Chapter 112

I am relaxing in the living room when our lift arrives. Time to go then.

“Good day.”

“Good day!”

Along with my sister, I climb into the car that Ellie and Abbie have arrived in, to head to school. Haa, so easy! And it’s even better because the inside of the car is warm!

“I wonder if the patch notes will be released soon.”

“When will they come out?”

“It will probably be around noon, as usual.”

Yamamoto-san will likely stream, and they should be released at the same time. That’s how it has been so far.

I part with my sister due to being in different years, then continue on to the classroom along with Ellie and Abbie.
We greet Ichinomiya-san, who arrived before us, and take our seats. Then enjoy a leisurely chat.

“The defence battle was fun.”
“The ship was fun!”
“I honestly regret having to endure all the shaking…”
“I was up in the sky, but the skill experience was tasty.”

The time for class has come while the four of us were chatting away, so let’s focus on the lesson. I’m looking forward to lunch break!

With the chime for the end of the class, the quiet classroom buzzes with noise.

“Dinner!”
“Let’s go to the cafeteria.”

Suguru and Tomohiro have come over, and Ellie, Abbie and Ichinomiya-san are invited to come with us too. As expected, Colette-san and Dorothy-san don’t need to follow along anymore. I guess they were just worried. In the first place, Ellie and Abbie aren’t really the kind of people that would struggle without attendants, so I think they were being overprotective…
At the cafeteria we meet up with my sister, Yanase-san and Matsutake-san. That brings us up to a rather large group of nine.

『Hey, it’s the important person. Wait a minute.』

Yamamoto-san’s stream is playing on the tablet.
It’s impossible for nine of us to see the same screen, so we’ll watch it separately.

『Okay, let’s get started. It’s a big patch this time. The main points then… First of all, ‘Weapon Sets’ have been added. This is a rather common feature. It’s a function that will let you change all of your equipment at once.』

As a concrete example, it’s easy to understand with attributes. Say you were to register two sets, with names such as ‘Fire’ and ‘Water’. According to the hunting ground, and enemies you will face, you select the appropriate one to automatically equip your fire-resistant armour and water weapon, or vice versa. If you take the time to set this up beforehand, you can save yourself the trouble of changing each piece.

『You can set this up to change just the equipment without affecting the appearance. Or do it the other way around, if you want to change only the appearance.』
“I don’t think I’ll use it much!”
“Just my dress is fine.”

I don’t think I’ll use this much either, since I have my equipment set…

『Next, additional targets for «Throwing». This will allow you to throw players. Of course, this is going to be affected by the size and weight of the target, the strength of the one throwing and so on.』
“I don’t have throwing.”
“I’ve got no plans to take it at the moment either.”

Tomohiro is a pure mage, so there is no point in taking it, and while Suguru is a giant and could make use of it…he doesn’t seem to have any need for it in terms of his playstyle.
Lizzy has «Throwing Technique», so maybe she could throw #1. …Whatever purpose that would serve.

『Next, there’s a major revision to «Linguistics».』
“What was that? Even though I maxed it!”
“So you maxed it out, Onee-chan…”
“Oh, that one should get stuck around the middle.”

Because I had to get taught it from that point.

『To be more specific, it was decided to classify them as the languages of the various races. Dragon language, human dialects and so on. It will make the world more realistic, but if you don’t have the skill, you won’t be able to hold a conversation! Of course, the races classified as humans will remain the same. As for the inhumans–』

Although they’re not human, not much will change for the inhuman players. Even if you choose an inhuman race, you can still understand the language of the Residents classified as humans without any problems.
Players can talk to each other without any problem, but if they talk to different species, their language proficiency will increase and they will be able to learn the other’s language.
These languages are basically classified matching the ‘Family’ section shown by «Identification», with some exceptions.

『As a premise, both sides should have the relevant skill. If a goblin player and a wolf player talk normally, the wolf will eventually learn the goblin language and the goblin the wolf language. It’s important to note here that even if you learn it, it’s not always possible to have a conversation.』
“What does that mean?”
“Isn’t it a matter of being able to pronounce it correctly?”
“Ahh.”

I feel like Ellie’s answer to Ichinomiya-san’s question is correct. Originally, except for a few races, inhumans couldn’t talk to humans, so it will now be the same for talking to inhumans.

“…won’t this make it harder to hunt?”
“That might be true?”

Is what Yanase-san and Matsutake-san say, but… Ah, that’s what they mean. I certainly wouldn’t like that…

『I hate intuitive kids like you…is what I could say, but you can rest assured. These «Linguistics» skills will only work for those who intend to communicate. For those of you who didn’t catch it, you won’t be able to understand the mobs in the fields. They won’t be crying out to you that it hurts, don’t worry. I wouldn’t want to make such a hellish game.』
“”That’s good.””

Ah, what a relief! Every time you went out to level up, it would grind away at your spirit!

『I also want to reassure you that there shouldn’t be any situations where you run into language barrier situations right after this update. Players who meet special races or people of special status should be careful, but it is more likely that they have learned the common language of the human races. Lastly, because there are major changes to «Linguistics», we will send email notifications to those with the relevant skills.』

I’ll check the details in the email, but the Chancellor and Lana are old, so I wonder about that. I think Stellura-sama’s Outer Ones are covered by «Ancient Divine Linguistics», so there should be no problems there.

『Next then… Changes to the attribute weakness multipliers! This has a huge impact on inhumans, so please be sure to check it. Up until now it has been rather disjointed, based on race and various other things, but it is now unified to some extent, based on level band. Unless there is some special setting, they should be similar.』

Basically it should make it harder for me to die, which would be a buff. However, it will also make things harder to defeat, so a debuff too.

『As the level goes up, and following evolutions, the multiplier will decrease, but the weaknesses will not disappear, so please bear it in mind. Due to having physical immunity, slimes have a higher weakness multiplier than others and while I won’t mention a name…there is a person who flew off to a crazy race all their own. That person has weaknesses too. As long as you are an inhuman race, there are no exceptions.』
“I understand, you mean me.”
“Of course.”
“What’s your weakness, Onee-chan?”
“I won’t say, because you’ll betray me.”
“Tch!”

I won’t forget the sports day, my sister.
Well, in the end, the weakness is still the same.

『The other thing that will have a big impact is… the change to size settings. There are no changes to the ‘minimum’ and ‘small’ sizes that humans can fall under, but there are changes to the larger sizes. 2 to 3 metres is ‘medium’. 4 to 9 metres is ‘large’. Above 10 metres will become ‘maximum’. Previously, 3 metres and above was maximum, which was too general…hence the change.』

Will this make it more difficult to collect capacity…? Plain, but troublesome.

『Options for equipment durability feedback…or, getting more worn out and tattered as durability decreases! There was some talk of it, but it was rejected in the end, because it’s a game for all ages. It would also have been quite resource intensive. Please put up with getting wet and dirty, like before. There won’t be any undressing as it breaks!』
“That…that so…”
“There’s no choice but to make it look tattered from the start.”

Would damage be decided for each of the bones? As he said, that would be quite heavy on processing, and it is an all ages game. …There are still zombies, though!

『Next is the addition of communities. The upper limit is 100 people, for the time being. Chat is not possible. Only communications such as party recruitment and announcements can be used. It’s meant to be a looser gathering than a guild. For example, inviting party leaders, solo’ers, guildmasters and submasters in preparation for future raids.』
“There’s 24 people in a raid, so there’s plenty of room with 100 people, but…is a union not good enough?”
“Is the point to make it easier to gather for defence battles?”

My sister and Tomohiro are talking about it, but I wonder what it’s actually like…
For me, the usual group is 5 people, including the twins. My sister has 5. Tomo’s party is 6, if including the class rep. Ellie’s is 4. There are 6 in each of Cecil-san’s, Kotatsu-san’s, Ruzebarm-san’s and Musasabi-san’s parties. And there’s also the solo’ers. …I think that’s around 50 people.
There’s no problem including all the people who usually play together. There’s also the crafting team and those who I registered as friends, but don’t often meet…Yura-san, Mizuki-san, Ayumu-san and a few others…I wonder what will happen.

『Master-disciple relationships can be formed between players who are more than 11 levels apart. You can make effective use of this to support beginner guildmates and friends.』

The teacher doesn’t get any experience, but it is allocated to the student. The teacher becomes somewhat stronger than the student and while healing remains the same, there are restrictions on damage and support. There are no restrictions on arts or magic you have already learned.
This is a feature I don’t plan to use.

『Another big one is…the release of the arena! There will be multiple modes available!』

There are two types: practice and ranked. There’s a participation fee of 1k for practice and 10k for ranked. You can choose between monsters or PvP for practice.
PvE practice, you can choose a monster to fight against. You can apply solo or in a party.
PvP can be joined solo or in a party, or through matchmaking.
The ranked mode is a time attack against specific monsters, changing once a month. You can apply solo, in a 3 person party or a 6 person party.

『It can also be used for player events. It can be solo, party, raid, union or guild. You can play tournaments or make it round-robin. You can do time attacks against specific monsters. Use it as you like.』

The practice mode against monsters sounds fun. The facilities at Evernight Castle or good for parrying, but that might be better for reflecting. I should be able to play by limiting myself to defeating enemies with just reflected long range attacks.
Apparently you can only select enemies that you, or someone in your party, have already encountered…so it’s impossible to train against them in advance.

『That’s all! Now then, do your best with studying and working this afternoon. So far, the update is going well. Farewell, everyone!』

The stream has ended.

“So, the arena. It seems like you can choose enemies you have met…but how far does that go?”
“How far?”
“I mean, is it possible to fight Residents with combat ability…or so.”
“Like knights and adventurers.”
“In my case, I’ve met Nyar-sama and Hastur’s incarnation, and I wonder if I can choose the Arch-Lord of Tindalos…”
“Sounds dangerous.”
“And we met Shub-Niggurath at the event.”

Well, it’s not something I’ll be able to find out by talking to my sister about it.
As Tomohiro says, those of us on the first server of the Halloween event saw Niggurath. And I wonder about the Black Goat, the Triffid from the camp event, and so on. If we’re free to have a rematch, that’s going to be fun.

We return home after school ends and the free time before the maintenance finishes passes quickly while chatting with Ellie and Abbie. We spend time talking over a cup of tea, then disband shortly before the end of maintenance.
I wash up the used cups while applying the patch, then it’s time to log in.

…I received an email from management, so I’ll check it out for the time being.

Dear Anastasia Atropos Nemeseia.
Hello, this is the FLFO management team.
This email is only being sent to players who will be significantly affected by the November update.
Anastasia will be affected in the following ways:

The size of the main body.
Due to the changes, the main body will increase in size, to scale with ‘maximum’ now being over 10 metres. The incarnation will be unaffected, so there is no need to worry about it.

 Regarding «Linguistics»
The names of skills following the base «Linguistics» have changed and new skills have been added.

 Renamed skills
Before: «Magic Linguistics», «Sorcery Linguistics», «Ancient Divine Linguistics».
After: «Magic Linguist», «Sorcery Linguist», «Ancient Divine Linguist».

 New skills
«Linguist», «Monster Linguist», «Ancient Linguist».

As you know, the «Linguistics» skill was treated differently from other skills, but it has now been further changed.
Until now, language skills were learned, and learning the language increased your understanding and the effects of the skill. Some skills will remain unchanged, but the learnable number of languages has increased to such an extent that they will now be displayed as arts.

«Linguistics»
[Common language of human races]
The language used by the humans, beastmen, elves, dwarves, giants and machineries, that are currently classified as human races.

«Linguist»
[Dialects of various nations]
The dialects of the Principality of Markarant, the Dinite Empire, etc.

And so on. We will not go into more detail, as it could be considered a spoiler.
Along with these changes, the backbone of the language system has changed, so please look for a library if you are interested.

P.S: When the maintenance began, Anastasia was the only person to have maxed out the «Linguistics» line, so the contents of this email have not been sent to anyone else. Please be assured that there have been no spoilers given, such as regarding «Ancient Divine Linguistics».

I…see. It changed quite a bit.
Well, according to the system message… the skill tree for «Linguistics» has changed, so I should take a look.
Until now, the order was «Linguistics», «Magic Linguistics», «Sorcery Linguistics», «Ancient Divine Linguistics».
Now it is longer, going «Linguistics», «Linguist», «Ancient Linguist», «Sorcery Linguist», «Ancient Divine Linguist».
The one that I don’t have, which is greyed out, is «Linguist». If I don’t take that one, then «Ancient Linguist», «Sorcery Linguist» and «Ancient Divine Linguist» will be penalised. That’s a problem. The activation keywords for my spells use the ancient divine language. It makes it highly likely that they will be less powerful.

I’ll go ahead and activate everything.

<Calculating the consumed SP and the required SP…….>
<13 SP will be consumed to activate the selected skills.>

So much!?
From what I remember…it was 3, 6, 10,16? There’s one more skill along the way now, which must be why it’s 13… Well, it’s good that I have some left over. I don’t have the option of not taking it.

<The problem caused by the update has been resolved.>

Yes. It connects from «Linguistics» to «Ancient Divine Linguist» again now.
Now I’m interested in «Magic Linguist» and «Monster Linguist». These two are separate branches of the skill tree. They are not connected to each other, but are independent lines.
«Magic Linguist» and «Monster Linguist» cost 10 SP each…expensive. They’re not directly connected to «Ancient Divine Linguist», so they’re not essential…but what should I do.
Let’s take them!

<You have fulfilled specific requirements and acquire 『Title: Multilingual Speaker』.>

By the way, the title I had has changed too. Let’s check.

[The One Who Understands the Spirit of Language]
A commemorative title given to those who know a powerful language, forgotten long ago on the surface.

[Multilingual Speaker]
You have the foundation to learn all languages.

Titles with no special effects.
Information on the arena will show up later on the BBS. Then…I’ll visit the library. Going around other libraries is a pain, so I’ll go to the Celaeno Library .

I say hello to the conical Celaeno Library Management Organism… Now, where to look.

After going a little further in, «Intuition» reacts to something above me. …I’ll have to fly to get up there. The scale of this library is strange. Books up high enough that you’ll hurt your neck looking. And moving shelves. A massive fantasy library. There would definitely be some laws broken building a place like this.
I use «Coordinate Levitation» to head up and collect the book that reacted.

Reflections on the history of language and magic.
Language began as the ancient divine language used by the gods.
Spirits began to imitate their parents. The special words spoken by the gods when they used simple powers. The language of sorcery was born.
Spirits can be found everywhere in the world. While they may not be seen, they can sometimes be heard. Some monsters created their own language, based on the words of the spirits. This was the birth of the monster language.
The elves and dwarves, who could see the spirits, were taught by them how to establish the form of language. The ancient elvish and dwarvish languages, based on the language of sorcery, were created.
As time went on, the languages changed.
We do not know if it began as a fascination with lore and myth, as a desire for superiority, or to counter the threat of monsters.
However, as people began to study the control of magic power they turned to the languages of folklore and the spirits.
They searched in many different directions and formed their own language. Out of admiration for the gods and spirits, it was named magic.

It is wonderful that they turned their attention towards language, but they should have just kept following it back, along the history of language. The languages of the human races, the language of spirits and fairies and the language of the gods.
Though their very existence is so different that even if one reaches the language of the gods it cannot be treated the same way.
In that sense, it my be correct for each race to establish its own form. The fact that the race still exists should prove as such.

※The simple power of the gods
God’s power is too strong. To supress any more force than was necessary on the surface, only ‘waste’ was used…or so it seems.
The spirits may not have been clearly taught about the words of power. Therefore, words evolved into a means of communication.

Author: Cyäegha

…………
I see, I’ll leave aside the author for now. So this is the «Linguistics» tree. The ancient divine language, sorcery language, ancient language…and the language used by humanity now, as they evolved over time.
The main tree of «Linguistics» follows it back to «Ancient Divine Linguistics». The magic language and monster language are probably separate branches because they developed on their own.

The waste of the gods. Words of power. And the spirit of language title. They are probably the keywords used to activate magic in the ancient divine language. At this point, it becomes possible to see the difference in power between us and the gods.
I have an understanding of the backbone of it for now. It doesn’t change anything, but such things are the spices that make the game more enjoyable.

Checking the main body… can be done with a glance next time I die, since it should only have gotten a bit bigger. Alright, time to go home. There are still some things to check, so let’s go back to the palace.
I can sit and look over my stats in my room. My weakness multiplier remains unchanged at 1.2 for physical. Magic reduction is also unchanged.
For weapon sets, I’ll just register my current equipment, for the time being. As for the arena, it should be easiest to understand if I just wait for some videos, rather than posts on the BBS.

Now then, what next.
Maybe play around with [Magic Alchemy]? …Speaking of which, that was also a language system, but I wonder if anything has changed. I’ll compare the current one with the one I was in the process of editing.
……..? What is this? I don’t know how this is meant to work. It’s a mixture of sorcery and magic languages. I honestly don’t think it was always like this. Which means…did I mess up? I was probably fiddling around trying to improve it, but perhaps I lost track of what I was doing. Or did I only keep a failure?
The one I gave to my master is unified in the sorcery language. The [Magic Alchemy] formation I’m working on now is unified in the ancient divine language, so it will be more efficient. When I finish with this, I could make the other formations in the ancient divine language for myself.

『Improved alchemy formation』
You have made a great contribution to the development of the alchemy industry by improving the inefficient alchemy formation.

Condition: Give the improved formation to an alchemist.
Reward: You can receive a new alchemy kit from the alchemist you gave it to, increased reputation and recognition with people related to alchemy, increased recognition with the upper echelons of each country.
※There is no video for this quest.

Oh… this…
Upgrading the alchemy formation must have been a chronicle quest. It looks like there isn’t a video because aside from the improving the formation, everything was left to my master, a Resident.

<<A specific chronicle quest has been completed by a player. This will cause a revolution in the alchemy industry, which will have a significant impact on the amount of alchemy-related goods in stock.>>

Hmm? ….Ah, the improved efficiency for refining will increase work speed and magic efficiency. Production will increase and the stock in the shops will increase, as a result. There’s no effect on the raw materials, so it shouldn’t affect the market price, but… I wonder. Well, if the prices in shops change, there will be information on the BBS.

What I’m interested in is the housing. What will happen to the alchemy room? The alchemy formation is carved into the floor of the room, so it’s a bit inconvenient if it doesn’t affect this.
The housing menu is….ohh? There’s a new one!

[Furniture] Improved Alchemy Room Rarity: Le Quality: C
An improved version of the alchemy room, with the enhanced formation.
The room itself is engraved with an alchemy formation, and you can convert or build a room to benefit from it.
Increase in alchemy quality: max.

Renovation 800,000 / Extension 1,400,000 / Replacement 100,000…I see. It’s only about 100,000 more than the original alchemy room, if I remember correctly.
Let’s replace the room immediately. It’s going to rewrite the current formation with the new one. Checking the room, I can see that the only change in appearance is the pattern of the alchemy formation. That was the whole point, so of course.

I tell Elianora, who has been waiting nearby, that I am heading out, then transfer away. I want to go and see my master, so to the Starting Town.
Now that I think of it, I didn’t check on Sophie-san… I didn’t hear anything from Elianora or any of the others though, so there shouldn’t be any problems.

“Master.”
“Ah, you’re here. Take this with you. I was happy about my work becoming easier.”
“I’m glad to hear that.”

I received an improved alchemy kit.

“I’ll take the older kit and cores back, if you don’t need them.”
“Sure, please do.”

I won’t be using the old one any more. It will only become fertiliser in my storage, so I’ll hand it over.
After talking for a little while, I leave master’s shop.

So, where to next.

“Ah, Princess!”
“Good day, Primula-san.”
“Good day! Do you have some time now?”
“I should have?”
“Then come to my place!”

It seems like she has something she wants to show me, so I’ll go take a look. But Primula-san is a woodworker, isn’t she? I don’t think there’s anything in particular I would use…
For the time being, I’ll follow her. From the central square where the statue is, to Primula-san’s shop. I’m guided to the workshop, where the saws and other tools are placed.

“This, this.”
“This is…”

[Tools] Dismantling Tool Set (Medium) Rarity: Ep Quality: A
A set of tools for dismantling prey up to medium size.
All of the dismantling tools included are standardised to the medium size.
Can also be used as a housing item.
Woodworker: Primula
Blacksmith: Ertz

In short, it’s like a crafting kit that gives a bonus to manual dismantling. Then, it’s in the position of being something of an expansion kit. …I’m not sure there will be that many people wanting it, will there?

“And this? Take a look.”

[Tools] Dismantling Tool Set (Minimum ~ Maximum)
A set with all the necessary tools for dismantling.
All of the included tools are required for the kit to be used, excepting optional components, and the effect is matched to the one of lowest quality.
Can also be used as a housing item.

Blood draining tower (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of meat and skin.
Blood pool (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of blood.
Dismantling table (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of meat and other materials.
Water container (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the overall quality.
Dismantling knife A (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of skin and the work speed.
Dismantling knife B (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of meat and the work speed.
Dismantling knife C (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the quality of work speed and other materials.
Knife holder (Minimum ~ Maximum): Affects the overall quality and work speed.

Optional
Dismantling doll: Performs manual dismantling on behalf of the deployer, using their «Dismantling» skill. The quality of the doll affects the overall performance.
Material rack (Minimum ~ Maximum): A container for various dismantled materials.

“Dismantling doll?”
“That’s the part that would catch your interest, right? Do you know anything about it?”
“It’s a substitute for manual dismantling, so it must be an automatic doll. In that case, the doll side would probably require the third tier of «Doll Maker», which was «Doll Doctor». But I think Abbie is still in the second tier…”
“Muu….”
“I already have the doll core recipe on the «Alchemist» side.”
“Really!?”
“I can’t make it yet, though.”
“I see… If you could leave it to do manual dismantling, I think there would be a lot of demand.”
“#1 should also be able to do manual dismantling in my place, but it would take a while… By the way, how much is it?”
“I haven’t decided yet. But the material cost is quite high.”

I’m shown the recipe, but Primula-san is a woodworker, so she should only need about half of the total wood that it lists.
Medium size means that it will cover up to 4 metres, as of this update. The tools are going to be of an appropriate size, so it goes without saying that it will be quite large when deployed.
The required amount of the main material is 10 for minimum. 25 for small. 50 for medium. 75 for large. 100 for extra large. 150 for maximum.
And the grade of the required materials goes up, so the cost of materials alone certainly is considerable. Housing-level amounts of money will need to be spent on it.

“…The initial investment is painful, but is it possible to aim for the high quality materials?”
“From my point of view, I’d happily use high quality materials, but it depends on the doll and «Dismantling», doesn’t it?”
“If you raise «Dismantling», manual dismantling becomes more efficient, the work time decreases and the quality increases, right?”
“I think you could make a lot of money with it? Apparently there’s a hunter on the cooking board who does manual dismantling.”
“Doing it all himself…is it?”
“Right, right. It seems to result in high quality.”

So there are people playing as hunters who hunt in the east and do manual dismantling. People who go to the trouble of dismantling manually are quite rare, so there isn’t much information on it.
In any case, this item isn’t worth talking about without the dismantling doll. Most people don’t want to dismantle enemies themselves, and I don’t want to either. I could leave it to #1, but in the case of #1…would it be AI level?

“Don’t you want to buy it, Princess?”
“Hmm…if I used a worker to dismantle manually by proxy, maybe, but I take in most corpses for capacity…”
“Ahh….but nobody else is likely to buy it.”

Yeah, even if a worker could be used to dismantle by proxy, I think most necromancy users would prioritise capacity.
I mean, I don’t want to do manual dismantling, but did she think I might? I think that’s pretty different from working with undead.

“Ah, but you can use biological materials in alchemy…”
“Like blood? Salute-san mentioned that.”

That might be necessary for «Mixing». A classic example would be dragon’s blood.

“Do you feel like it’s difficult to go above medium at the moment?”
“The materials are impossible. But if you go along with the testing, I could give you the next size cheaper?”
“…Then it can’t be helped. If I can get #1 to dismantle for me, I’ll buy it.”
“Yes! Let’s go find a wolf to sacrifice.”

Following Primula-san, who is happily skipping along, I leave the Starting Town through the west gate, for the sake of testing.

“Oh, is it fine if it’s a rabbit?”
“Well, either will do. I’ll call #1 for the time being…as a worker. Summoned…and deploy the dismantling tool set. Isn’t this a terrorist attack on the surroundings?”
“It should be filtered by default for others, so it should be okay.”
“It looks like I can have him dismantle in my place.”

Speaking of which, the tamer’s wyvern was filtered when it was eating, wasn’t it. …The side doing the eating is fine, being AI, but I wonder if the player side is safe. Was that ever brought up?
…Okay, if it looks too nasty, I’ll use [Short Jump]. I can move to the very edge of my field of view, so it’s easy to get out of range.

I defeat a rabbit with a tentacle, then pass it to the worker waiting in front of the dismantling tools.

“So, No.1, please dismantle it manually.”
“Kakun”

….Safe!

“It doesn’t show you.”
“I don’t want it to show me.”

The rabbit is hung on the blood draining tower, letting it drain into the blood pool. While there, it is skinned, then moved to the dismantling table, where it gets turned into a game item-like block of meat.
I try to add another rabbit, but #1 is pointing at the blood pool with a “katakata”.

“It looks like the blood pool needs to be emptied between each one.”
“Even though it’s the same species.”
“…I don’t have any empty bottles with me.”
“Ah…neither do I.”
“Discarding it then.”

The worker cleans it with [Washing], then dismantles the second rabbit.
Primula-san is checking the BBS next to me.

“How many did you get?”
“One skin and two pieces of meat from each.”
“It increased. Does it not vary?”
“We’ll have to kill a few more to find out, but the quality is high at A.”
“Isn’t that pretty good?”

The problem is that the benefit of «Connoisseur», which increases the chance of drops and rare items of quality C and above, is questionable.
Well, it’s a matter of either saving the time and effort for manual dismantling, or betting on the probability of «Connoisseur»…maybe it’s best to just use whatever fits the situation.

I’ll add more rabbits and wolves to the pile to increase the amount of trials. Testing is all about numbers, Aniki.

“Skin and meat confirmed?”
“Yes. At least these two are confirmed. When the size is the same, the amount that can be harvested is the same, and the quality is A- or A.”

Rabbits give meat and skin. Wolves give meat, skin and claws.

“Is there any information from the hunters about what happens to rare items such as angus ribs?”
“It’s just like a game, and you still need to get the regular rare drop to get them.”
“Saddening.”
“It’s the usual game phenomenon of ‘picking up what you see in front of you’.”

There’s no choice but to let it convince you that you fought badly and made a tattered mess of the enemy. The ribs are torn to pieces. Yeah, the ribs. So much that there’s not even a piece of meat left.

“If they could be gotten through manual dismantling, it would be great.”
“It’s that manual dismantling that’s the problem. How much should I charge? There’s the amount I bought from Ertz, and the materials used…”

Primula-san is staring at her UI.
I think the item itself is very good. The item that is. The problem is the demand. Currently, the hurdle of manual dismantling is too high. The first step would be to find something that can do dismantling by proxy, other than undead workers and dismantling dolls.
I could aim to make a dismantling doll, but I’ve yet to find the materials for the doll core… It might be a good idea to switch to exploring the fields, rather than levelling in dungeons.

“Hmmm~! 400,000!”
“I wonder if that’s okay for this set.”
“I think it’s about right, considering the amount of materials required?”
“It can’t be helped, then. I’ll buy it.”
“Yay~”

If the quality of the materials increases, the quality of the product will go up too, and money should come in. It’s a necessary expense. I’ll have to concern myself more with whether to take corpses in or dismantle them. If they are drops like in the ruins dungeon, dismantling will be okay. The magic iron is delicious.

“You saved me, Princess!”
“The price is likely to go up once the dismantling dolls show up, so it’s fine.”
“It’s a lot of work to make, so it might go up even more.”

If you include the optional parts, it’s an integrated product of 10 pieces. If the demand increases, the price should rise too. Especially if it’s hard to make.

“Oops, it’s already this late.”
“Dinner!”
“Right. Then let’s leave it at this.”
“Thank you.”

It’s a weekday, so I’ll do some crafting to replenish my consumables after dinner.
But back to town and log out, for now.
