They are a mixture of human and elf blood.
Although they were despised as 『Unclean Blood』 their abilities were not necessarily low.
In fact, they have both human and elven qualities, and are able to compensate for each other’s deficiencies.
Humans have greater physical ability than elves, but less aptitude for magic. Very few humans awaken as wizards.
In contrast, elves have a very high aptitude for magic but low physical ability. Each one of them has excellent abilities as a magician, but their……bodies are poor themselves. They could hardly handle metal weapons and could only use a bow and arrow at best.
These half-breeds have the best of both worlds, with physical abilities on par with humans and magical powers on par with elves.
