The sharp edge of the long staff managed to stab an inch deep wound on the zombie's detached arm.

ro, ro, ro, ro, roar-?

The zombie roared jovially seeing the staff really hit the weapon it used.

However, its roar froze as the staff suddenly glowed in red.

In an instant, the staff's length was extended and had transformed into a chain.

An anchor could be seen on the other end of the chain. The chain continued to extend and the anchor threatened to hit the zombie's hideous face.

At the last moment, the zombie was able to avoid the anchor in a hairsbreadth. The anchor brushed past its head.

The level two zombie was just about to celebrate when it noticed that the chain movement suddenly stopped. The anchor that brushed past its head suddenly took a u-turn and coiled around its head.

The anchor entered the zombie's gaping mouth and it almost swallowed the whole anchor.

Grinning under the mask, Nile pulled the chain rapidly to lock the anchor's bill inside the zombie's mouth.

He didn't stop and the instant the anchor had already anchored deep inside the zombie's mouth, he let the chain glow.

Suddenly, blades started to sprout on the surface of the chain rapidly.

The zombie let go of the detached arm and tried to grab the chain with its enormous hand in panic.

He didn't mind and the moment the zombie's hand touched the chain… He made a sudden move and flicked the chain rapidly. The chain bounced and coiled around the zombie's arm and body at the same time.

He pulled the chain to tighten its bind the instant the chain finished coiling around the body.

Weesh!

Sounds of flesh getting cut rang in his ears as the chain-blades traveled across the level two zombie's skin.

ROAR!

The zombie's agonizing roars sounded as it tried hard to break free from the chain binding it.

Unfortunately, every time it struggled to break free, the chain would entwine further to bind its body more tightly.

The zombie kneeled to the ground while it's enormous arm was still trying to get off the chains out of its body.

Unfortunately for the zombie, Nile wouldn't let it happen.

The chain blades had already been implanted deeply on the zombie's skin. Tightening his grip on the handle, Nile pulled the chain rapidly, but this time he didn't stop and continued to do so until he no longer felt something hard obstructing the pull.

The chain glowed in red and transformed back into a long black staff. Dark-blood could be seen streaming off the staff's surface like a river.

He turned around and flicked the staff towards the side to get rid of the blood coating the staff.

The zombie was rooted in place behind his back. As if a broken mirror, the zombie's body suddenly separated into many parts.

The separated parts started to slide off and fall towards the ground one after another.

Moo!

Grrrr!

Maximo and Croco applauded at the same time after seeing the strong zombie gets cut into pieces by their master.

Maximo stomped his foot on the ground rapidly while Croco was wriggling his body like a snake.

"Let's go!" Nile said in a hurry as he hopped towards Maximo's back.

The two were confused but still decided to follow the order of their master.

Flicking the rein, Nile urges Maximo to gallop away.

"Stop! Stop!"

A frantic shout suddenly rang in Nile's ears. The shout came from the back and from that alone, he already knew it was a human survivor.

"Stop your mom!" Nile responded as he continued flicking the reins.

He didn't stop as he knew how dangerous it would be if he stopped.

Maximo galloped as fast as he could while Croco followed behind them, wriggling his body like a snake.

In an instant, the trio disappeared from the eyes of the group pursuing on their back.

"Shit! Follow him!" The voice sounded again, and this time, it was accompanied by multiple footsteps sounds.

They stopped for a moment and observed the level two zombie's body that was cut into pieces by Nile.

One of the men kneeled and checked the zombie's head to search for the Apocalypse Virus inside it.

The man retracted his bloody hand away from the zombie's head before wiping it on the clothes of one of the men around him. "No Apocalypse Virus here!"

"Zombies are approaching us!" One of the men said. He has a blue handkerchief wrapped around his head.

"Huh? How do you know?" The man beside him asked.

The man with a blue handkerchief on his head turned towards the man beside him. With an ever serious expression, he said, "My spider-sense is tingling!"

"Fuck-"

The man was about to smack the blue handkerchief guy when he heard a voice on his front.

"No! His right! The fight had attracted the other zombie's attention! Sooner or later, this area would be swamped by them!"

"Hurry! Follow that man!" He continued.

He seems to be the leader of the squad as the other men around him followed his order instantly.

And he's right, as a moment later after they left, dozens of humongous and tiny figures alike, appeared one after another in the area.

They stared at each other and scanned their surroundings at the same time.

Tension grew in the air as they stared at each other. Any moment and the tension would immediately break with one careless mistake.

Fortunately, one tiny figure stepped back little by little before leaving the area. Seeing that, the other also left one by one after the tiny figure disappeared from their view.

The dozens of men pursuing Nile, was now resting inside a broken building.

No matter how fast they ran, they just couldn't see Nile's figure again.

"Bart, I'm confused. Why are we pursuing that man?" One of the men, asked their brawny leader, Bart.

Bart was silent and seemed to be deeply thinking about something.

The man donning a handkerchief on his head was the one who answered him instead. "Are you an idiot? Of course, it's because that man killed the level two zombie we are monitoring for days."
