Chapter 346: Animagus Part I

1 month had passed by, they had been preparing to become an animagus diligently. All of them held a mandrake leaf in their mounts while chanting the spell like some holy chant.
They were all pretty excited about this. All were interested in seeing what animal they would become. Of course, Dumbledore knew about this, but he knew that Magnus would not listen to him so he only said that he wanted to have an oversight on them to make sure they did things right and didn't end up becoming a half-human hybrid.
"Fine, professor. Tomorrow, the weather report said that there will be a storm, so we're preparing to do it then. Do you want to come with us? We will be going to the Forbidden Forest, the Centaurs there are my friends, they will provide us security as well as medical help if needed." Magnus told Dumbledore of his plan.
Dumbledore quickly nodded, "Of course I will come. If I don't, what if something bad happens? In the end, the blame will be on Hogwarts."
"Hehe, trust me, professor, I will be fine, most likely. See you later then, oh, Fawkes will be returning soon, he now has another son." Magnus revealed and left.
Dumbledore instinctively looked at the perch of Fawkes, "That boy is going too fast, he has no self-control."

The next day, it was cloudy outside. It was also Saturday, and thankfully classes didn't go on for too long. The Gryffindor four and Magnus with his friends arrived at Hagrid's hut.
"Blimey, no, Magnus. Yeh have gone mad? Shouldn'ta be knowin' the dangers? Yeh'll get punished. An'... MERLIN! What if ye die? No no no... can't have that." Hagrid was having a panic attack as soon as he heard Magnus' plan.
"Come on, Hagrid, Professor Dumbledore will oversee it too," Magnus revealed.
"Eh... Should've said that before. Got meself worrin' for nothin'" Immediately Hagrid changed 180 degrees. It was crazy how much faith he had in Dumbeldore.
"Boys, get in position. We shall start the thing when the thunder strikes. Warm yourselves up until then." Magnus ordered the rest.
Meanwhile, Ragnar and Severus started preparing for the potion. They had asked Hagrid to use his fireplace, and the gentle giant went as far as giving them a few ingredients that he picked from the jungle. However, most of their work was already completed, currently, Ragnar was just making a potion that would ease their minds after transformation.
For the whole month, they had prepared well. It was really arduous work. First, they needed to put the leaf in their mouth, AT ALL TIMES. Then, put it in a small crystal phial. Put the saliva-filled leaf inside it along with a hair of their own. Then, they needed to add a silver teaspoon of dew from a place that neither sunlight nor human feet have touched.
Thankfully, Gringotts provided it, they had all the ingredients for everything. And since they are humans, they are perfect to cultivate these things. Then they had to add the chrysalis of a Death's-head Hawk Moth to the crystal phial as well. Then put the mixture in a quiet, dark place and leave it alone until the next electrical storm.
They had already put the mixture in a quiet place. It was so hard to make this potion, now they know why most wizards didn't try it.
During this whole time, they had also chanted the spell while placing the wand on the chest. The instructions suggest doing it until you feel there is a second heartbeat inside the body.
*BOOM*
"Finally, it strikes. Let's go." Magnus cheered.
Just then, Dumbledore also arrived and followed them behind. The phials were hidden inside a cave in the forest. It was under the protection of Centaurs.
As soon as they took out 7 phials, they noticed there was some kind of a mouthful of blood-red potion inside it. Ragnar cheered, "AHA... We did it, the potion is perfect."
Next, they asked to keep their wands with Dumbledore, and also anything else they had on their body. Magnus didn't bring much stuff as he knew this would happen.
Other than Remus, they all stood up in a line and held the phial in one hand and the wand in the other. "Everyone, place the tip of the wand at your heart and say the spell, then immediately drink it," Magnus instructed them.
"Be careful and say the spell clearly," Dumbledore warned them. He felt truly helpless here.
Magnus nodded and looked to his left and then right. "Emma, Severus and Ragnar, be careful." Then he turned to the other four, "Just don't die."
They scowled at that but this was not the time to argue with him. They stood in a line and put the wands on their chest. Emma, who was standing on Magnus' side, held his hand in slight fear to get reassurance.
He gave her a tight squeeze of the hand and nodded towards her, "Don't worry, I've checked your incantation. You are doing good."
She nodded and spoke the spell at the same time as others.
"Amato Animo Animato Animagus! *Gulp*"
"Argh... BITCH! It feels like burning." James cursed.
"It's normal. You feel an intense double heartbeat now. Do not fear, face it with strength and pride. Good luck." Ragnar gave them advice.

Dumbledore POV,
Magnus is like my Grandson, one of the last descendants of the Dumbledore family. It fills my heart with pride and great joy that he is so strong and wise.
But, for how long can I turn a blind eye to all his dangerous endeavours? Yet, he has proven himself by putting Voldemort in his place.
And... He won't listen to me. I warned them, "Magnus, be careful. Everyone else, if you feel any complications, tell me."
I saw everything with my eyes. They started to change in shape. Sirius and James started to gain fur on their bodies, while Peter started to grow smaller also having fur.
Meanwhile, Severus looked like he was becoming some kind of a bird, his face started to change, his nose and mouth turned to take the shape of a beak. His stature got smaller in size.
Meanwhile, Emma was also turning into a bird, but a bigger one, possibly an eagle.
I am mostly interested in Magnus and Ragnar, the two strongest wizards of current batches. Ragnar may not even be average in charms, but he is certainly strong.
This time, I was shocked. Ragnar started to grow bigger and his body turned blue. I had no idea what he was going to become, there were no such animals in the wild.
Meanwhile, the most shocking one was Magnus, as his body just kept on shrinking more and more, then once it was just a foot tall, a white shell started to form around him.
I saw Magnus panicking slightly, as even he had no idea what was happening. Then before I knew it, Magnus was engulfed in a quaffle(football) sized egg.
I ran towards him, but stopped, meddling could do more harm than good. ~WHAT IS HAPPENING? Even for snake Animagus, they don't turn into an egg first.~
In the end, I saw the final forms. Peter was a fat grey rat, James was a shining red stag, Sirius was a shaggy black dog. On the other hand, Severus was a big, adult arm-sized pitch-black raven and Emma was a beautiful, tall and large golden eagle, with a wingspan of 2.5 metres.
However, I was yet to know about the other two, Ragnar was still changing and Magnus was stuck in an egg.

Magnus looked around himself. He had no idea what had happened and where the heck he was. ~What is going on? Why is everything so dark, why can't I move? What am I?~
He wondered if he had turned into some kind of a blind animal. However, when he felt he could twitch his body, he felt his skin touching a wall. He tried to kick it. "ANYBODY THERE? LET ME OUT! OLD MAN, HELP!"
Poor thing, no noise came out of it. Soon, he felt his body getting tired and he stopped moving. ~Man, what kind of weak ass animal have I become? Ragnar is going to laugh at me.~
