back.

"That's true, but that doesn't mean we can't continue to hide here, does it?"

"That's true, but ......

"What she said was correct, but it would be reckless to charge in without any proof."

' Besides, what if Setsuna was not with the Emperor? If  we are not careful, if Setsuna is also an enemy,  we won't be able to do anything but  getting into annihilation."

"I'd like to avoid that at all costs, but Roselinde is right, we can't stay hidden here forever. They already know we're in, so it's only a matter of time before they find us."

"Um, in that case, would you like me to go take a look?"

As Monica was thinking about how to stop them, Karen raised her hand and spoke up.
