Athena took a seat on the train in the same cabin as Harry, Draco and Hermione. The three were great friends at this point and were among the best in Slytherin house. It was 1995, they were just getting into their 5th year. Their time in the school had been peaceful.
Ever since Magnus graduated, no major scandals involving a dark lord or secret chambers have come to light. Dumbledore and Severus knew better than not to mess around with school safety too.
"Are you excited about going to school?" Hermione asked Athena, holding her hand.
Athena was adored by all her family and friends, she was also cute and that made her even more popular.
She nodded, "Yes, I wanna make lots of friends. Will there be more little kids like me? And is there lemon ice cream on the menu? Dad said that the food at Hogwarts is very good."
"Well, even if there is no lemon ice cream, I'm sure now there will be. Yes, there will be lots of kids your age. You can make as many friends as you want. But first, you will be sorted into a house." Hermione gave her a crash course.
Eventually, Athena found herself sitting under the sorting hat. She was amazed by it, "Woah, a talking hat, so cool."
"C-Cool? Me? A Pendragon said that... *sniff* I'm not crying... not at all." Sorting Hat started making weird noises. Athena felt weirded out but didn't say it.
"Which house do you want to go to, child? You are great for all of them," the hat asked, sounding much more loving than normal.
"Umm... dad said Slytherin is his house. I want to go there," she requested.
"Of course, if a Pendragon does not go to Slytherin, are they even a pendragon? Have fun. SLYTHERIN!" The hat announced.
The hall erupted into loud claps and howling. She was Magnus' daughter after all and her existence was seen as nothing less than that of a goddess. She was going to be the Queen of the most powerful nation someday.

"UNCLE SEV! LET'S PLAY!" Athena suddenly barged into Severus' office the next day.
Poor Severus was relaxing alone, drinking some tea and reading a book. He sighed, "This is the third time you entered my office in a single day. How are you finding all my passwords,"
She giggled, jumping onto his table and sitting down, munching on some biscuits. "Hehe, if I told you then it wouldn't be a trick. Come on, Uncle, let's play like back home. You be the thief and I be the auror."
"You know that I am the headmaster of this school? At home I was your uncle, here I am your teacher." Severus reminded her.
"OH! Come on, Uncle. You are not the headmaster. I've been calling you uncle since I started speaking. I'm not gonna call you headmaster now. Oh, look at your hair, they are so messy, can I comb them?" She asked him out of nowhere. Athena was too hyperactive for her own sake.
~Great, I can get back to reading if she does this,~ Severus thought and agreed. "Fine, you do that, but silently."
"YES! I will be a good girl." She cheered and got to work. While Severus did his own stuff, she hummed some songs and combed Severus' long hair.

Duck's head appeared outside the Headmaster's office balcony. He looked inside with just one eye, as he was too big. "Whatcha doing, potato?"
"Making Uncle Sev pretty. You wait outside, I will comb your neck hair too." She responded.
Ragnar had given the nickname to Athena, it was potato. Magnus has also allowed Athena to take Duck with her, after all, the school had enough space. Plus, Duck was already public knowledge at this point and he was extremely friendly and intelligent. He was now working as the ambassador to all Dragons. He raised awareness.
"Umm hm hmm... FINISHED! Aw... you look so good, uncle. Let me take a photo and send it to dad and aunt Narcissa." She swiped out her mobile phone and clicked some photos. Internet was a big thing in the UK already and the phone with a camera was an experimental model made by FutureTek.
*KACHAK!*
"Hehe, dad says he is going to frame the picture. Oh, aunt Narcissa said you look cute." She immediately started receiving return messages.

All of a sudden the door was opened without Severus' permission. "Dad, I wrote this new experiment repo... WHAT THE!"
It was Draco. He saw the annoyed face of his father, his hair was tied in small ponytails with green ribbons. The problem was, there were more than just two.
"Oh, Draco, look. Isn't he looking pretty?" She asked his opinion.
"Dad, do you know what she did?" Draco spoke to his father. Severus was so busy and lost in reading that he had not noticed anything.
He looked left and right, there was Duck's face out of the balcony, then there was his son. He quickly stood up, "W-What? What did she do?"
Severus walked towards the mirror and looked. His face fell in an instant and he stared at Athena, "I heard Narcissa's name a while ago, was that you?"
Athena wobbled her head and showed the phone screen, "Yup yup, aunt says you look cute."
"YOU SENT IT TO HER?!" Severus' snatched the phone and looked at the message. "Here goes my self-respect,"
Draco laughed heartily, "Haha, dad, it's okay. You still have more respect than Uncle Ragnar. And to be honest, I think mom truly loves you goofing around like this,"
Athena silently nodded, feeling good at the praise of her hard work. "Maybe I should become a hairdresser after school,"
"I think your dad would smash his head on the wall if you did that," Draco japed.

"Dobby be good cameraman, catch people in 4k, said mister Bobby. " Dobby had also come, he held a giant movie camera on his shoulder, it had a sticker of 4K plastered on it.

Sadly for Severus, Athena messing around was not just a one-time incident. She was known around the school as the prank queen and it was just her first year.
Sometimes there would be farting sounds whenever someone speaks in the Great Hall. Sometimes girls will grow a moustache for an hour. Sometimes teachers will find their books misplaced with comics.
But Severus was always her first choice for playing around. She would often go to his office or try to find him. Soon enough, Athena's birthday came and she asked for something.
"Uncle, I want to eat a giant fruit-icecream in your office, on your chair." She requested.
It was pretty harmless in his eyes, but that was until he saw the ice cream that Athena had ordered. On the afternoon of her birthday, before the evening party, he found her in his office, holding a spoon. She handed him one too, "Uncle, eat, there is too much for me,"
"Child, this is too much for both of us. This thing is as tall as Dobby. We can't finish this," he told her.
But she silently enjoyed each bite. "So tasty!"
Just like that, his days in Hogwarts became much more interesting than he originally anticipated. Athena was enjoying her time to the fullest, she was trained by Magnus and knew all spells. Magnus and Ragnar had both worked together to forge a wand for her too.
He never had anything to scold her for. She was even good at potions, unlike Magnus. But of course, she was not as strong as Magnus when he was this age.
However, Severus didn't mind her shenanigans. She was a great change in the school, making it feel much brighter and warmer than it was. Her giggles and pranks were a breath of freshness in the boring day to day lives of kids.

It turns out, he was wrong. The number of magical kids living in closed magical communities or some backward tribes was more than magical kids in the developed or civilised world. Hence, now that the school became much more accessible, these closed communities and tribes started to send their kids.
The total number of kids currently studying in all Hogwarts was 30,000. Each year, about 5000 - 6000 students would graduate and find jobs in Magnus' mega-corporations. The top students would always end up going to FutureTek Space, as that was the most exciting and well-paying job.
