"Alright, I'll tell you," the young man sighed, supporting the middle-aged man.

"They bribed me."

"Hah, you finally get it," Al Pacino said with his unfocused eyes, slightly mocking.

The young man ignored his tone and continued, "Mr. Principal said they could get me...direct admission to Harvard."

"As long as you inform on someone?" Al Pacino's mocking tone remained.

"Yes," the young man replied.

"What a tragedy. So, does Charlie Simms want to hitch a ride to Harvard?" Al Pacino raised his heavily made-up eyebrows, maintaining the mocking tone and a touch of arrogance.

"No, I'm not that kind of informant!" Charlie shook his head firmly.

"An informant? Is this a witch-hunt?" Al Pacino sneered, then patted Charlie's shoulder. "Kid, you're in trouble in this world. Before that happens, let me buy you a drink."

"Cut!" The director called out at this moment. "Very good, Scene 44, Take 23 done!"

For about a second, the set became lively again. Al Pacino let out a long breath, rotating his eyes that had been wide open all the time. "Martin, you called it just in time. If you could maintain that for a few more seconds, maybe they'd stay that way forever."

His remark made everyone around laugh, but the director Martin Brest didn't join in. After whispering with a staff member, he stood up with a strange expression and said, "Hey Al, your daughter is here to see you."

"My daughter?" Al rubbed his forehead, looking at Martin with surprise. "Don't joke, Martin. I just talked to Julie this morning. Even if she could fly over like Superman, she doesn't have a pilot's license, does she?"

"I don't have one either, but it doesn't stop me from having a licensed pilot fly me here," a voice came from the right, making Al pause.

He turned around in pleasant surprise. "Angie?"

The little girl stood among the crew with her arms crossed, deliberately showing an indignant look. "Dad, you're so mean. Are you planning to abandon me and never want me again?!"

"A serious accusation indeed. Alright, I'm scared, dear, so I surrender, how about that?" Al laughed heartily and went forward to hug Angela.

"Spend your summer vacation in New York?" Al smiled and asked, "How did you know I'm filming here?"

"Of course, I knew. When you were doing post-production at Warner Bros last time, you personally told me about accepting a new film called《Scent of a Woman.》I asked Mr. Sparrow to check, found out it was being filmed in New York and then I called Mr. Hawk to confirm," Angela said with a smile, shrugging her shoulders.

"I have to say, you're very observant in some ways," Al laughed. He introduced Angela to the others, Chris O'Donnell and Martin Brest. Angela knew these people, though time had passed, she could recall with a little prompting. After all, she had watched《Scent of a Woman》several times before.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Angela Mason, Al's daughter in the movie he filmed earlier this year—unfortunately, it hasn't been released yet or you'd know how irresponsible of a father he is," Angela said after Al finished the introductions, straightening her chest and introducing herself with a touch of innocence that quickly made everyone like her.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Mason. I've been hearing a lot from Al about the genius Hollywood girl lately. Besides his daughter and wife, you are the woman he mentions the most. So, in that regard, he's relatively responsible," Martin Brest joked, pushing his black-framed glasses up his nose which made the people around chuckle.

"Miss Mason, did you come here alone?" the handsome young actor, Chris O'Donnell, interjected.

"Of course not. I came with my sister and a friend," Angela said, turning around to look for Kate and Natalie. However, to her surprise, they hadn't followed her. She was taken aback and apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, it seems I left them behind. Let me go and find them."

"Darling, how many times have you abandoned people around you like this?" Al called out from behind, laughing loudly.

Angela made a face and continued running ahead. After passing two crew members, she spotted Kate standing at the roadside, having a conversation with two middle-aged men. The men seemed to be explaining and persuading, Kate raised her hand as if she wanted to refuse but hesitated. Natalie stood nearby, wearing a humorous expression with her hands behind her back.

"What's going on? What happened?" Angela hurriedly ran over, looking wary at the two middle-aged men. Before Kate and Natalie could speak, one of the men, a Caucasian with black hair, around forty years old and wearing a camera around his neck, suddenly asked, "Are you Miss Angela Mason?"

Angela was stunned for a moment, then looked at him with curiosity. Apart from the camera, he had a work badge, so he should be a crew member. Perhaps he was the photographer. Now that she mentioned it, he did look somewhat familiar.

"May I ask who you are?" she asked tentatively.

"I'm Adam Raymond, a photographer for both《The Parent Trap》and《Hide and Seek》film crews," the middle-aged man smiled and replied.

Angela suddenly realized and felt a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry, Mr. Raymond. I couldn't recognize you. Are you also the photographer for the《Scent of a Woman》film crew?"

"Yes," Adam nodded, then introduced the other middle-aged man beside him, "This is Mr. Barry Stanley, one of the assistant directors."

"Hello, Mr. Stanley," Angela greeted politely with a nod.

"Hello, Miss Mason," Barry Stanley responded in a perfunctory manner, his eyes still on Kate wanting to continue their previous conversation.

This made Angela frown slightly, but fortunately, Adam discreetly pulled Barry aside before he could react, and Adam asked first, "By the way, Miss Mason, is this Miss Kate Beckinsale your sister?"

Angela glanced at Kate and then nodded, saying, "Yes, Kate is my sister from England."

"I see. Today, we have a scene in a restaurant. The originally scheduled actress had a small accident and can't perform. We need to find a replacement actress as soon as possible, or we'll suffer significant losses today. Mr. Stanley thinks Miss Kate Beckinsale has a suitable temperament. If possible, we would like to invite her for a screen test," Adam said in one breath.

Angela's eyes instantly lit up, and she guessed what it was right away – the restaurant scene! An actress! Besides the iconic tango, what other scene could there be? She came to New York with the idea of witnessing the filming of that classic scene.

Ever since Kate came to her house, Angela had been contemplating how to convince Kate to stay. Now, such an opportunity appeared. Could it be fate?

Angela couldn't remember if anything similar happened during the filming of 《Scent of a Woman.》She also didn't know who played that role, but at this moment, she knew she had to seize this chance. Otherwise she would regret it!

"OK, no problem. Kate often performs in stage plays in England and has appeared in several British films, albeit in minor roles. But she has rich experience and I believe she'll do great!" Angela said excitedly with enthusiasm.

"Hey, Angela, I haven't agreed to anything yet," Kate protested beside her.

However, Angela completely ignored her objections and grabbed her hand, saying, "Come on, Kate, let's see the differences between British and American film productions. Trying something new is always good. I'll talk to Mr. Brest and Dad Al. As long as you perform well, there won't be any issues."

She then winked at Natalie, saying, "Nat, grab Kate. If she's unwilling to go, we'll drag her to meet the director!"

Natalie displayed her mischievous side and promptly joined Angela in grabbing Kate's other hand, pulling her along towards the director. Kate followed behind, feeling amused and helpless, while the two men were left staring at each other in surprise.

"That little girl, who is she?" After a moment, Barry Stanley asked. He had been quite impatient with Angela, preoccupied with the matter of finding an actress.

Just as he was trying to persuade someone he deemed suitable, this little girl popped out of nowhere, asking all sorts of questions. This annoyed him quite a bit.

If Adam hadn't discreetly held him back and started speaking first, Barry probably wouldn't have paid any attention to the little girl.

"Don't you know, Barry? She's Angela Mason, the genius girl from Hollywood. You can ask Mr. Al Pacino about the details. Miss Mason played his daughter in a film at the beginning of this year, so that's why she calls him 'dad.' She's not his real daughter," Adam said with a smile, patting Barry's shoulder.

"Alright, let's go over there. It's okay. Miss Mason is a lovely girl and you'll like her."
