They heard the door creak as it opened. Shen Yin looked up and saw Lian Jing standing at the entrance with a cold expression. He had changed into the slippers that the nanny had brought him and the butler had taken his coat and hung it on the rack.
Shen Nian pounced on him excitedly in the same way that he welcomed his mother home. He threw himself into Lian Jing’s arms and said with a smile, “Daddy, Nian Nian wants to play chess.”
Lian Jing kissed his son’s chubby cheek and asked gently, “Where’s your mother?”
“Mommy is lazing around on the sofa!” Shen Nian got down from Lian Jing’s body. He turned around and pointed at the person who was hidden behind the sofa. He ran over happily and grabbed Shen Yin’s hand. “Mommy, you won’t be bored now that Daddy is back!”
“Who said I’m bored? I’m not bored at all.” Shen Yin, who had been bored for the entire afternoon, denied it.
Even though they were separated by the sofa, Lian Jing could hear the dullness in her voice. He bit back his laughter and walked to the sofa. However, he was caught off guard when he saw her bare legs resting gently on the armrest of the sofa.
His pupils suddenly constricted, and he began to emit a dangerous aura. Lian Jing stared straight at the woman on the sofa who was exceptionally seductive, but did not know it. He tried his best to stay calm and said, “Put your legs down. If you want to lie down, go back to your room and lie down.”
Shen Yin glared at him indignantly. “So what if I’m lying here?”
Lian Jing sneered and did not argue with her. He bent down and carried her up the stairs without saying a word.
He did not want to quibble with her. He wanted to tell her with his own body exactly why it was his business!
In the room, Lian Jing threw her onto the bed and leaned over. He touched the bag beside him and narrowed his eyes in satisfaction. “Have you seen what’s inside?”
“What?” Shen Yin felt the world spin around her, and then a heavy object pressed down on her, so that she was unable to breathe.
She pushed Lian Jing away with great effort before turning to look at the bag he was talking about. “What’s inside?”
“Open it and take a look.” Lian Jing got up and his greedy gaze swept across her body. He wanted to tear her apart and eat her immediately, but he suppressed his desire so he could enjoy a greater delicacy later.
Shen Yin’s was no longer restrained, but she felt increasingly nervous for no reason. Following his expectant gaze, she suddenly had the urge to throw the bag out of the window.
She was sure that whatever was inside would not make her happy!
However, Lian Jing was too impatient to brook any delay on her part. He reached out and held her fingers, bringing her hand to touch the bag.
The moment the clothes inside were revealed, Shen Yin’s face suddenly turned red, and every part of her body trembled.
She looked at it in disbelief. It could barely be considered a dress as it was only made of light gauze. The skirt was shorter than her index finger!
She did not want to wear such a thing!
However, Lian Jing did not intend to let her off. He leaned close to her ear and gently bit her earlobe. His magnetic voice seemed to have a bewitching charm that kept tempting her to submit to him. “Be good. Put it on for me to see. You’ll look better in it.”
“No!” Shen Yin reached out to push him away, not letting him breathe into her ear.
Only she knew how much Lian Jing’s deep and magnetic voice mesmerized her. Every time she heard it, she would fall for it. If she let him continue, he would break down her psychological defenses.
