The next day, Leold split up with Sylvia and headed for the library in the Holy City. Leold decided to research history first. He had studied history once when he was reincarnated after merging with his memories of the real person, but he did not know that much about it.

So he decided to take his time and look into the history of this world. When Leold arrives at the library, he instructs Gilbert and Barbaroto to collect books, while he himself wanders around the building in search of books.

It would have been quicker to ask the librarian, but Leold did not rely on the librarian, as he did not know where the information might leak out. But Leold's visit to the library would have already been known. But they would not know what he was looking for. Leold was vigilantly searching for books, so he collected them, making sure no one was watching him.

'Here's what I found: ......"

Leold gathered the books he had found in one place and sat down in an empty space. There are other customers using the library, but no one seems to be watching Leold. Leold also checks that there are no suspicious people around him, and then concentrates on his books.

(Hmmm ....... Creation myths. Come to think of it, I didn't see any mention of it in the destiny 48 game. There's only a goddess with an evil god . Well, it's an eroge and I didn't really care. ...... Now it's important. There's a lot I need to know.)

There is very little basic information about the Evil Deity that Leold knows. The only thing he knows is that he is the most powerful sealed Last Boss added as paid DLC. However, he don't really know what he is. The only information available is that it was sealed in the continent of the apocalypse during the War of the Gods that once existed.

Incidentally, even if there is a standing picture of the goddess, she does not appear, so she is outside the target of the strategy. In the first place, she does not interfere in this world, so there is no room for her to appear.

(Hmm, the lack of information is painful after all. ....... Let's just check it out from one side to the other.)

Leold then looks through the documents that Gilbert and Barbaroto have collected and unravels the history of this world.

(Hmmm... ....... There used to be seven gods, not just goddesses. The god of creation who created this world, the goddess who created life, and one pillar each for heaven, earth and sea. And the God of Wisdom and the God of War? And the God of Creation had become one with the world and disappeared, leaving the remaining six pillars to manage the world.)

Leold continues to read the creation myths of this world and finds some interesting details.

(But the world was at peace itself, so the god of war began to fight out of boredom. At first, he fought with the creatures of this world, but the goddesses found out and they fought. Eventually, the gods started a war. But the war was so intense that all but the goddess and the god of war were dead. To be precise, the other gods did not die, they just became their own respective places and concepts).

And Leold frowns at the last sentence.

(The battle ended only with the victory of the goddess, but the god of war was not dead. The goddess sealed him on the continent of Clowes and the war was over. ...... Huh? So the evil god is the god of war? No wonder he was so crazy strong.)

Recalling the Evil Deity he fought in the destiny 48 game, Leold knew that the Evil Deity was a god of war, and it made sense why the developers had made him so ridiculously strong.

(Now, I understand about the creation myth. What does the Pope want with an evil god, a god of war? No, wait? I'm pretty sure the god of war is an evil god, but the Pope must not know that. Is he just being seduced because he's aware that it's a different god from the goddess? Oh no, I've lost my sense of translation: ......)

After reading the creation myth, Leold thought and thought about what the Pope's purpose was, but the more he thought about it, the more he didn't understand.

(In light of the destiny 48 game, the Pope tried to resurrect the evil god, saying it was to create a new world or something like that. But the ritual was done in a half-assed way, so the thoughts, or I don't know if I should call them residues, took over the Pope's body and went berserk. Oh, I see. The evil god is a god of war, so he wanted a fight. The Pope didn't know that, so he tried to resurrect the evil god, or god of battle, by saying it's a new era or something.)

Simply put, the Pope was just used by the evil god as a bodyguard. Leold, who understands this, thinks that if he tells the truth, he will step in. Besides, the current Pope hasn't sacrificed any children yet, he's just formed a choir. Then, if he could be persuaded, he could end it without sacrifice.

(Will it really work that well? After all, the Pope believes in what God says. He will place more importance on God's word than mine, so it may be difficult to persuade him. But because he believes, the repercussions when he is betrayed are tremendous. If I can somehow convince the Pope, I'll be able to ....... Would it work if I said that the saint had a divine revelation? Hmmm ......)

Crossing his arms, Leold twisted his head, but no solution came to mind. Having gained something, however, Leold returned to the inn to meet up with Sylvia and the others.

However, on the way back, Leold suddenly remembered.

(Huh? It's rather common knowledge that the creation myth is written in detail in a book in the library, isn't it? Then the Pope knows that the evil god is the god of war, right? Ah, shit! Then the Pope wants a war too! No, I don't understand. ...... I guess I'll go back and discuss it with everyone else)

In the end, the mystery only deepens and Leold can't handle it alone . So Leold decided to consult Sylvia and the others
