Regarding the matter of Warner, it has now been resolved since Angie's safe return home. Elena's primary concern was for the well-being of her beloved daughter. Now that their daughter is back safe and sound, she believes it's in everyone's best interest for Warner to maintain some distance.

Since her mother has stopped mentioning the topic, Angela feels relieved that she doesn't have to discuss it any further. Once her father returns home, the entire family gathers for dinner, marking the first time they've come together since Angela's trip to New York to film a movie. The atmosphere is filled with joy and harmony, making it a special occasion.

Following the meal, the young girl exchanges a few words with her parents before retreating to her room. She's apprehensive that her mother might bring up the movie again, and after spending over a month filming, she has completely cut off contact with anyone besides her parents. Now, there are numerous tasks and obligations demanding her attention.

First and foremost, Angela must address the pile of letters that have accumulated, some of which have been there for half a month, including Kate's letters. However, when she attempts to compose a response, she finds herself struggling to put her thoughts into words.

Eventually, she lets out a sigh and writes something seemingly random. Despite her efforts, she worries whether she might come across as a nagging mother in the letter, though technically her points are valid.

Feeling helpless, Angela proceeds to go through the rest of the letters. One of them is from Aunt Rowling, expressing gratitude to Angela and mentioning the assistance she received from various foundations supporting single mothers.

It appears that Angela's uncle did fulfill Aunt Rowling's request, which now means she must invite her talkative Sister to her birthday party. Angela can't help but feel disappointed by her uncle's seemingly heartless action

The next letter is from Edward. He seems patient, sending two letters every week. After some contemplation, she decides to invite him to her birthday party, considering him to be a good test subject for this social experiment.

As she pauses from writing, Angela nibbles on her pen, lost in thought. The approaching day signals her return to school, where she'll reunite with Jessica. What should she say to her friend?

During the month of filming, Jessica called home several times to ask for her contact information, but Angela had instructed her parents not to tell her about it so they never got in touch.

Jessica, of course, wouldn't be upset about the lack of communication, but the years of shared experiences together still evoked a tinge of melancholy in Angela. Even though she's determined to confront her true self, there are aspects she finds challenging to fully comprehend...

Feeling a bit bored, Angela opens another letter, only to discover it's from Lindsay. It appears that just as she finishes dealing with one romantic-filled thought, another promptly arrives. She playfully imagines it will be at least ten more years before Lindsay openly accepts her sexuality.

As Angela reflects on their encounter from last Halloween, she notices that the memory has begun to fade, yet she can still faintly recall her thoughts from that time. What stands out to her is how certain constraints have influenced her perspective on specific aspects of her sexuality, leading to a notable shift in her understanding.

As Angela opens yet another letter, she is taken aback to find that it's from Lindsay once more. Intriguingly, she discovers yet another one, with less than four days between the dates, also from Lindsay. This succession of letters leaves Angela perplexed, prompting her to wonder if something significant has happened to prompt such frequent correspondence from Lindsay.

In the midst of her contemplation, a knock on the door catches her attention, and Angela looks up to find Aunt Jennifer standing there.

"Chris, your friend is here," Jennifer informs Angela.

"A friend? Now?" Angela glances at the clock, it's just past 8 PM. She wonders who would come over so late.

"Alright, I'll be right there," Angela nods and quickly gathers the scattered papers and letters on her desk before heading downstairs. However, as she enters the living room and catches sight of the girl conversing politely with her mother she nearly loses her balance. The sight of that stunning red hair can belong to no one other than Lindsay Lohan?!

"Oh my goodness, I was just contemplating whether I should read her letter!" Angela exclaimed, feeling somewhat incredulous as she leaned on the stair railing and looked down. It seemed like something was pounding on her forehead.

"Hey, dear, come down quickly," her mother called out as she coincidentally looked up and spotted Angela.

Initially wanting to linger for a moment and ponder why Lindsay was there, Angela eventually shrugged off her thoughts and made her way downstairs, aware of the red-haired girl's intense gaze fixed upon her from the couch.

After exchanging a smile with her mother, Angela turned her attention to Lindsay and greeted, "Hi, Lindsay, how are you?"

At first, Angela contemplated asking Lindsay directly about the reason for her visit, but as she caught a glimpse of fleeting fear and helplessness in Lindsay's eyes, she decided against pressing further. Internally sighing, she chose to wait for Lindsay to speak and turned back to her mother putting on a playful look, "Can we go to my room, Mom?"

"Of course, sweetheart," Elena, without any suspicion, was pleased with Lindsay's well-behaved demeanor leaving a positive impression on her. She readily agreed to Angela's request.

Angela shrugged and took Lindsay's hand leading her upstairs, "Okay, let's go upstairs and talk."

Once the bedroom door closed, Angela could sense Lindsay visibly relaxing beside her piquing her curiosity further. Why did Lindsay choose this particular hour to come to her house?

However, Lindsay swiftly masked her emotions and looked around the room with curiosity, complimenting with a smile, "Your room is really beautiful, Angela."

Then, her eyes fell on the nearby piano, and she asked in surprise, "You can play the piano too, which means you're great at music, right?"

"Alright, Lindsay, why did you come to my house alone? Where are your parents?" Angela was determined not to let her divert the topic.

Lindsay hesitated, shifting her eyes, and cautiously responded, "Well, I've never been to your house before, and I wanted to... come and see you."

"That excuse isn't very convincing, Lindsay. I don't think any kid would come to someone else's house alone at night, and no parents would allow their child to be so reckless," Angela straightforwardly exposed her lie, "What's your home phone number?"

Lindsay stood up, her little face filled with anxiety, and pleaded, "Please, Angela, don't do this."

"I have no choice. If you won't tell me, I'll have my mom call someone to take you back," Angela crossed her arms. It wasn't that she disliked Lindsay, at least not the Lindsay who would become the nightclub queen in the future. However, as she had mentioned earlier, a 7 or 8-year-old girl wandering alone outside with her parents unaware was not a safe situation.

"Please, Angela, don't do this. Let me stay here for one night, just one night. I won't cause any trouble for you," Lindsay suddenly pleaded, tears streaming down her cheeks, "I don't want to go back, not at all!"

The sudden outpouring of tears left Angela feeling somewhat overwhelmed. After a moment of hesitation, she hurriedly found some tissues to wipe Lindsay's cheeks. As she approached Lindsay, the girl unexpectedly hugged her tightly and sobbed in her arms.

Angela smiled wryly, feeling a sense of irony. Just two days ago, she was the one seeking solace in someone else's embrace and now she found herself comforting another person in her own embrace.

Was this all somehow orchestrated? Shaking her head to dispel such thoughts, she gently patted Lindsay's back, offering reassurances like "It's okay" and "Don't cry."

After about five minutes, Lindsay finally stopped sobbing pulling away from Angela's embrace. Her tear-streaked face looked like a mess with tears everywhere.

"I'm sorry... for getting your clothes dirty. I... I'll leave now. Sorry for bothering you," the girl said softly, wiping her face with her sleeve, appearing ready to go. However, Angela quickly held her back, not allowing her to leave and firmly pressed her back into the chair. "Tell me, what happened?"

Before Lindsay could speak, Angela emphasized with a stronger tone, "Tell me, what happened?"

Perhaps due to Angela's commanding presence, Lindsay trembled slightly, lowered her head and nervously bit her lip. "My... my parents had a big fight. They were shouting at each other, and I couldn't stop them. Dad drank a lot of alcohol, just like before, yelling and almost hitting Mom. I hate him. I hate who he is now. I remember Dad used to..."

Lindsay murmured, seemingly lost in her memories, and Angela's heart churned. In her past life, besides the movie《Freaky Friday,》the most memorable thing about Lindsay was the single called《Confessions of a Broken Heart.》In that song she poured all her grievances towards her father and her yearning for his love. It vividly depicted how deeply her family life had affected her.

As Angela thought about how Lindsay's father had later made headlines in the American newspaper's society section for assaulting a janitor due to alcoholism, ultimately leading to his imprisonment and her parent's divorce, she could only imagine the extent of the damage he had caused. It was evident that this family situation had significantly shaped Lindsay's subsequent struggles with alcohol and drugs, eventually leading to her becoming the nightclub queen. All these elements seemed somehow intertwined.

Angela couldn't help but tenderly hug Lindsay, whispering, "My dear, don't be sad. If you want you can stay here. I'll talk to my mom about it."

"Really... really?" Lindsay said softly, her eyes filled with hope.

"Of course, my mom will agree. As long as your parents don't come looking for you," Angela smiled, gently caressing Lindsay's cheek and smiling to cheer her up.

"They won't. I'm the one handling all the mail at home. Every time I receive your letters, I take them to my room right away," Lindsay hurriedly assured, finally showing a smile.

"That settles it then. I'll have Aunt Jennifer arrange a room for you later," Angela said as she was about to leave.

However, Lindsay immediately called her back, "Ang... Angela!"

She hesitated for a moment and then asked, "Can I... Can I sleep with you tonight?"
