Agnos continued to gaze down at his son, who just looked like his mini replica.

Their interaction started with a simple greeting.

“How have you been?” -Agnos.

“…Good.”

“Did you train properly?”

“….Yes.”

Devoir’s voice was meek.

It was a frustratingly slow response.

There were times when Agonos reprimanded his son’s behavior, but now his eyes looking at Devoir were indifferent.

After the tranquil silence, Agnos opened his mouth.

Agnos’s voice is like frost, hard to think of as a conversation between father and son.

“It seems to me that there is no progress at all.”

Devoir’s hands clenched after hearing Agnos’ monotonous but cold comments.

It was the first time Agnos returned to the mansion in five years.

Moreover, five years ago, Devoir was nothing but a wailing baby.

But other than that, nothing changed.

It was hard to accept for Devoir, who had endured harsh training from a young age.

A voice that permeated through Deboiret’s mouth, which had been kept tight the whole time.

Anguish was also evident on his distorted face.

“Dad doesn’t know anything.”

“I do not know?”

“Yes! How hard I worked—–“

– After shouting those words, Devoir raised his head.

However, Agnos’ expression was cold.

He had the same expression as Doll, which showed no emotion.

Deboir’s body trembled slightly on Agnos’s face as if he were looking at something worthless.

Devoir furiously stormed out of his seat.

“I hate you!”

However, Devoir’s steps halted.

Agnos used his Aura to bind Debvoir’s movements.

“Sit down.”

“I don’t want to.”

“You have to take the etiquette training again.”

Agnos’ eyes shone relentlessly.

As cold as his eyes, the way he was acting was also heartless.

The Aura that gripped the young son crushed his head in an instant.

Devoir tried to hold out, but it wasn’t enough.

A faint groan escaped Debvoir’s mouth.

“Ugh…”

Devoir’s body trembled.

Unable to withstand the pressure, he fell to the floor.

Devoir knelt and resisted the force that was about to crush him to the floor with only his arms and legs.

A low-pitched voice flowed from Agnos’ mouth, who was watching his son silently.

“I was wondering how weak you were, and now I got wind of it.”

It was a cruel remark.

Devoir thought Agnos’s words were colder than the chill of the marble he had touched.

Eventually, he banged his head on the floor.

Devoir realized that Agnos would not listen to him just because he protested.

Agnos’ clear voice pierced through Devoir.

“Then let’s make a bet. Let’s hear Lili’s opinion.”

– At Agnos’ words, Debuard raised his head brightly.

Agnos raised his eyes for a brief period as though astonished by Devoir, who had escaped from the grasp of his Aura.

– Of course, Devoir can not see Agnos’ reaction.

Devoir screamed while lying on the floor.

“Urg! Lili is on my side of course!”

“We’ll see about that.”

Unsatisfied with Agnos’ answer, Devoir clenched his fists and glared at him.

Agnos also did not avoid Debvoir’s gaze.

Flames rose in the air.

****

Devoir found it difficult to accept this situation.

Agnos was a father who barely knew about his son’s existence.

Devoir only knows that Agnos is the head of the Ardelos family and his father, but he is not well aware of any other facts.

It was just that there was a person called a father, and now he was away because of work.

But the father Devoir met was more terrifying than he thought.

An underlying fear of unknown reason swept through him.

Everyone praised him, but Devoir didn’t.

Devoir’s body stiffened the moment his gaze met his father’s expressionless eyes.

From the moment Devoir first saw it, he couldn’t shake that creepy feeling as if it was imprinted on him.

An instinctive sense was imprinted on him that he should not dare go against his orders.

Meanwhile, Lily’s name was mentioned.

He thought he could never give up on Lily.

Devoir’s hands were full of strength.

For the first time in his life, he wanted to win.

And the opponent was his father.

He was so overwhelmingly superior that there seemed to be no gap.

But not this time.

Devoir remembered the paper he still cherished in his arms.

Obviously, Lily drew flowers here without any hesitation.

This was an oath by which they swore to marry.

‘Of course Lili will be on his side, right?’

A smile appeared on Debvoir’s face.

At that moment, Debuard could not feel the cold Aura of Agnos.

It was like he was overflowing with power.

It was all thanks to Lily.

‘He was sure Lili will also be waiting for him to come back victorious!’

Thinking so far, Deboir raised his head and said confidently.

“Urg! Lily is definitely on my side.”

“We’ll see about that.”

However, Agnos’ expression was still indifferent.

Without a change in expression, he just left his son alone and closed the door.

The sound of the door being shut was deafening.

Usually, Devoir might have grumbled, saying, “I don’t like my dad.”

But not now.

Devoir left the room with a more confident expression than anyone else.

There was a commotion of servants in front of the door as if they were watching a play.

As soon as they saw Devoir, they stopped.

Even if they wanted to know what happened, they don’t have the ability.

But the source of the commotion, Devoir, had to run to Lily right away to get an answer.

Devoir passed a servant who stood in the way.

Then, he ran at a quicker pace than anyone else.

He ran out of breath and arrived at a garden with an open lake.

Because Devoir knew that Lily really liked this place.

Deboir’s footsteps stopped when he arrived at a familiar place.
