37 Chapter 37: Noah: You Would Not Mind If Your Husband Dies, Right??
Noah stood up and with a wave of his hand, all the seals disappeared from the ground, they were already exhausted after one use. If Noah wanted to use them again on someone else he had to make a new set of seals, so there was no point keeping them.. Seeing that it was already close to night time Noah looked at Elysia and asked. " What will you do now? stay here or go back."
Elysia without even thinking about it answered back. There was a slight tone of pleading in her voice.
" I want to stay here, Can I?"
"Don't you have a world to look after? how will you do that by staying here."
Xin Yan narrowed her eyes at her childish behavior while interjecting. She did not want her to stay after seeing how close she was acting to Noah. she felt this woman was more than what she was showing on the surface,
" What do you mean a world to look after? I am the world itself, I can do everything I need to do from anywhere. Besides, I am currently a small part of my consciousness, something like a clone."
"Tch"
Elysia's reply caused Xin Yan to click her tongue in visible annoyance. Elsia did not mind her attitude instead looked at Noah for answers. She would have stayed here forcefully and no one would be able to stop her but she did not want to make Noah hate her.
Noah also looked at Elysia with a warm smile, he was surprised that she was easily ready to tell Xin Yan all that. "Of course, you're more than welcome to stay here! Just don't let others see you "
"Well I'm going to sleep and Xin Yan you are coming too."
Xin Yan was surprised at his sudden commanding tone, despite the throbbing of her heart which she actively ignored she turned to him with a questioning look. Her voice containing a hint of coldness stopped Noah in his tracks.
" Why would I sleep with you?"
" There's no way in hell I will let you sleep alone after what you went through, now let's go!"
Xin Yan's gaze remained focused on her half-removed accessory as she hesitated, her emotions evident in her clenched fists. *Inhale* The memories of their past flashed through her eyes and soon her eyes became determined as she started speaking.
Her betrayed and painful voice echoed in the room. "He is no longer my husband. He Left us when we needed him the most for what. Power?! That was just an excuse!! I used a spying array on his wedding ring to watch what he was d-doing..."
Her voice was a little crooked in anger as she added. "H-HE was roaming with some bitch from some trashy clan using her resources to gain power. He is feeding the woman with delusions and leeching off of her... "
Xin Yan's voice sounded empty as she uttered those words, her eyes glistening with a mixture of anger, pain, and betrayal. Silence hung in the room as Xin Yan silently wept in pain.
Noah did not say anything and just listened attentively...
His expression turned grave as he realized the weight of her situation.
"He even made that woman pregnant, while promising her that he will make her his main wife. He had the gall to say that he would make me- ME! his concubine and our son would take care of her son!!!"
*crack* cracks appeared on the mirrors as her anger flared. Her eyes turned bloodshot, her nails dug into her palms drawing some blood from it.
Xin Yan was barely controlling herself as she thought back to the memories of her husband. "He abandoned our family for his ambitions and desires, leaving me and our son to fend for ourselves....*sob* *sob*"
*Gasp*
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room became so heavy that Xin Yan , who was in the middle of sobbing, struggled to even breathe... The heavy aura came from the direction from the bed!
She turned to see the blank expression on Noah's face, his eyes now hollow and devoid of any signs of emotion. She didn't know why, but her heart raced and her cheeks flushed as she saw the look on his face. She turned away and wiped her tears but suddenly Noah's calm voice made its way to her ears stopping her.
"Hmm~, Xin Yan, you wouldn't mind if he dies, right?"
