"Not right now... Hela is leading the charge, and I need to be on vigil in case they take out their trump card, if they have any though, but rather be safe than sorry."

I said to Venelana, who just pouted cutely but didn't really refute my words.

Even though it was clear that the Sacred Millenial Empire didn't obtain much from the Inheritance Vault of the pinnacle Tier 12 powerhouse, there was still some possibility they could have obtained some artifact or weapon capable of killing someone as strong as Hela.

Thus, because of this, I chose to observe over the battle carefully. With my Tier 11 strength, I could clearly see everything that is happening in the even Imperial Palace, as the wards and barriers couldn't stop my piercing gaze.

After half an hour, the gates of the Imperial District were breached, and now fighting had been moved to the heart of the Imperial Captial of the Sacred Millenial Empire, as their soldiers were being killed like flies.

Observing Hela as she charged and slaughtered her way straight to the Imperial Palace, where she, with a single slash of her Necrosword, created a breach in the protective barrier over the Imperial Palace, which was soon enough swarmed by Khaos Brigade under the leadership of Vali, as they entered the Imperial Palace together with Hela.

In the Imperial Palace, they met with resistance from the Imperial Mage Corps and Imperial Knights and some of the more powerful remaining experts of the Sacred Millenial Empire that were still alive.

As expected, while Imperialis Militarum was dealing with the standard soldiery out in the Imperial District and Khaos Brigade was entertaining the so-called Elite Forces of the Sacred Millenial Empire, Hela, together with a few of her closest lieutenants, had unhindered progress across the Imperial Palace.

All resistance they encountered was either from some high-ranking nobles that were hiding in the depths of the Imperial Place or some other important high-ranking individuals in the Imperial Governmental body, but they were all swiftly killed.

Quickly, they have found their way to the Throne Room.

When Hela entered the Throne Room, only two people were there.

One of them was a feeble-looking Old Man with long white hair and a beard, wearing a plain blue robe and holding a staff.

The second one sat on the throne, wearing ceremonial armor and a crown upon his head.

Hela scanned both of them from tip to toe, afterward which she conjured two Necroswrods, and without any wasting time, she threw both of her Necroswords towards the Old Man whom she recognized as the Grand Tutor of the Empire and teacher of the Emperor, Charles the Great.

Even though the Grand Tutor was weaker than the Emperor in combat prowess, Hela has significantly learned from me that very skilled magic users are a pain in the ass to deal with. Even me, when I was weaker, I could deal with enemies several times stronger than me, with traps, specifically designed spells, or just annoying them to death... literally.

As skilled as he was, the Grand Tutor instantly cast an instant-teleportation spell and teleported away, dodging the Necroswords. At the same time, Hela looked behind her, conjuring the other Necroswords and throwing them at a specific second.

In a split of a second, Grand Tutor reappeared, several meters behind Hela, and instantly as he reappeared, two Necroswrods pierced through his body. On through his heart and one through his head, killing him instantly.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance as the Grand Tutor was killed, but we needed only one of them, and Emperor was more valuable. Detaining someone like Grand Tutor, who was a Transcendental Level magician, was a hard thing to do in a small amount of time.

This trick Hela learned from me.

When someone was casting any kind of short-ranged teleportation spells, it disturbed space itself. I developed a spell that allowed its caster to read the disturbance line in the space, easily predicting where the enemy would reappear with his teleportation.

This spell was commonly learned by most of the close-quarter combatants, as it was one of the fastest ways to deal with magicians. Another thing was that almost all skilled magic users could cast teleportation spells, which was very hard to deal with for warriors.

With this spell, they could fight the teleportation and space-hopping of mages.

As Hela turned around, she narrowly dodged the incoming sword slash from Charles the Great, who attacked her with his great sword; while he was strong and experienced, no doubt about that, Hela was vastly superior to him in every aspect.

Hela swiftly counterattacked with another pair of conjured Necroswords as she continued to exchange blows with Charles the Great.

It was apparent that Charles the Great was a strong and skilled warrior, but Hela was stronger and more skilled.

After more than ten minutes, Hela was becoming more and more enraged that she still didn't manage to kill Charles the Great, and her attacks were becoming more and more ferocious and powerful.

In her anger, she used most of her power to launch a powerful kick at Charles the Great, which he blocked with his great sword at the price of it cracking down. Hela used the split of second of advantage as she pierced his right leg with her Necrosword.

As he knelt down, she instantly delivered powerful strict with the blunt edge of the Necrosword at his head, kicking him out. That marked the end of the first and last Emperor of the sole human nation that ever existed and would exist on the Noscent Plane, Charles the Great.

"And that it is..."

I muttered as I watched everything from my Adjudicator-Class Juggernaut Capital Ship. It was like watching a good show on the TV, and I enjoyed it greatly, though not as much as Hela, who was wreaking havoc down there, killing everything that was moving, but whatever.
