Glen welcomed him and patted his shoulder as he accepted the luggage that Evan handed him.
The tiredness was written on Evan face, so he asked if he wanted to drink which Evan didn't refused.
While walking, he asked where is Daniella.
"she fell asleep in Danny's room " Evan nodded and sadness filled at his face after realizing that they're almost a family.
"I think Daniella will marry you if she had met you first" he let out a sad laugh that made Glen sighed.
He handed him a glass of whiskey and sit on the stool bar. The dim light clouded Evan's expression.
Glen turned for his friend and patted his shoulder.
"she met me first, but still, she married you." He said in a low voice then continued.
"your destined to be together Evan. So, don't give up" He explain to comfort him. Shaking his head slowly, Evan emit a long sigh and drink the whiskey in one shot.
"I will be gone to clean the body she left in Paris, will you look after her?" he asked in favour. Glen nodded at him and offer another glass which he refuses.
"thanks, but I have a flight in three hours, can I see her?" without responding Glen stood up and lead the way to Danny's room.
When they entered the room, she saw a little boy hugging his mother. They were both sleeping so tight, Evan walk closer to her and sit on the edge of the bed.
Brushing her hair, he bends down to place a kiss on her forehead and whisper his goodbye to her ear.
"I love you Daniella. I will see you in few days" when he didn't saw her moving, he stood up and leave the room followed by Glen.
Glen walk him out of his house , but before leaving Evan turned to him and sudden my chuckled.
"she wants to divorce me " he said and laugh ridiculously.
Glen was shock for a minute but able to recover. He gave him a half shrug while jamming his hand on his pocket.
"well I guess I should start on finding a way to steal her" he said while laughing, his laugh stops in the mid-air when he notices the dark aura around Evan.
"hey I am just kidding, like you said she's crazy about you so don't worry ok? " he said in assurance. Evan mood changes and give him a brotherly hug.
"please take care of her, I assigned more people to follow her in case the red dragon will find out about her" Glen nodded at him and said that he will also hire more people to guard them, but Evan said that Daniella might protest so he gave him an advice to just let them follow her in discreet.
After bidding their goodbyes, Evan leave the house while Glen decided to go back inside.
As he opened the door, he saw Daniella on the end of the stair looking so sad.
He quickly walk towards her and ask what is the problem.
Daniella immediately burst out of crying and hug him.
Her weeping filled his ear while he was caressing her back. When she felt that his clothes started to get wet, she moves away and say sorry.
"that's ok, but are you really divorcing him?" he asked. He tried to talk in a low voice and check her reaction.
"maybe, I don't know, I am confused "she said short, her heart still aches with everything that just happened. All the information still didn't set in her brain which made her realize that she's in denial.
"Glen I am scared, what if I am not a mother type person "she said in a shred voice and looks up to him.
The man chuckled and patted her head.
"Don't worry. You will be a great mom" he said in sincere voice. He offered her a drink which she didn't refuse. His expression went flat after realizing that Evan and Daniella have the same traits.
None of them refuses to drink.
They both went to the bar and talk about Danny. He explain to her why he decided to use her eggs to create Danny.
"it was hard to raised him alone. I didn't spend so much time with him unless it's dinner or breakfast. He mostly stay in his school." He said with a guilt voice. Daniella caress his back to comfort him.
"you're a great dad, Glen. And thank you so so so much for bringing Danny here. You... " before she could continue her voice started to crack after remembering her twin brother. Tears feel on her cheeks again and realized that she has been crying today more than she did last year.
"you.. you even honoured my brother by giving his name to our son" she started weeping when she saw how Glen face gleamed after she said 'our son'.
Glen started to hesitate after seeing her reaction. She looked like an angel in distress that he wanted to sace, with a guilt eating his heart away he decides to go and listen to his heart. He quickly lifted her chin and kissed her before she can read his movement.

Daniella felt his tongue forcing his way inside her mouth. She didn't know what to do. Her heart was refusing him but his mind started to think of him as her son's father.
While her heart and mind were fighting. Her body move by itself pushes him a way. With a guilt in her eyes she buried her face to his broad chest and starts sobbing.
She was crying not because he kissed her, but because she saw in his memory how long he waited for her. Her mind wanted to respond to his kiss but Evan's figures came to her mind. Realizing how much love he has for him, she bit her lips.
Her heart wanted to burst will all the feeling rushing through her body. She need to hide her face as she can't face the fact that the man wasted his life waiting for her.
When Glen lifted her chin again. She pressed her lips to stop herself from crying.
"I'm sorry for kissing you, I didn't mean to make things awkward between us" he said in a low voice and kiss her forehead.
"I'm sorry too for making you wait Glen, I hope you can find someone" Glen smile at her without giving his answer.
