They cautiously approached Fu Yan and then 6 people surrounded him. One of them brought out a sack that looked pretty torn up and tried to put it on Fu Yan's head.
The moment he was about to put it on Fu Yan's head, suddenly a blue arc hit that man's hands and gave him a shock. The perpetrator let out a shriek and the next moment Fu Yan opened his eyes.
Looking at the slaves surrounding him, Fu Yan kicked the nearest person near the knee. Immediately after that, he rotated that leg to kick the next standing person and stood up.
Seeing Fu Yan getting up, the other three slaves backed off and tried to run away but Fu Yan did not give them a chance and caught two of them from the back.
Giving them a good beating, Fu Yan dropped them and walked towards the last standing person whose back was now facing the wall. Feeling the wall behind him, he clung to the wall.
"Please, I am sorry. I won't do it again. Let me go." He tried to plead but Fu Yan seemed to not hear anything as he stepped on and then gave him a good blow on the stomach. Receiving the blow, the man gasped for air and then fell down.
After this Fu Yan gave everyone else a quick glance and walked towards where was sitting a moment ago. While he walked, wherever he passed, everyone cleared the way for him and tried to stay as far away from him as they could.
Even in this tight space, no one dared to come into the 2-meter radius of him. Fu Yan smiled seeing this and then closed his eyes again. Of course, before closing his eyes, he made sure to set the early warning system so that in case he is attacked again, he can have time to respond.
This warning system did not consume much energy and was only effective against normal people. If there were warriors here, this would be ineffective.
The reason he set this warning system earlier was that when he beat these slaves on the carriage earlier because they were squeezing him, he knew that they would retaliate.
Before closing his eyes, Fu Yan gave the progress bar a glance and then went to sleep again, trying to replenish as much energy as he could.
Fortunately and somewhat obviously, no one dared to mess with him again after he went to sleep the second time and Fu Yan had a good rest. Morning came and the door of the basement opened.
Two guards walked in and told them to go outside in an orderly manner. After getting out, they were met with 4 other guards who took them to a small spring behind the castle and ordered them to take a bath.
After they were done bathing, all of the slaves were given new clothes to wear and then taken back to the estate. Coming back to the castle, they met with the prince again who told them about their duties here.
While giving the speech, Prince Feyli kept a friendly but somewhat authoritative behavior with them. He was neither too overbearing nor too soft. His attitude gave a sense of closeness and many slaves cheered when he told them that if they performed well, he would allow them to marry and have children here.
During the whole speech, even though Fu Yan seemed to be listening, in fact all his focus was on the panel in front of him. He was checking the available resources and then the current status of the armor.
While checking the weapon system, it came to his attention that it was not completely destroyed and some weapons could still be used but they were disabled due to low armor energy.
If any of the remaining weapons were to be used, the energy levels would fall below 4% and the remaining energy won't be enough for him to do anything else.
In any case, there had to be reserve energy of 6% available all the time for emergency use and Fu Yan could not override that.
After dealing with all this, Fu Yan looked at the progress bar and it was at 23%. This surprised Fu Yan as the increase in progress was double the 4 days so he checked the logs for the reason.
'Discovered a new node that was more effective than before and could save a lot of time. So that's the reason for the sudden increase in the progress bar. This means that the signal restoration does not depend on time but nodes so if the time can decrease then it can increase too.'
Thinking of this, sweat appeared on Fu Yan's forehead. He was hoping that his guess about the time increasing is wrong as he did not want to stay on this dangerous planet for long.
While he was busy thinking about the future, Prince Feyli finished the speech and everyone started to clap. Only Fu Yan just stood there, waving and making weird gestures in the air.
Feyli gave all the slaves a glance, feeling proud, and then his gaze landed on Fu Yan who was making weird gestures. This sparked his interest and he paid special attention to Fu Yan.
When he looked closely, Feyli noticed that even though this particular person was looking ahead, his gaze seemed to be focused on something in the distance. Wondering what he was looking at, Feyli looked behind him but there was nothing.
Just when he was wondering what was going on, the slave turned to normal and looked around. He then gently shook his head and looked towards the sky as if longing for something.
If Feyli wanted to, he could just order the guards and take down this slave to teach him a lesson but he decided to not do so and observe this slave more.
So he turned around and gave orders to his steward to arrange Fu Yan in the house, somewhere he could see him and observe him easily.
Fu Yan, unaware of all this, just stood there nervously, wondering if the signal restoration would be delayed and he would need to stay on this planet longer than he anticipated.
Letting out a sigh and then looking towards the sky wondering when he could go back to the Library and live a comfortable life again, Fu Yan shook his head dejectedly and then looked around.
He gave the slaves around him a glance and then the people in front of him, wondering how long he will stay here or if his stay here will be comfortable or not.
After the prince was done with his speech, everyone was divided into different batches. Those with sturdy appearances were appointed to take care of farms and others were assigned different household tasks.
Women were assigned to work in the castle, doing daily chores of cleaning and handling water in the castle.
At first, Fu Yan thought that he would also be assigned to fields but to his surprise, he was told to work inside the house and was to take care of the prince's needs.
Even though it was a surprise to him and he wondered why he was given this duty despite his appearance, Fu Yan did not say anything, and under the guidance of the steward of the castle, Fu Yan learned his duties.
