The shop assistant had reached out on impulse, and now his hand froze in midair. He looked up at the fierce-looking Lian Jing in a daze.

Mo Ru timidly stretched out two fingers. She carefully avoided touching Lian Jing directly and only gently tugged at his sleeve. “President Lian, why don’t we forget about it? He probably didn’t do it on purpose. Let’s go back to the private room quickly.”
Lian Jing’s narrow eyes moved slightly as he looked hostilely at her hand, that was pulling his sleeve.

She bit her lower lip lightly, her flushed and pitiful face looked very much like Shen Yin’s. Lian Jing narrowed his eyes and turned to look at the waiter who was standing there, not daring to say a word. “Send the cake to the private room.”
“Okay.” The waiter did not dare to object. He hurriedly took the handle from the shop assistant and carefully followed Lian Jing upstairs.
Mo Ru followed behind him, careful to maintain an appropriate distance. She lowered her eyes to hide her beautiful eyes, so that she looked like she had been terrified by what had just happened.
Only the shop assistant saw her wink playfully at him before she left.
When they left, the shop assistant knew that he had acted in a very offensive manner. He fled before someone could chase him off the premises.

In the elevator, Lian Jing looked coldly at the woman who was trying to follow him in. He finally condescended to speak to her. “Why are you following me?”
Mo Ru timidly took a large step forward and stepped into the elevator. She sighed with relief when the elevator doors shut. A pair of limpid eyes that resembled Shen Yin’s suddenly peeped boldly at him from under her lashes. “Ah Ran asked me to come and have fun with you. He said that it’s to celebrate the return of your sister and more people will make the party livelier.”

At the door of the private room, they heard Shang Sheng’s cries and complaints before they even opened the door. He was demanding the return of his tie clip.
The waiter tactfully pushed open the door of the private room for him. Then, he bowed and stepped aside to let the two of them enter first.
When Shen Yin saw the door open, she knew that Lian Jing was back. However, she did not expect a beautiful and elegant woman to enter with him.
Sensing a probing gaze, Mo Ru looked over and smiled knowingly.
No wonder Cheng Luo said that she had the highest chance of success. Even she could discern her resemblance to Shen Yin. In terms of looks, the two of them were equally matched.

Shang Sheng immediately said resentfully, “Cut me a slice with lots of cream and fruits too!”
Lian Meng was holding the knife as she turned to glare at him. “Aren’t you tired of eating so many desserts?”
“What do you mean? I want to give it to the goddess!” Shang Sheng was afraid that Mo Ru would be embarrassed when meeting everyone for the first time, so he walked over himself. He snatched the knife from Lian Meng and personally cut a slice of cake that satisfied him and handed it to Mo Ru.
Shen Yin looked at Shang Sheng’s attentive expression. As she ate the cake, she looked up at Lian Jing casually. “You’ve met her before?”
Lian Jing knew who she was referring to and did not think of hiding it from Shen Yin. He nodded and said, “We met once.”
“Oh.” Shen Yin did not ask anymore. She took a big mouthful of cake and placed at Lian Jing’s lips. “It’s very delicious and sweet. Try it?”
Lian Jing glanced at the others who were eating the cake around the round table. Suddenly, he grabbed her wrist, which was still holding the cake, and changed her position so that no one could see Shen Yin. He lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. After a while, he raised his head reluctantly. “It’s really delicious and sweet. Do you want me to try it again?”
