Chapter 2: Being Exiled (2)

Translator: 安贝-Peggyan

Xiao Rang sadly looked at the ground and said, “Your Highness, I’m so useless, am I?”

I said with a smile, “No, not at all. Xiao Rang, I still admire you for your strength.”

He suddenly kneeled down in front of me. At the age of ten, he was far thinner and weaker than his strong father.

He said, “Your Highness, I’ll protect you with my life just like my father.” His knees hit the ground so hard that he caused a silent sound.

However, before I could reply to him, unprecedentedly heavy snow appeared suddenly and almost threw the dome off the temple, and the surrounding chill approached me like a wave. My consciousness became a blur. I thought at the beginning that those assassins came after us. But, I saw the eyes of Xiao Yan who rushed inside were like the brightest flames on the snowland and were fixed on me. The snow starting surrounding me, and my skin was as cold as the emotionless ice. My body began to float upward, and the huge glacier raised up all of a sudden from the ground. Xiao Rang stared at me in terror.

I suddenly remembered that today was my tenth birthday, and then I became relaxed to unload all my defense. The effect was quite obvious. The snow around rotated more fiercely just like a whirlpool in the deep of the sea.

Reaching the critical point, the rotating ice abruptly pierced through the dome and skyrocketed to the clear cobalt blue sky. Subsequently, the snow stopped suddenly, for all of it roared around me or above my head. If I closed my eyes, I could even feel its formidable strangulation power. The snow froze my skin and my eyelashes and was as horrific as a tornado if we saw it from afar.

Boom! Boom! Boom! The sky starting clearing up, and I began to fall off.

Having seen both Xiao Rang and Xiao Yan looked behind me with vacant eyes, I turned around and saw the colossal ice pillar stretching to the sky. It seemed endless, and I could only see a small part of it.

Xiao Yan became calm again. He kneeled down right away and said, “Your Highness, we have to leave here as soon as possible.”

But, why I was immersed in that power.

“Your Highness, we must leave here quickly.”

An ice storm appeared suddenly on the snowland, where there was originally no snow, before Xiao Yan was done talking. Thousands of shouts came nearby from afar in a blink of an eye. I saw the huge flames turn into the sharp pale blue air knives and even saw the huge blue waves coming from the northeast. Xiao Yan stood before I and Xiao Rang with the heavy knight’s spear before his chest. In this case, we couldn’t leave even if we wanted to.

The movement just now startled the nearby Ice Wizards who had earlier received the order from the Imperial City that if they saw me, the second prince of the Imperial City of Snowland, they should kill me right away.

Xiao Yan once told me that it was my elder brother, not my father make that order. I didn’t know why my elder brother wanted to kill me.

Finally, Xiao Yan told me one day under an oil lamp with his knees down when Xiao Rang slept. He said, “Your Highness, since only the prince who is the most powerful Ice Wizard can succeed to the crown, the eldest prince worries about your probably astounding talents, so he wants to kill you.”

“But, how can he be sure that my talents will be higher than his?”

“Yes, he isn’t sure, so the day of your tenth birthday when you summon snow will put us in the biggest danger.”

I totally got it.

My brother was 100 years elder than me. When I was given birth, my brother suddenly grew into an adult from a child. In our snowland, each divine spirit would be a child for 100 years. After that, he would become mature, and his spiritual power would increase geometrically.

We would generate meteorological changes at ten years old. The fierce degree of the meteorological changes directly influenced our future development. It was said that my brother froze the entire Imperial City, and the ice wasn’t melted until my father interfered in this.

I generated a huge ice pillar reaching for the sky.

My mind had just wandered for a while. However, I was stunned when seeing that Xiao Yan kneeled down in front of me with a big hole on his chest. The blood of the bodies around me was burning like flames.

“Leng Xi, Your Highness, please leave here as soon as you can...” said Xiao Yan with his knight’s spear stuck into the ground to support himself from falling down.

“Father...”Xiao Rang cried sadly, but I pulled him.

The snow became heavier and heavier, hurting my face. The sky that had cleared up was covered with a layer of gray membrane, and the whole world was placed upside down in the net.

I could still see numberless people with high wizardry rushing at here, sense the coldness, even feel the huge surging flame. Countless people came here continuously and wanted to kill me who had the highest talents now and was exiled by the Imperial City as the second prince.

“Leng Xi, Your Highness, please leave...” Xiao Yan had run out his stamina. Even if he was a knight with the strongest physical body, he couldn’t fight against the countless enemies.

Xiao Rang cried and wanted to leave with his father together. However, as more and more people came here, we would be killed if we didn’t leave right now.

Xiao Rang rushed toward his father and hugged him for the first time. Since Xiao Rang left the Imperial City with us, Xiao Yan always held me in his arms, for he had to accomplish the task our supreme king assigned to him.

On his father’s face were chunks of blood frozen by the snow. I couldn’t even see his bright eyes. It was also the first time that Xiao Yan hugged Xiao Rang. He dropped the spear on the ground and entrust it with Xiao Rang. As he whispered to Xiao Rang’s ears, he knocked Xiao Rang out with his hand and threw both Xiao Rang and the knight’s spear symbolizing the honor of a knight at me.

“Your Highness, please! You’ve generated a meteorological change, so please leave right away. I’ll be here to stop them.” It was the first time that Xiao Yan had shouted at me.

With a nod to him, I held Xiao Rang with the same size of me and cast the Blizzard Seal.

Subsequently, I disappeared. Heavy snow appeared where I had stood on and filled in the dispersed pupils of Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan was pierced through by three knight’s spears from behind, and his head was penetrated by huge ice.

His blood streamed through the snowland.

His burning blood became cold gradually.

He stared at the direction where I disappeared.

“My kid, Xiao Rang...”
