Lying on the big bed without image, Yang Jing pressed the precious watch on her chest with both hands, and it took a long time to appease her heart that almost jumped out of her throat.

Yang Jing didn't even dare to look at the watch carefully, for fear that her eyes could not be pulled out.

From the first sight of this watch, Yang Jing was convinced that it was definitely a Patek Philippe platinum world time watch, and it was made by master Lewis cotier.

Without him, just look at the unique shape of the second hand.

One notable feature of master Lewis cotier's works is that the unusual shape of the pointer, especially the small hour hand, is completely handmade, and the pointers in each watch are slightly different. This became the "signature" of master Louis cotier, which was different from other clocks.

This characteristic of master Lewis cotier is also unique in the world!

This precious world time watch has a case diameter of 39.5mm and a black strap. The most important thing is that whenever Yang Jing sees the unique black-and-white 24-hour dial, his heart will involuntarily accelerate.

This is a Patek Philippe platinum world time watch!

Even before he found the watch, people all over the world thought there was only one watch.

Even master Lewis cotier did not say that he had made the second watch.

But in fact, the three letterheads that appeared with this watch proved that master Lewis cotier had indeed made a watch of the same type, and also opened a little-known past of master cotier.

In the watch industry, when it comes to master Lewis cotier, everyone will say that he is a watchmaking genius beyond his time!

As soon as I mention the watchmaker, I have to say world time clocks.

In the early 19th century, the rudiment of world time was still vague. With the deepening of the second industrial revolution and the invention of trains, ships and cars, human beings have greater and greater ability to break through space constraints, making it relatively easy to travel between two cities far away. At the same time, with the invention of the telegraph, real-time communication around the world has become possible, which requires the world to unify the setting of time.

Especially one day in that era, trains from two cities at different times collided because the time was not well coordinated. To this end, shengford Fleming, a railway engineer employed by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company at that time, was determined to change the status quo.

In 1876, shengford Fleming suggested that the world time should be divided into 24, and the world should take every 15 degrees of longitude as the same time zone, with the exception of 24 of the 26 English letters of "J and Y". At first, people didn't realize the importance of world time, because after all, only traders or workers like him need world time. As he spared no effort to tell the truth, the concept of world time was finally recognized at the international meridian conference in 1884.

The world's first dual time zone pocket watch born later was called "Captain's watches", which was mainly used by train drivers.

As the creators of time, watchmakers have been committed to exploring the secret of displaying time in multiple regions and even the whole world since the promotion of the concept of world time.

World time was first used in pocket watches, but when it comes to the ancestor of modern world time watches, it is the world time zone mechanism invented by master cotier in 1935.

The world time watch is a kind of time zone watch, which can display the time of more than 24 cities. The world time watch is the most complex time zone watch and is a well deserved Almighty king in the time zone watch. By displaying 24 different time zones in the world, adjusting the major cities pointed to on the dial scale to the local time, holding the world time table, it seems to grasp the pulse of the world, and 24 beating hearts indicate every corner of time.

On September 28, 1894, master cotier was born in kalughi, Geneva, a small place belonging to Sardinia under the Bourbon Dynasty.

Cotier's father, Emmanuel, was already a famous watchmaker at that time and owned a small workshop in San Victor, Switzerland.

When cotier grew up, he studied at the Geneva watch Institute. Because he was good at repairing complex clocks, he was recommended by the famous watch historian Alfred chapis to Hans wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, and entrusted to repair and maintain his precious antique watches.

It turned out that this professional study had a profound impact on cotier and benefited him in the following years, especially during the great depression. After his study, he successively served as technical guidance in several local factories. After the economic crisis in the late 1920s, many factories were forced to reduce production, while the manufacturers he served directly closed down. At this time, cotier decided to carry out his personal career under domestic and foreign troubles.

At that time, in ruvoje, a small town near karrouge, Switzerland, cotier's wife opened a stationery store. Cotier worked in the studio behind the stationery store for 13 years. Here, he began to make clocks, pocket watches, watches and hand-made movement molds. Most of his watches were special jump watches and rare automatic watches at that time. In 1931, it was in this workshop that cotier made the first world time zone pocket watch for a famous watch and jewelry store called beszanger.

After continuous design and production, cotier gradually became an expert in the world time zone watch. He designed works for many watch factories in Geneva, and these works have the same characteristics.

His best and most stable customer is Patek Philippe, which entrusted him with the design and manufacture of a large number of world time zone watches. Jiang shidanton, Agassi and Rolex also commissioned him to design the world time zone table. Cotier soon became a famous person in the industry.

In 1935, master cotier invented the world time zone watch structure (heures universelles, Hu). This ingenious structure seems fatalistic to complete the world 24 time zones previously summarized by shengford Fleming. Hu organization accommodates 24 time zones in the same dial.

In 1937, after two years of careful research and development, cotier finally produced the world's first world time table ref.515 for Patek Philippe. He is equipped with a separation mechanism inside the movement, that is, when the user presses the adjustment button, the hour hand and the outer ring of the city enter one grid in the opposite direction, but at this time, the minute hand is always connected with the movement. This makes the movement keep accurate travel time all the time.

In the same year, he made the world's smallest time zone watch for Patek Philippe. From 1937 to 1938, he made a three calendar complex world time zone clock for Patek Philippe. This complex clock is now displayed in the Beyer Museum in Zurich.

In 1940, at the request of Patek Philippe, cotier manufactured a watch with two functions of world time zone and pulse meter for a customer of the company, a doctor in Paris.

In 1946, in order to thank the allies for their contribution to the just ended World War II, the citizens of Geneva designed by wengl and cotier made four golden world time zone watches decorated with enamel for Agassi. These four watches were given to several major military leaders at that time: Churchill, President Truman, Stalin and general de Gaulle. Cotier also made a world time zone clock for President Roosevelt's widow.

By that time, cotier had become a famous watchmaker, and he made the Patek Philippe platinum world time men's watch ref-1415-hu, which once set the world record for watch auction, in 1939.

Yang Jing as like as two peas in the world, the Patek Philippe wrist watch Ref-1415-HU was made by Cottier in 1940, and the customer was the doctor in Paris.

All this is on the three pieces of stationery wrapped with the table
