Smila, who had known Ella for a long time, became troubled and repeatedly looked at her, then at Vylun. She would’ve called the Duchess if they were inside the mansion, but that wasn’t an option, so she couldn’t decide what to do. She just stood there with a troubled look on her face.

Ella, who was glaring at Vylun, noticed Smila’s frustration and hid her anger. Showing her anger and glaring at her family’s knight wasn’t like Luciella. She was the type to hide her fury inside and irritate her opponent with a calm expression, but Ranhee’s emotions were revealed this time like before.

‘This isn’t good. I can’t act on my emotions. Get yourself together, Ella!’

Ella clicked her tongue and gathered herself, made a beautiful smile again, and looked at Vylun. “At first, yes. But if you heard me say that, I’m sure you’ve seen it too. They claimed I could be in danger in this very estate my family owns. Should I consider this an insult to myself or disloyalty to my family?”

In response to Ella’s question, Vylun turned and glared at his knights, who were shivering as they lined up. As she had pointed out in public, their mistakes could no longer be covered up. He tapped annoyingly at the sword hung by his waist and immediately bowed before Ella could stop him. As far as he knew, this was the fastest way to solve this problem.

“I apologize, milady. This is my fault for not being able to discipline them, so the apology must be made by me. If my apology doesn’t satisfy you, you can fire them all. Do you wish to do that?”

He was sure Ella wouldn’t ignore his apology. But that was because he didn’t know her much.

‘You think you can end this with an apology? Oh, no, you won’t.’

Even the Crown Prince didn’t get away with an apology, so there was no way it was going to work now. His apology had no sincerity, unlike Cladis’s. Ella felt even more offended by the insincere apology.

“Oh, I’m sorry, but that didn’t even satisfy me a bit. I can feel from your apology that you’re not sorry at all. Are you not? You just bowed your head to easily solve the issue,” retorted Ella.

“Then I have no choice but to fire them all.”

It was a threat. Ella pushed her rage back down from coming up after his threat and pressed her forehead with her hand. Then she made a long sigh, ‘Ah, crap.’

Yet again, it was Ranhee’s habit instead of Ella’s. She was shocked that Ranhee’s responses were suddenly happening here and there. This irritation caused by her astonishment was immediately directed to Vylun, who created this situation.

“Yeah, then there’s no choice. We must fire them all. I’ll talk to my father about everything that happened here. I’ll tell him how they dared to defy me and that they insulted our family. I’ll inform him.”

“Milady!” shouted Vylun. Even when looking into his eyes, which most knights were too frightened to do, Ella stood her ground and spoke what she wanted to say. Vylun had to cut her off. She smiled because he looked furious. She appeared calm as if she had never been angry and looked at him.

“What is it?” asked Ella.

“What do you want?” questioned Vylun.

“I don’t understand what you’re talking about,” replied Ella with an innocent look that said she truly didn’t know.

Then, she blinked her eyes very slowly, which irritated Vylun so much that he took a big step forward, walked up to her, and looked down at her threateningly. Many ladies were terrified and fled because of his actions. But even now, that didn’t work on Ella at all.

‘My brothers have tried that many times already.’

Ella made a very cute smile and looked up at him. Vylun then had to step back because of the confident look on her face. The eyes of the knights became large as they watched them.

“Hmph. What will ease your anger, milady? I will do as you wish,” said Vylun.
