Book 3, Chapter 33 - Giant 18 Fold Waves

Yu Zhengen looked at the peerless young woman in a daze. The Giant Sword Sect never had a woman with this kind of temperament.

Looking at their clothes, Yu Zhengen quickly thought about all the sects in the Yan Province, but there was no sect with that kind of outfit. When he saw the quaint sword behind Zhao Jiuge, he decided that this was a pair of rogue cultivators who had wandered here.

Thinking about this, Yu Zhengen’s eyes shined and he had a new plan in mind.

Just while everyone was looking at Su Su in a daze, Zhao Jiuge let out a cough. Only now did the disciples of the Giant Sword Sect and Moon Water Temple recover their senses.

“Although I know my daughter-in-law is beautiful, you can’t stare like this. This famous flower already has an owner. If you keep looking, I’ll get jealous.”

When everyone heard Zhao Jiuge’s words, they wanted to smack him. For some reason, when Zhao Jiuge saw these people, he wanted to tease them.

After hearing this, not only were the disciples of the Giant Sword Sect and Water Moon Temple shocked, even Su Su found it funny. She couldn’t endure it and burst out laughing.

Although Su Su was laughing out loud, she felt very happy upon hearing Zhao Jiuge’s words. This increased her hope of them being together after she took him to meet her father in two years.

“Who are you!?”

Before they appeared, Yu Zhengen had control of the situation. When he saw this young man and woman appeared next to the dazzling Seven-Colored Flowing Light Grass, he let out another roar.

“This Seven-Colored Flowing Light Grass belongs to our Giant Sword Sect!”

Hearing this, Zhao Jiuge’s handsome face smiled and he knelt down next to the Seven-Colored Flowing Light Grass. Then he directly picked it off the ground before Yu Zhengen’s angry gaze.

After the Seven-Colored Flowing Light Grass was picked, the spirit force fluctuations that it emitted disappeared. Zhao Jiuge took out a jade bottle to store it and then put it into his storage ring. He raised his brows and said, “I have now picked the Seven-Clored Flowing Light Grass. Does it still belong to your Giant Sword Sect?”

On the side, Senior Brother Zhang from the Water Moon Temple let out a sigh of relief. He didn’t know who this young man and young woman were, but it was good that they wouldn’t have to immediately face off against Yu Zhengen. It was best to let them fight it out instead while they watched from the sidelines.

“I see that you’re tired of living. You dared to steal from our Giant Sword Sect. Today, I’ll make it so you can’t leave the Yan Province!”

Yu Zhengen was filled with anger and his eyes were filled with killing intent. It had always been him robbing others, no one had ever robbed him!

After he finished speaking, Yu Zhengen suddenly saw Pei Su Su beside Zhao Jiuge. His eyes were filled with desire and he grinned. “A weakling like you doesn’t deserve to have a beauty like that. You say the famous flower has an owner, then today I’ll come and loosen the soil!”

After he spoke, Zhao Jiuge’s gaze and expression suddenly turned extremely cold, making it seem like the temperature had dropped a few degrees. Originally, Zhao Jiuge felt guilty and was ready to use spirit stones to compensate the Water Moon Temple and the Giant Sword Sect. After all, he was stealing from them, and if it wasn’t for the fact that he urgently needed this, he wouldn’t do such a thing.

However, Yu Zhengen’s behavior and actions caused Zhao Jiuge to change his plans. He was ready to teach Yu Zhengen a lesson. It was fine to curse him, but no one was allowed to have any ideas about his woman!

Zhao Jiuge coldly said, “You can eat wantonly, but you can’t speak recklessly!”

Pei Su Su was like a woman who was not affected by anything. She didn’t care about Yu Zhengen’s dirty words because she knew Zhao Jiuge would teach him a lesson for her. If Zhao Jiuge couldn’t even protect his own woman, then he was a failure as a man.

“You guys wait on the side, I’m enough by myself,” Yu Zhengen said, and he already began to move. He released his golden spirit force and he was holding the Giant Faint Sword in one hand.

“Hmph.”

When Zhao Jiuge saw Yu Zhengen’s actions, he let out a cold snort. Although Yu Zhengen’s strength was good and he was the Chief Head Disciple of the Giant Sword Sect, he was not allowed to have thoughts about Su Su.

After Yu Zhengen moved, Zhao Jiuge felt a powerful aura. It was like mountains and rivers were moving to crush him.

Zhao Jiuge’s expression didn’t change at all from this pressure and his eyes remained very calm. However, his clothes fluttered due to this pressure.

An invisible spirit force fluctuation spread out from Zhao Jiuge’s body. Their cultivation was equal, both at the mid stage of the Spirit Core Realm.

Then a crisp phoenix cry echoed. Zhao Jiuge pulled his Cold Underworld Sword from its sheath.

Blue and white light surrounded the Cold Underworld Sword with a mix of purple light. This was the power of thunder, which was added due to the materials used.

Even though Zhao Jiuge hadn’t activated his flying sword, it still shined brightly. Even from far away, you could feel its sharpness.

“His strength is no worse than Yu Zhengen and he even has top-quality spirit treasures. It looks like his foundation isn’t much worse. Seems like Yu Zhengen has kicked a metal wall.”

Senior Brother Zhang from the Water Moon Temple looked at Zhao Jiuge enviously and felt happy due to Yu Zhengen’s misfortune.

As for the two male disciples beside him, they weren’t interested. They were more concerned about returning to the sect.

However, the two female disciples looked at the figure holding the Cold Underworld with worship. In particular, when they saw their two senior brothers from the corner of their eyes, the worship in their eyes intensified. Zhao Jiuge’s overbearing words were the complete opposite of how these two senior brothers were acting.

Pei Su Su noticed all of this and couldn’t help but mutter, “This blockhead has become more and more attractive. He can harm other girls so easily now. I’ll have to keep a closer eye on him in the future.”

The Giant Sword Sect disciples’ reactions were the complete opposite of the Water Moon Temple disciples. Their faces filled panic; they didn’t think such a harmless-looking man was actually stronger than them.

Both of them quickly pulled out their flying swords and firmly held them. With one order from Yu Zhengen, they would immediately make a move against Zhao Jiuge. Several spirit force fluctuations spread one after the other.

“Good sword!”

Yu Zhengen let out a roar and his eyes shined while he looked at Zhao Jiuge’s Cold Underworld Sword. He completely ignored Zhao Jiuge’s cultivation. So what if they had the same cultivation? The strong could even defeat someone at the late stage while only at the early stage!

Yu Zhengen’s expression became even more intense. A top-quality treasure and a peerless beauty like Su Su endlessly stimulated his greed. At this moment, Yu Zhengen’s breathing became erratic.

Yu Zhengen finally couldn’t endure it anymore and used the most barbaric method: directly swinging the Giant Faint Sword in his hand toward Zhao Jiuge.

The Broken Heaven Sword Art the Giant Sword Sect cultivated focused on raw, savage force. Yu Zhengen’s sword energy was powerful and dense like a mountain.

Zhao Jiuge’s eyes contained a bit of interest. This was his first time encountering a somewhat strange sword art.

After a brief moment, the cry of a phoenix echoed and a few fine rays of silver sword energy erupted.

If Yu Zhengen’s sword was like towering mountains filled with power, then Zhao Jiuge’s humble sword was filled with sword intent.

The rays of sword energy were like lonely boats swaying in the raging sea. They were also like the autumn wind, filled with sorrow, as well as the bright star and moon that shined on the world.

Each ray of sword energy contained a different sword intent. Zhao Jiuge could only display the first three layers of the Mysterious Heaven Sword Art right now.

Boom!

A thunderous boom echoed through the clouds. The surrounding flowers and trees were affected by this collision. Layers of leaves fell to the ground and many branches were cut. There were holes of varying sizes in the dirt now.

The moment the sword energies collided, Zhao Jiuge’s sword energy began to melt like snow. However, a burst of power came afterward and fended off the powerful sword energy from Yu Zhengen.

Zhao Jiuge was startled. He thought Yu Zhengen was worthy of being the Chief Head Disciple of the Giant Sword Sect. If he hadn’t made a qualitative leap in his strength before leaving the sect, he would have made a fool of himself here today.

The first-rate sects’ foundations were no worse than that of the holy lands. However, they didn’t have Mahayana Realm cultivators to back them up, so they had no power in making any decisions.

Yu Zhengen was the most shocked. The Broken Heaven Sword Art was no ordinary sword art—being the main sword art used by a first rate sect was proof of this. It was naturally extraordinary, and few people could withstand his attacks. However, against Zhao Jiuge, not only did he not hold any advantage, he had even suffered a loss.

Rage and discontent filled Yun Zhengen’s heart. He was ready to use the Giant Sword Sect’s famous Giant 18 Fold Waves to teach Zhao Jiuge a lesson and to get back some face before his two junior brothers.

However, a thought suddenly appeared in his mind. He couldn’t help but become curious about where this young man with such a powerful sword art and top-quality spirit sword came from. It looked like his previous speculation was completely wrong. This man didn’t look like a rogue cultivator, but someone who had a background.

Thinking about this, Yu Zhengen stopped and his pupils shrank. He looked at Zhao Jiuge and asked, “Who the hell are you!?”
