Leold and Sylvia arrived at the cathedral, got off the carriage, and followed the priest's guidance into the cathedral. While walking through the glittering corridors, Leoldo looked at the paintings hanging on the corridor walls.

Leold had no idea of the artistic value of the works, so he had no particular opinion of them. If he had to say, he would have said, "It's a big painting," like a child. He should have developed a better sense of art.

Walking down the long corridor, the priest at the head of the group stopped dead in his tracks. Leold and Sylvia stopped at the same time. In front of them, they see a large door that looks as if it were made for a giant.

Leold braced himself, knowing that the Pope was probably waiting for them ahead. The man he is about to meet is the boss character of destiny 48 and reigns at the top of the Holy Church. If he was half-heartedly prepared, he would be easily swallowed up.

"Shall we go to His Eminence the Pope then?"

The priest in front of them looked back at the two behind him and smiled softly. From the outside, the priest seemed mild and gentle, but Leold was a little wary. Of course, he was not up to anything, but Leold could not let his guard down since they were in the enemy's stronghold.

The priest turned his attention back to the door and put his hand on it. As he did so, the door opened and light streamed in. For a moment, Leold and Sylvia cover their eyes at the light, but then they gasp at the sight that immediately catches their attention.

A statue of the goddess stood at the far end of the room, and behind her was a huge window pane that produced a fantastic scene. And there is similar glass on the ceiling.

(This is amazing. I've seen it in Destiny 48, but the real thing is something else again.)

Leold is impressed by a sight he had only seen on the other side of the screen, but he is soon brought back to reality.

"Welcome, my dear. Princess Sylvia, Count Leold on the Frontier".

As if guided by the voice, Leold turns his head. There was the Pope, dressed in robes more splendid than those of the priests who had guided him, and wearing a priestly crown on his head, which only the Pope was allowed to wear. The Pope smiles benignly, opens his arms, and welcomes them.

(Who would have guessed that such a kindly old man would be plotting the resurrection of an evil god? It's almost impossible, unless you know him through destiny 48. Well, I don't know if he's as good at gathering information as Char is.)

Perhaps because of what he knows from the destiny 48 game, Leold can't help but see the stinky smile on the Pope's face in front of him. Leold and Sylvia approach the Pope, wary that he may be up to something.

"Thank you for coming from afar,"

"No, thank you very much for inviting us".

After greeting the Pope in a polite manner, Leold and her highness face the Pope.

For a while, the Pope talked about the streets and history of the Holy Land to the guests, and the time passed. Leold is not really interested, but he does not want to spoil the other party's mood, so he listens to the Pope's talk while giving appropriate responses.

Finally, the Pope's idle talk came to an end, and he moved on to the main topic.

"I was not good at this. As I get older, my stories become longer and longer. Thank you very much for your patience with such an old man's long talk. Now then, I would like to congratulate the two of you on your engagement."

"It is my pleasure, too."

Leold and Sylvia bowed together and asked the Pope to give his blessing. Leold and Sylvia followed the Pope's instructions and moved from one room to another.

The room they arrived at was similar to the one they had just been in, but the interior was slightly different. Leold only moved his eyes to check if there was anything in the room, but he could not find anything particularly suspicious.

"The room I just mentioned is called the Blessing Room. The difference is that in this room, you receive the blessing of the goddess. The difference is that here you receive the blessing of the goddess, while over there is a place to pray to the goddess."

(Oh, I see. I didn't see that in Destiny 48. maybe it was a convenience for the producers?)

Hearing the Pope's brief explanation, Leold was thinking about something different.

"Now then, we will perform the Blessing Ceremony. Please wait a moment while I make the preparations."

Leold and Sylvia did as they were told and waited for the priests to arrive.

In front of them, the priests were busily moving around, and an altar was being built. Leold's face almost twitched as he realized that it was going to take quite a while. Leold looked at Sylvia and wondered what she was thinking as she watched the work in front of her. There was no change in Sylvia's expression, making it impossible to read her mind.

(I guess that's the quintessence of it. Maybe I'll leave the diplomacy to you when we get married!)

Seeing Sylvia, who, after all, is good at poker faces because she is royalty, Leold plans to throw all the diplomacy to her after marriage.

While Leold is thinking about this, the Pope walks up to Leold and Sylvia, seemingly ready to perform the blessing ceremony.

"Now that everything is ready, please come this way."

With that being said, they followed the Pope and the blessing ceremony began.
