ILE 9

Frontier town (9)

The face of the leading barbarian had turned black, and there were many wounds on his body, but he just couldn’t fall, and continued to attack.

Cheng Huaiqian and the leading barbarian clashed with each other. The two of them fell back in both directions. Xia Ruize rushed over to hold Cheng Huaiqian, but was pushed by Cheng Huaiqian, “Quick, kill him!”

The leading barbarian had fallen to the ground feebly, struggling to stand up and attack again but couldn’t do it. Xia Ruize could easily kill him.

Xia Ruize didn’t dare to hesitate. Following Cheng Huaiqian’s instructions, he personally ended up the leading barbarian. The watch vibrated at the same time. Although the watch kept vibrating during the entire battle, Xia Ruize knew that this vibration meant that the leading barbarian’s kill was counted on his head.

“How is your situation? We must get out of here as soon as possible.”

Now was not the time to care about the record, Xia Ruize ran back to help Cheng Huaiqian sit on the high platform aside, and asked eagerly.

“I won´t die for the time being, you can pull off the arrows from them, otherwise it will reveal where you were before, and we will leave after handling them.”

Cheng Huaiqian barked his teeth and laughed wickedly. When he was chopped, he wouldn’t immediately feel pain, but now was different. The pain was coming up together, and he felt that he can’t hold on anymore.

Xia Ruize realized, before, Cheng Huaiqian also took out the arrows from the corpse, it turned out to be to cover his position.

Xia Ruize casually pulled a piece of cloth, wrapped his hand, and pulled the arrow from the leading Barbarian and threw it aside. He also ran back to the Jixiang Restaurant to deal with the scene, concealed the secret attic on the roof, and then returned to the courtyard. He picked up Cheng Huaiqian and left the courtyard.

Cheng Huaiqian’s mind was barely awake. He directed Xia Ruize to walk into an alley. He knew that the cellar of a certain family was designed to be very hidden, and the two of them could hide.

It’s a pity that the family was found by the barbarians before they could hide. Cheng Huaiqian, who heard the movement and came to help, helped avenge the family, and the dying head of the household informed him of the location of the cellar.

The cellar of the house mentioned by Cheng Huaiqian was indeed very hidden. After hiding it in the kitchen cabinet, you needed to remove the cabinet to see the entrance of the cellar.  Generally, it was difficult to think of coming here to search.

In the cellar was a wooden bed with straw mats, and some vegetables and grains were piled up in the corner.

Xia Ruize put the injured Cheng Huaiqian on the wooden bed, and quickly got up and left the cellar, and began to clean up the traces left by them along the road.

After covering up their tracks, Xia Ruize dug out some clean cloth from the head of the household’s room, took a few basins of water to return to the cellar, and found that Cheng Huaiqian had fainted.

Xia Ruize stood there for a moment at a loss, took out his mobile phone and turned on the flashlight, placing his fingers on Cheng Huaiqian’s nose with trembling fingers.

Okay! He was breathing!

After a sigh of relief, Xia Ruize began to help Cheng Huaiqian clean the wound.

Cheng Huaiqian was different from the young boy wearing a T-shirt and jeans who fell in front of Xia Ruize at the beginning. They had been fighting side by side for a long time, supporting each other, watching and helping each other, and they were already friends.

The death of a stranger and the death of a friend were obviously different, the latter hitting him harder.

So, Xia Ruize refused to think about the most terrifying result, and tried his best to rescue Cheng Huaiqian.

Xia Ruize was not a professional medical staff. All he could do was to wipe off the blood stains, wash the wounds, and then tie the wounds with the bandage dropped from the treasure chest.

Fortunately, the treasure chests dropped by the barbarians killed in the previous fierce battle appeared one after another in the space.

The number of kills recorded on Xia Ruize’s head was a total of 12 barbarians, divided into four types:

[Kill a barbarian. Strength +0.1】

[Kill a barbarian elite. Strength +0.1, Agility +0.1, Constitution +0.1】

[Kill a small barbarian leader. Strength +0.2 Agility +0.2 Constitution +0.2】

[Kill a big barbarian leader. Strength +0.5, Agility +0.5, Constitution +0.5, Spirit +0.5]

Among them, there were a total of eight ordinary barbarians, and three wooden boxes broke out, with three rolls of bandages, a bucket of mineral water and a piece of barbecue.

The so-called barbarian elite should refer to the four guards following the leading barbarian, that was, the big barbarian leader, whose death was counted on Xia Ruize’s head, and a bottle of healing medicine was dropped:

[Recovery Potion: weak hemostatic and pain-relieving effect, can slightly promote the recovery of the injury. Oral, can be used in combination. ]

Xia Ruize found the bottle of healing potion and immediately took it out of the space. There was some transparent liquid in the finger-sized glass bottle.

He didn’t know what was inside, but so far, everything dropped by killing the barbarians was pretty reliable. Xia Ruize chose to believe in this potion.

He cautiously raised Cheng Huaiqian’s head halfway, put the potion bottle on his mouth, and fed him little by little.

Although Cheng Huaiqian was in a coma, he didn’t completely lose his senses, so he swallowed.

Not long after the entire bottle of recovery potion was poured, Xia Ruize noticed that Cheng Huaiqian’s frowning eyebrows had been loosened even though he was in a coma. Realizing that the potion had worked, he was finally relieved.

After pouring the healing potion, Xia Ruize continued to help Cheng Huaiqian clean up the wounds. These wounds were deep and shallow, shocking, and one even had bones deeply visible, which made people unbearable to look straight.

Xia Ruize carefully cleaned every wound, he tied it tightly with a bandage, and treated it as cleanly as possible.

But the more he cleaned up, the more complicated Xia Ruize’s mood became. Cheng Huaiqian didn’t show how uncomfortable he was until he fainted, and even smiled at Xia Ruize who was carrying him on his back.

He really didn’t know how much pain he endured before he smiled. At this moment, Xia Ruize felt deep admiration in his heart.

“Looking fascinated?”

Just when Xia Ruize finished treating the wound and was staring at the dumplings he wrapped up, he suddenly heard a sound. Looking up in surprise, he saw Cheng Huaiqian waking up and was looking over with a smile. His voice was a little hoarse, but it didn’t prevent him from joking.

In the dim cellar, only the flashlight of the mobile phone was working, and Cheng Huaiqian’s dark and deep eyes were particularly shining in the sporadic lights.

“Puff.” Xia Ruize couldn’t help laughing, with surprise and joy in his voice, “What nonsense, how do you feel?”

“Much better.” Cheng Huaiqian nodded. He did feel much better than before. The pain was not as strong as before, and the sticky blood stains on his body were also cleaned up, making the whole person more comfortable.

He flipped his hand, and a bottle of healing potion appeared in Cheng Huaiqian’s hand, “didn´t you use yours on me? One should be yours.”

Cheng Huaiqian was not unconscious. In a trance, he felt that Xia Ruize had fed him something to drink. When he woke up and checked his own space, he immediately realized that Xia Ruize might have also received a healing potion, and then gave him a dose.

Xia Ruize looked at the recovery potion in Cheng Huaiqian’s hand, his eyes lit up, but what he said was beyond Cheng Huaiqian’s expectation.
