Noscent Plane, Several weeks later.
After the hordes of the barbarians were crushed by the forces of the Chthonian Empire of the Baator, we started slowly attacking other factions and devouring them one by one. Forces of the Sacred Millenial Empire were still sitting on the fence, as the Emperor of the Sacred Millenial Empire, Charles the Great, was still deciding how to attack our forces that cursed even someone as powerful as Barbarian King and his hordes of savages.
I either spent these weeks in leisure with my wife Hela and Vena, as Hela dumped all of her work on poor Sigurn, so he could enjoy the debauchery every second we were together.
Currently, I was heading to the outskirts of the Noscrent Plane, a desolate place in the distant west, where the Barbarian King was said to undergo something like a spiritual journey and ascended as a powerhouse, chosen by a greater power to lead his species.
What a bunch of dragon shit.
Executioners found one of the vaults of the Tier 12 Powerhouse that sealed and created the Noscnet Plane.
Probably the Barbarian King found it and became what he was. The same could be said about Charles the Great, though the vault discovered by the Emperor of the was of a higher grade than the one found by the Barbarian King.
I soon arrived at the mountain range, where the vault left by the Tier 12 Powerhouse was located; fortunately, it didn't take a long time to locate the vault itself, as the Executioners had already left it marked for me, even though they couldn't enter the vault due to powerful barrier blocking them.
As I entered the cave where the vault of the Tier 12 Powerhouse was located, I was soon stopped by the invisible barrier that was blocking my advance.
"Interesting... this thing is not blocking people mainly because of their power, but on their origin. It is sensing that we are all foreigners to the Noscnent, so it is blocking the path. Unfortunately, nobody has recharged the ward stones for countless Eras, and their power of them is not what they were in the long-forgotten past."
I said to myself while examining the barrier.
Soon enough, I spread my right hand and cast the Decomposition Magic Rule, which split into several beams and hit five spots across the entire barrier, as it started crumbling down like a broken glassy sky.
After the barrier crumbled down, I entered the cave.
After walking through endless corridors for more than an hour, I finally arrived at the humongous stone gate that was several tens of meters tall.
I opened the gate easily with a single push, and what I saw really shocked me to the core.
Enormous underground space, filled with countless treasures, energy crystals of all grades, Divine Crystals were predominant, as there were tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of them here, from which countless were Monarch Grade, Holy Grade, and Empyrean Grade.
Apart from that, there were countless Law Comprehension Crystals, natural treasured, and even more things. Weapons, Armor, some things from other Universes, cultivation manuals, books, god... this was too much.
After I walked around and observed how stacked it was, far eclipsing even the wealth of factions in the Astral Boundary, I stopped in my tracks as I realized what it was.
"These vaults are the fail-safe for recultivation reincarnation."
The entire Noscent Plane was a fail-safe for the Tier 12 Powerhouse, which wanted to become a Great Old One and failed. He probably prepared the plane in case he failed, so he could reincarnate here and build his power here once more.
With all of these treasures, it would be no problem for him to reach Tier 11 within a pretty short time, and with the sacrifice of all natives of Noscent, he could effortlessly ascend as Exarch / Eternal.
But, as it appears, he was not reincarnated as his soul was probably obliterated from existence and everything that he prepared was for naught, that is, for him.
I would benefit greatly from that.
And this was just one of those vaults... wealth of mighty experts was really something else.
I was really fortunate that he didn't leave here some traps, curses, or any form of protection, but fortunately, he didn't. Probably the arrogance from creating the sealed plane, but even if he did leave here something, it would probably have already turned to the dust from the passage of time.
Even that barrier which was going for countless Eras, was going from the last force.
I walked through the hordes of treasures until I stopped and looked at the one particular thing that caught my sight.
"Heart of the Void Beast."
I muttered as I looked at the perfectly preserved heart; as I felt that my concept of Void inside me was a bit stirring.
As it was telling me what to do.
And I knew what to do.
Follow my path.
I took the heart in my right hand; it was small, probably from some younger void beast.
It was warm and still beating.
I didn't hesitate, as I started heating it.
In three bites, I ate the entire Heart of the Void Beast.
After several seconds, I felt it.
