He looked towards the screen again and then picked up the phone. His eyes firm, he dialed a number and after ringing for a while; the call connected.
"Fu Yan, how are you? You remember to call us? You little kid, we know that you are busy but you should at least call us."
Fu Yan smiled when he heard this and replied.
"Sorry aunt Biyu, I was really busy and just got a little free. I was planning on visiting you soon."
Aunt Biyu, on the other end of the phone, smiled and said.
"It's ok. We know that you are busy. We have been hearing about your company a lot these days. You are progressing fast. So you don't need to worry about us old folks anymore, it's just that Xen misses you a lot. He has been asking when you will come visit again."
Fu Yan chuckled when he heard this.
"Are you sure if he is missing me or is he expecting some gifts?"
His aunt suddenly laughed and replied.
"Well, I don't know about that. I think it's better if you don't bring something for him. He has not been studying these days and slack off a lot. So as a punishment he should not receive any gifts."
Right after she said this, Fu Yan heard Xen's voice in the background.
"No Brother Fu, Mom is lying. I am studying hard these days and I even got an A on my math test this week."
Fu Yan smiled at hearing his cousin trying to protect himself.
"Ok little fella, I will bring you a good laptop this time, or would you like to go on a trip with me?"
After he said this, there was silence for a while then after some tossing sound, Xen's voice sounded in the phone.
"Trip? Where? When?"
Fu Yan smiled happily at hearing this. The grief that was hanging on his heart earlier lessened a lot.
"Well, we will talk about that after I see your test results myself. So you have to wait a day or two before we decide. How about it? Can you wait?"
Xen jumped with joy at hearing this, and he hurriedly gave a nod.
"I can. I am going to study now. I will get an A on tomorrow's test too."
Then he gave the phone back to his mom and ran towards his room.
"So when are you coming to us?" Fu Yan's aunt asked after taking the phone.
"I will come in just a day or two. The moment there is a flight available, I will take it. I wanted to ask you something." Fu Yan replied as his face turned a little serious.
Aunt Biyu noticed the seriousness in Fu Yan's voice and asked in a worried tone.
"Is everything alright?"
Fu Yan took a deep breath and asked in a light tone.
"Aunt, I want you to answer me truthfully. Was my parents' death really an accident?"
When he asked this, there was silence for a while, then aunt Biyu's soft voice sounded.
"Why ask that? We have already told you about that. Well, if you still want to ask more, why not come home first. We will talk face to face and answer any questions that you have."
Right after that, she hung up the phone.
Fu Yan was taken aback hearing what his aunt said at the end. From her tone, he was able to understand that she was hesitant to say anything about it by phone.
'Is someone monitoring them? Why would she say it that way?'
Many questions arose in his mind. Suddenly he turned towards the screen and ordered.
"Qing, immediately check my call activity with aunt Biyu and scan the whole network, both ours and aunt Biyu's. See if there is anyone monitoring any of us. Also gather data from the CCTV around my aunt's home and check for any kind of suspicious activity. Like are they being monitored by someone or is someone following them around?"
"Alright Big Brother. Scanning the network. It will take 9 minutes for the scan to complete."
Fu Yan patiently waited and after 9 minutes passed, Qing's voice sounded in the room again.
"Big Brother, I have scanned the network and found two ip's monitoring the traffic around aunt Biyu's house. One traced back to a government organization and the other one was traced back to a dummy server. They were able to detect my intrusion and immediately cut off any kind of leads. Also, from the CCTV of the last 30 days, I marked 10 suspicious individuals who monitored the people from your aunt Biyu's house. When I tried to gather data about them from the national database, I could not find any match. They are like ghosts with no digital footprint at all. "
Fu Yan listened to Qing's report with his eyes closed and after a while, he opened them and curiosity was overflowing from them.
'Who and why? What's the reason for doing this? If they wanted to kill any one of us like my parents, then they should have done it a long time ago, so why wait?'
Questions flooded his mind, but unable to find answers left him frustrated. After a while, Fu Yan stood up with a firm attitude and ordered.
"Qing, book the earliest flight to the city B. Also keep monitoring my aunt's house. If there is any problem, then inform me immediately."
Qing followed his orders and booked the earliest flight for city B under his name. It was leaving after 7 hours.
Seeing the ticket information, Fu Yan stood up and looked towards Nir.
"Nir, you will follow me. Don't do anything or show yourself until I ask you to. But if my life is in danger, then you may do as you see fit."
Nir put down the tablet in his hand and silently stood up and gave a slight nod.
Seeing this, Fu Yan smiled and walked out of the room. He went to the washroom to freshen up.
What Fu Yan did not know was that this simple conversation with his aunt had some people very disturbed.

Inside the office, a man was smoking Cuban cigar and the whole office was filled with the smell of tobacco. He was looking through the files that were placed in front of him when the office door suddenly opened.
Someone walked in and slowly closed the door.
The man looked up and saw that it was his secretary. She walked towards him and softly placed a file with a red cover in front of him and turned around to leave.
The man looked towards the color of the file and put down the cigar in a hurry and stopped whatever he was doing.
He quickly skimmed through the content of that file and after reading it, he picked up the phone on the table and dialed a number.
The moment the call connected, he immediately said.
"Target has somehow learned about the situation. You are to immediately secure his relatives. We will observe his reaction and after that if necessary secure him as well."
There was no sound on the other end of the phone and after the man with the cigar finished giving orders, the call disconnected.
Placing the phone back on the table, he looked towards the roof for a bit and then stood up. Picking his coat, he walked out of the office and hurried towards the parking lot.

Fu Yan took a taxi and reached the airport. Nir was beside him all the time and before leaving, he ordered Qing to transfer her core program to the backup server she had prepared and operate from there.
He also ordered her that if she were to encounter any kind of danger, she was allowed to take necessary measures to ensure her safety.
Passing through the security checkpoint, he boarded the plane and left for city B.
