Chapter 636: Long tail (15)

Support Ex-Rank

In front of Eungwang High’s south gate.

Players from the Red Lion Team were fighting against enemies.

At the beginning of the Pig Clan minions’ attack, the fight continued to a point where Yeom Bangyeol had to come forward himself, but now it has entered a lull.

Those placed in front of each gate succeeded in hunting the Pig Clan, and the minions gradually lost their power.

All the enemies they were dealing with now were from the otherworld.

“There’s no problem maintaining the front line as a defender. But…”

The member who was reporting to Yeom Bangyeol trailed off his words.

The Red Lion team members would sometimes stare nervously at the opaque boundary.

They couldn’t be relieved knowing that Yeom Junyeol was inside and someone could be coming after them.

If they hadn’t known that Yong Jegun and Chokryong were in there, they might’ve rushed to break in despite the energy poison or whatever it was.

It was the same for Yeom Bangyeol himself.

However, Yeom Bangyeol continued command of the defensive line and didn’t give the order to enter.

“They can’t use much power with the miracle on our side. Whatever cold or poison that is, it’s become light so we can enter anytime.”

“I was surprised when the boundary became frozen. But I think it’s going to work out thanks to the miracle. Shouldn’t we move forward with attacking the otherworld?”

“Let’s hurry up and clear that annoying otherworld and meet Junyeol-ie.”

The Red Lion members’ words were like sweet poison to Yeom Bangyeol.

Yeom Bangyeol’s mind was occupied by his son inside the school, but he showed great patience.

‘That kid hasn’t given a signal yet.’

As the team members said, the sky opened and three lights poured out which made the cold spell disappear.

However, that phenomenon wasn’t the signal foretold by Jo Euishin.

It’s unclear how much Jo Euishin predicted, but it’s highly likely that he didn’t expect superior beings to suddenly intervene through a miracle.

A complicated situation must be happening.

‘If we go in and increase the variables further, the plan might go wrong.’

Yeom Bangyeol spoke sternly to the team members who were waiting for his order.

“We wait. Not yet.”

Hearing Yeom Bangyeol’s firm words, everyone shut their mouths.

Yeom Bangyeol must be more concerned than anyone since Yeom Junyeol is his son.

The team members weren’t stupid enough to force their will or disobey his orders.

And so they continued with the defense tactic, when…

“Master.”

A very small voice was heard in the wind.

Yeom Bangyeol focused on the voice without turning his head.

The owner of the voice was a member of Red Lion’s intelligence unit.

They were hiding their presence and only whispering in Yeom Bangyeol’s ear.

“The shamans moved as expected.”

Yeom Bangyeol listened to the voice while staring at the school, his expression grave.

Yeom Bangyeol’s companion is a descendant of the Dragon Clan.

Therefore, he considers the Dragon Clan and the Dragon King’s shamans as his family.

Among those shamans though were those who participated in the attempted assassination of Yeom Junyeol and Yong Jegun and tried to sprinkle snow over Eungwang High.

And those who tried to kill Yeom Bangyeol’s family are his enemies.

Yeom Bangyeol commanded the intelligence department to monitor the shamans to determine which of them were family and which of them were foes.

‘Three out of five said they’d shop for Christmas presents, and two would stay and pray.’

The oldest Yoohwang (Sulfur) and the youngest Hong (Red) said they’d stay to pray.

The strongest shaman Nok (Green), the shaman Byeok (Jade) who hears the voice of the Dragon King most often, and shaman Ja (Purple) who’s closest to the Dragon Clan and humans.

Those three shamans said they’d go out shopping.

And so the Red Lion intelligence team moved in two.

One was in charge of monitoring Yoohwang and Hong who remained to pray, and the other was in charge of following the three who went shopping.

“We’re now confirming the presence of the shamans.”

Yeom Bangyeol’s expression didn’t change while listening to the report, but his mistrust toward the shamans seemed to be aflame.

The report went on.

“I checked the prayer altar, but we can’t see beyond because of the thick boundary. The three who went out for shopping suddenly dispersed and disappeared so that we couldn’t follow them.”

According to the report, all five shamans are out of sight of the Red Lion.

It’s become difficult to know what they’re doing at the altar and those who went shopping are heading.

The shamans are sensitive to dragon energy, so the Red Lion was in charge of digging after them.

It seems to be a mistake now though.

“It’s possible that they knew they were being surveilled from the beginning. I apologize, sir.”

The shaman and Yeom Bangyeol have been family for a long time.

But it seems to be for a different agenda.

‘They studied us to betray us. I didn’t know their betrayal was so deep-rooted.’

The skills of the intelligence team were by no means easy.

It would’ve been impossible to escape their eyes without knowing beforehand their skills.

Yeom Bangyeol blamed himself for not thinking about it.

But the road wasn’t closed yet.

Yeom Bangyeol recalled the benefactor who had been protecting his family, breaking down all the incidents involving the shamans of the Dragon King.

‘We might be able to borrow the benefactor’s power.’

Yeom Bangyeol looked ahead, thinking of his benefactor who saved his son.

There was a huge crisis ahead of them to reconsider the case of the shamans.

So Yeom Bangyeol decided to wait for the signal that Jo Euishin said would appear.

Mt. Cheonik, in front of the Class 3-0’s hideout.

The members of the Hwangmyeong Foundation dressed in doll costumes appeared amid the capture of the Cow Clan.

Those doll clothes were made by Eungho himself.

But the Class 3-0 seniors didn’t know and ran wild.

“Identify yourselves!”

“Hey, they could be royal lineages again! Get ready for battle!”

Fwaat! Hwing!

It’s natural that they’d be wary because they came straight to the forest and found the hideout so easily.

It will be impossible to come here unless they know the coordinates of this place or have a sense of direction of a beast.

It was Professor Ham who informed them of the coordinates though.

“I’m the one who called them. You probably saw me using a carrier pigeon item earlier.”

“That’s true, but how do you know if those people are the ones you called! I don’t think anyone can see through that uselessly well-made costume!”

“What if the people you called suddenly got captured by royal lineages and came here!”

The seniors concluded that they should attack first, saying that it would be too late if the people identified themselves first.

“Haha, it’s good to be on guard. But you can’t hurt them if you’re not sure that you’re enemies.”

Sung Siwan’s words seemed to imply that it was okay to attack as long as they weren’t hurt.

He must agree that the masked people should identify themselves first.

‘It’s not a bad thing to be vigilant. Although it’s unlikely that other royal lineage found the three tigers who hid their presence with Eunho’s clothes.’

I can’t rule out the possibility that the Black Screen has read all my plans.

But if they did, there would be more deaths than survivors by now.

Ignorant of such a situation, Class 3-0 was about to explode before Professor Ham said anything.

Before the professor’s expression became more grim, the Tiger Clan people spoke first.

“It’s alright. We know those students.”

“Well, show us your faces first.”

Do those three tigers know Class 3-0?

The tigers took off their doll masks one after another.

When their faces were revealed, the seniors spat exclamations as if they were really acquainted.

The Jiikhoe members seemed to know them too.

“You people are from… Uh… Hello.”

“Yes, it’s been a while, student Sung Siwan.”

The eyes of Class 3-0 opened wide when they saw the tigers greet Sung Siwan.

Looking at that, it seems like they really met before.

“Oh, aren’t they the Hwangmyeong Foundation employees who kicked us out last time?! No, they could be fake!”

“Yeah! Royal lineages can wear masks or something!”

“But why are they wearing doll clothes? Oh, is it because of the Christmas event?”

The Hwangmyeong Foundation employees kicked out Class 3-0 seniors before?

There are so many things that happened that I don’t know which case it was.

Seeing that the Jiikhoe members know the tigers as employees of the Hwangmyeong Foundation, it seems to be an accident on Mt. Cheonik, but there are still many candidates.

Anyway, looking at the way the Class 3-0 seniors spoke, it seems like they wanted to attack the tigers not out of caution but out of selfishness.

“If student Woo Kihwan is suspicious of us, then we’ll explain in detail. At that time, student Bang Yoonseob of Class 1-2 was caught smoking in Mt. Cheonik. The place that was discovered was a hideout secretly made by Class 3-0…”

It was because of Bang Yoonseob smoking in Mt. Cheonik!

That must be when Class 3-0 and the Tiger Clan people met.

Not long after it was revealed that the earth power in the mountain was being disrupted by the Pig Clan, Bang Yoonseob was caught shamelessly smoking in the mountain.

Upon hearing the alarm, Hwangmyeong Foundation employees and Tiger Clan people with fire extinguishing items were dispatched and scolded Bang Yoonseob.

And Class 3-0, whose hideout was discovered because of Bang Yoonseob, also went crazy.

‘…They managed to create another hideout and avoid the eyes of the Tiger Clan.’

Perhaps the Tiger Clan people were thinking the same thing, but seeing the tent hidden behind the fallen leaves like this was ridiculous.

The more we listened to the story, the more it became clear that those people were really employees of Hwamgmyeong Foundation, so there was no reason to attack them.

However, Class 3-0 still rattled.

As the representative, Woo Kihwan stepped up.

“What were you doing when we students were fighting?”

“…”

The seniors were weird and vindictive, but their question was valid.

The tigers, who were speaking eloquently just now, shut their mouths.

They are currently fighting bloodshed with other royal lineages who were holding rituals throughout Eungwang High, found through Cheon Dongha’s light skill.

Since the tigers weren’t authorized to reveal this to students, Professor Ham Geunhyung spoke instead.

“There are battles going on in Eungwang High. Those who know this situation among the faculty members, including me, are fighting.”

“Hm…”

Woo Kihwan was convinced by Professor Ham Geunhyung’s explanation, but there seemed to be a lot of ambiguity still.

Anyway, the students accepted that the faculty weren’t just sitting around but moving to solve this case.

When the Tiger Clan people were dragging the fallen cows and everyone was headed back to the Jiikhoe Hall…

I caught a gap to talk to Professor Ham Geunhyung.

“I’ll leave this up to you, Professor.”

“…Sounds like you’re going separate ways.”

“Yes. The miracle done by Professor Yong Jegun is blocking the snow, but it hasn’t stopped.”

I still had work left to do on Mt. Cheonik.

“I’m going to stop the snow.”
