*Snoring*

*KNOCK KNOCK* "Rag, get up, you said you will take me shopping today," Grace knocked on Ragnar's door.

Grunting, Ragnar woke up, throwing away Chad from his face and opening the door, "Yes mum, just give me a minute,"

"WHAT IS THIS? WHY? You have so many tattoos on your body," Grace took a step back in shock.

Ragnar was just in his pants, revealing his tattooed muscular upper body, he sighed, "I told you I will get more tattoos. They make me magically and physically powerful. You wanna see how amazing it is? Look,"

Ragnar held his door's handle which was made of metal. He then twisted it like noodles, entangling it in itself. Grace seemed interested and checked, it was really metal, "Amazing, can I also have these tattoos?"

"Nope, only wizards can have them, that's how they work since we absorbed magic from our surroundings. I will give a few to Aurelia, Max, Clem and Athena later. This is going to be our family's secret for generations to come, a way to make our wizard descendants stronger than the rest." He revealed.

"This is amazing, dear. But... please don't tattoo your face too, it will make you unmarriageable," she requested.

But Ragnar didn't give a straight reply, "Just a second, I will be back."

...

He took her to the Mall, they didn't hide their identity this time, Secret Service was there around them. People would scream their names and greet them, they'd just wave hands.

Holding Ragnar's arm, she secretly pointed to various girls, "Oh look, she's so pretty. Ah, that one has red hair, and that blonde, what's your preference?"

"My preference is a woman who can swing a sword, shoot an arrow, read, write and think like a well-educated princess and has the courage that would put men to shame... and she must love my awesome beard and hair," He rambled his demands.

This made Grace sigh in defeat, "God, how will I find such a girl for you? It's impossible, and what's with your fetish about beard and long hair?"

Ragnar stopped, "Come on, mum. Look at me, don't you feel I look handsome and more manly?"

He was taller than her, she looked up and down and nodded, "To be honest, yes, your rugged look suits you. But no woman in this modern world will like that. Especially a prince, this isn't mediaeval times,"

Ragnar got sad, ~True, one woman I enjoyed being with was Viking from old time. Poor Freya,~

"Forget it, mum. If there is a woman like that, I'll get her. What do you want to buy today?" He led her to shops.

"Cute clothes for your siblings and my lovely little granddaughter." Grace chirped.

...

The year 1985 went by as Magnus tried to change the world and untie it. This time his focus was on religion, a very sensitive topic. He could not outright ban it as that would be against basic human rights. Rather, what he wanted to do was make it progressive so that they all can co-exist with other religions.

Christianity was not a problem as the different branches were already pretty tolerant of each other. One Christian does not ask the other what branch he follows, they just pray to Christ and god together. Hinduism was easy to solve with his absolute power. After talking with a lot of people from Nepal and India, he found that all problems start and end with caste. There were no different sects, but rather different castes, one above another. Hence, the simple way was to delete this part.

In short, all caste and its mentions were removed, all cast based uplifting schemes for people were turned into schemes based on income and poverty. Then there was Buddhism, Magnus didn't have much problem with them, all the violent elements were in Myanmar and some in Sri Lanka, they were easily dealt with. Myanmar's dictatorship was removed by Magnus just before uniting Korea. These religions were rather pushed to be more acceptable to other religions.

Then in the end came Islam. King Faisal helped him in this aspect. Uniting this religion was extremely hard because it was spread far and wide and each region had a different interpretation of it. Hence, his method was to find a guy from humble beginnings, make up a religious scholar, fund him and promote him in all ways possible to grow in fame and preach his unified and peaceful version of religion.

The first to flock to him were the rich, open-minded ones, Saudi Arabia accepted the scholar soon after. This then started a chain reaction. Magnus however made sure the man was under his control as it'd be a disaster if he revolted after gaining so much following.

In the end, all Magnus wanted was to prepare humanity for space. In space, he didn't want any religious divide as that would make a mess of unimaginable proportions in the long term. Just imagine planets with each having a different religion and religious wars between planets. It was a scary thought.

...

Camelot,

"Big brother, how do I look?" Clementia asked Magnus, wearing her Hogwarts robes.

He patted her head, "You look as pretty and cute as always. I'm afraid I will have to warn the boys to stay away."

She giggled and fiddled with her wand. Clementia and Maximus soon appeared too, showing off their dresses. They had truly grown up into fine kids.

But, they were lucky to be going to school at this age, as he had brought some changes to school rules. According to it, on the last weekend of each month, kids were allowed to go home through the school portkeys. Of course, many kids came from an abusive environment, they were not sent back and instead they would get movie nights. The choice was totally up to the kids if they wanted to go or not.

After all, 11 is a very small age and kids need their parents for guidance sometimes, or often they feel lonely. Hogwarts' large castles were not very cosy in all honesty, Magnus had missed his family too in the starting days.

This was also a reason why Clementia was not against going to school anymore.

"You got your letters. The only remaining part is a pet. Why didn't you get one?" Magnus asked them.

"I will take Summer with me," Maximus said.

"I will take Chad with me," Aurelia added.

Their eyes turned to Clementia then, she had a pet too, it seemed, "I will take Fawkes' son. He's a big boy now and wants to play in Hogwarts,"

This was not a surprise to Magnus as he had sent Clementia to Camelot a long time ago because of her social anxiety. She had befriended every animal on the island.

"Good, then you all need to head to your rooms and revise the first year spells. Remember, you all have me to teach you, this means no matter what problem you face, just ask me and I will help you be best at it," He advised them. It'd be a shame if Magnus' siblings don't do good.

"Oh, I have a problem with potions, big brother, can you help me?" Aurelia asked suddenly.

(⊙_⊙;)

"Haha, of course, dear. But Ragnar is the world's best potioneer, he can help you better than me. So if it's potions, go to him. Ah, look. I need to go to the office, see you later." He kissed all their foreheads and left, sweating at the same time.

...

Something major was happening in USSR.

Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian SSR.

A safety test on the steam turbine of an RBMK-type nuclear reactor was to be conducted that day. It was a simple task, not involving any major expertise. But, one mistake happened, however, the test was to be conducted quickly and unluckily was scheduled just after the shift change. The men that came to the shift had no idea about the test being conducted.

Comrade Anatoly Dyatlov, the deputy chief engineer of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, was drilling his staff and ordering them around in his usual narcissistic and egoistic manner. He ignored all warnings from his staff.

*BOOM*

The blast occurred all of a sudden, ripping out a segment of the building and exploding the glass windows in miles around it. The fiery cloud of the explosion made a spectacular show, going so high it lit up the city nearby.

But as beautiful as it looked from afar, it was equally deadly inside. Comrade Dyatlov knew what happened but refused to believe it.

"THE CORE EXPLODED, I LOOKED RIGHT INTO IT!"

Even when these words were spoken by a man with melting skin, he refused to believe. A disaster of unimaginable scale had occurred and the night was only the start.

But the bosses in Moscow had no idea they had dug a grave, now the Dragon will come to feast on their misery, for their misfortune was someone's fortune.
