Chapter 28: The Weight of Unresolved Issues

After giving the last flight attendant autographs, Julia could finally breathe a sigh of relief and wait for the plane to take off. "The Parent Trap" was considered a finished shooting. A day ago, Maggie received news that the "Captain Hawk" production had temporarily halted filming for a week due to funding issues. She didn't need to rush over there anymore.

Perhaps she could take a little break after going home, rest for a few days, and go out with some friends.

Thinking about this, she suddenly remembered something and took out a small card from her purse. On it was a beautiful English countryside scenery, and it had a Shakespearean sonnet written in an elegant and beautiful font. She remembered that when she first received it, the ink was still wet. She couldn't help but softly recite it now:

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer's lease hath all too short a date,

Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often is his gold complexion dimmed;

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed;

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;

Nor shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade,

When in eternal lines to time thou growest:

   So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

   So long lives this, and this gives life to thee."

Such an interesting person, she thought. Most of the men she had encountered were different from him—well-mannered yet unique, courteous but not rigid, and he was also very attentive. From the fact that the poem on the card was written in American English. Reflecting on the past five days, even though they didn't spend much time together each day, he had left a deep impression on her. It was surprising, really.

Lost in her thoughts, she heard a voice saying, "Want some advice?"

Julia was startled, turned her head, and there was Angela, sitting next to her just like last time, staring out the window since they boarded the plane, but now she had turned her head and was looking straight at Julia without blinking.

"What advice?" Julia asked curiously.

The little girl shrugged and said, "Cherish life and stay away from Frank."

"Oh, dear, how can you say that about your uncle?" Julia couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"But I'm telling the truth. My dear uncle is a notorious playboy," Angela said, shaking her head.

"Angie, that's not a topic you should be discussing," her chatty sister said with astonishment, after a moment of silence.

"Because I'm only 11?" Angela pouted.

Julia thought for a moment and said somewhat helplessly, "Well, we're just ordinary friends. We haven't even exchanged phone numbers."

"That's called playing hard to get. All physical relationships start from being ordinary friends," the little girl murmured.

"What are you saying?" Julia didn't hear it.

"Oh, I mean if you insist, just forget what I said," Angela said with a mischievous smile. She then hugged her big sister and said, "Okay, I won't bother you anymore. I'll take a nap for a while."

After saying that, Angela adjusted her seat and lay down on her side, ready to take a short rest. Julia shrugged her shoulders, sensing that the little girl had something on her mind. However, since Angela didn't want to talk about it, Julia didn't push her. Just like last time, she asked a flight attendant for a thin blanket to cover Angela and took out a book to read.

Although Angela was lying on her side with her eyes closed, she wasn't actually trying to sleep. As Julia had guessed, she had something on her mind. It was a unique matter, something that an ordinary little girl wouldn't have—why did her heart beat faster when she was affectionate with Jessica and Kate, but not when she was affectionate with her Big Sister Did that mean she didn't "love" Big Sister?

In fact, that was precisely the case. Angela didn't "love" Julia in that desire-driven way. More precisely, she didn't have romantic feelings towards her. The little girl was quite aware of her own inner world. If she had any doubts a few days ago, after the filming of "The Parent Trap", she could now calmly analyze herself.

She came to two conclusions: first, she was going through puberty, with her hormones starting to increase; second, she identified as a girl with a male soul, and that would forever remain unchanged, even reincarnation could not change that.

Regarding the first point, it goes without saying that girls develop earlier than boys, it's common knowledge. As for the second point, it was already a fact. It didn't seem worth mentioning, but the combination of these two points was troublesome.

It is widely known that as children enter puberty, the changes in their secondary sexual characteristics gradually become evident. This marks the onset of sexual maturity, which naturally introduces complexities in interactions between boys and girls. Such changes are considered normal. However, for a girl with a male soul, it is undoubtedly a disaster.

When she was still a child, no matter how mature she was psychologically, there was no concept of sex in her mind, so there was nothing significant about being teased by Jessica or Kate. At most, it was just girls playing around. But now, it was different. You should know that the little girl was a pure-hearted otaku who would only watch adult films and satisfy herself. If someone like her hugged and cuddled with her sexual fantasy object, who knows what could happen!

Yes, that's right. Jessica or Kate were once the sexual fantasy objects of "him." Her chatty big Sister, on the other hand, was merely someone she admired, which was why blushing and a racing heart only occurred with Jessica. Besides, Jessica was still an adorable loli. You should know that deep down in every otaku's soul, there's a tiny bit of a loli complex.

To be honest, sometimes you couldn't help but marvel at the immense strength of the human spirit. Even if a female body is stimulated by female hormones, as long as the soul is male, there is still an intense longing for certain things.

"It's such an annoying problem!" Angela shouted in her mind. I'm a girl now! A girl!! But even she felt it wasn't very convincing—just the thought of marrying a man in the future, having intimate relations with him, getting married, and having children made her feel like she was about to pass out.

There will be a solution, there must be a solution! Before she fell asleep, this sentence echoed repeatedly in her head.

……

Life seemed to have returned to its original track - going to school, coming back from school, and spending weekends playing with Jessica. As for that issue, Angela had put it out of her mind. Since she couldn't solve it, she decided not to dwell on it for now. After all, as an "adult," it was simple to restrain herself with reason. However, the closeness she once shared with Jessica diminished.

After a few days, this routine came to an end. It was mid-June, and summer vacation was about to begin. Normally, at this time, Angela would spend about two or three weeks at a girls' summer camp. It wasn't particularly exciting, but she would go because Jessica was going too. However, this time she decided not to go. You see, during summer camp, everything from eating to living was done together. She could handle being in the bathhouse with a bunch of naked Loli girls, but if Jessica were there, who knows what might happen. So, she decided to stay at home for this break.

"My dear, is something bothering you again?" her mom sat down beside her.

The little girl stopped playing the piano and sighed quietly to herself before casually saying, "It's nothing, Mommy."

"Alright, Chris, your worries are written all over your face," Elena embraced the little girl and gently rubbed her head.

Angela fell into silence, her thoughts consumed by Jessica's presence. The memory of their visit to the amusement park three days prior lingered in her mind. It was during that outing that Jessica had approached her with genuine concern, asking, "Angie, what's happening? It feels like there's something that's come between us out of nowhere."

But how could the little girl answer? She couldn't comprehend why Jessica was so sensitive. All she could do was reassure her, saying that it was nothing, maybe she was just tired from filming the movie for the past month.

Clearly, Jessica didn't fully believe her. So, until they returned home, she looked at Angela with eyes filled with what could be described as sorrow, causing the little girl's heart to race uncontrollably.

"Mommy, can I have my own secret?" the little girl softly asked, snuggling in her mother's arms.

"Of course you can, but if you want to talk about it, you can always tell us," Elena gently patted her back, then after a moment, she said, "My dear, how about we go on a trip?"

Angela looked at her mother with confusion. They had gone on trips before, either to visit grandparents in New York or to visit her maternal grandparents in London. Even when they went to other places, it was usually with other relatives. As for the family yacht, it was mainly used for her father's parties.

As if understanding her daughter's thoughts, Elena blinked and said, "Just the three of us, like a regular family."

"Really?!" the little girl's eyes widened, with a hint of doubt in her expression as she asked, "Will Daddy have time?"

"Of course, I promise," her mother replied with a confident smile.
