304 Father and Son Fighting for Favor
Lian Jing could not stand seeing her like this. He caressed her cheek gently. “Yin Yin, did that man bully you last night? Did he touch you? Did he pester you?”
“No!” Without waiting for Shen Yin to answer, Shen Nian smiled and raised his hand to reassure his father. He was eager to show off his achievements.
Lian Jing put down his hand and looked at his confident son. He lowered his eyes and asked, “How do you know?”
Shen Nian put his hands on his hips and smiled smugly. “Because I sent a spy last night. Cheng Mu slept with Mom all night.”
Shen Yin was caught between laughter and tears. She stroked his hair helplessly. “So you were the one who asked that little girl go over. I was wondering why she suddenly insisted on sleeping with me.”
Thinking of the chubby little girl, a smile appeared in Lian Jing’s eyes. He patted Shen Nian’s shoulder approvingly. “Well done. What reward do you want?”
Shen Nian’s eyes instantly lit up. He suddenly hugged Shen Yin’s arm and said, “I want to sleep with Mom tonight.”
“No.” Lian Jing pulled a long face and the smile in his eyes disappeared without a trace. “You’ve already grown up. You can’t sleep in the same room as her anymore.”
Shen Nian pouted unhappily and only dared to protest softly. “But before I met Dad, Mom and I slept together.”
At that time, their house was very small with only one bedroom. Mother and son squeezed together on a small bed, keeping each other company all the time. It had been cozy and comfortable.
Now that the house was bigger, Shen Nian saw Shen Yin less often. He was still a six-year-old child and could not adapt to this sudden change. He still wanted to use his youth to continue sticking to his mother, but his father said that he had already grown up.

Lian Jing was livid. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. “Shen Yin, you should keep me company today.”
Shen Yin picked up her son and weighed him in her arms. She glanced sideways at the gloomy man. “Then let’s all sleep together. My bed is big enough anyway.”
“Shen Yin!” Lian Jing growled. He wanted to say something else, but he could only watch helplessly as Shen Yin carried his son into the room.
They had not slept well last night and had been busy from morning until now. They were really tired now.
Shen Yin stood by the door, hugging her son with one hand and about to close the door with the other. Looking at Lian Jing, who was standing outside the door and staring at them sinisterly, she instantly said helplessly, “Are you coming or not? If you’re not, I’m going to close the door.”
Lian Jing snorted and strode into the room. He grabbed his son from her hand and tucked him under his arm. His eyes were ruthless. “You like sleeping with her, right? Don’t even think about sleeping in the middle.”
Shen Nian was uncomfortable from being squashed. He kicked repeatedly and struggled. When he heard what Lian Jing said, he immediately stopped moving. He glared at him fiercely and said, “Alright! Then let’s see who Mommy favors!”
Shen Yin had no idea that the two men were fighting for her favor. She closed the door and went to the bathroom to change into her pajamas. When she walked out, the two men had already changed and were lying on either side of the bed. There was a space in the middle for her.
Amused, she sat on the edge of the bed and nudged her son. “Lie further in. I’m afraid you’ll fall off.”
Shen Nian shook his head, his eyes full of pride. “Mommy, sleep in the middle. Daddy and I both want to sleep next to you.”
Speechless, Shen Yin looked up at Lian Jing, who was resting with his eyes closed. She nodded and said, “Alright then. Mommy will hug you to sleep.”
Lian Jing, who had been pretending to be asleep, immediately opened his eyes. “Shen Yin, he’s a boy.”
