The person near the door could only settle back on the seat as Bart had already opened the door.

"Sorry I'm late, may I come in?" Said the person outside the door. The person is wearing a black leather outfit. A leather jacket, leather pants, leather shoes, and leather gloves. His eyes have dark circles and no one knew if it's due to eyebags, bruises or if it was just make-up.

Bart flinched a little after seeing the man before him. He took a step back and nodded to the man outside the door. Bart then went back to his seat and took a peek at Dotina, who nodded her head towards Bart as thanks.

"Take your seat." Said Dotina.

The man nodded his head, his long bangs waving in the process.

"Today, we will talk about the Beheader," Dotina said as she straightened her back.

"Pfft!"

Dotina looked towards the girl who chuckled, she knitted her brows in confusion as she eyes the girl, asking what's funny.

"Your habit as a teacher acted again." Said the girl.

"Oh… sorry!" Dotina just laughed off her embarrassment and continued what she was speaking.

"Anyway, all of you must have already heard about the Beheader, right?"

All the people around the table nodded their heads in unison.

Dotina then proceeded to brief the rest on what the matter really is all about. After she finished, she asked, "Any questions before we proceed?"

"Pfft… yeah, I have a question." The girl raised her hand like a student.

"Go ahead!"

"Teacher, this Beheader, is it a person? Or a zombie?" The girl asked.

"For now, we don't have any evidence concerning that. But, based on what we have so far, the Beheader seems to be only targeting zombies. The humans that got killed were also dressing as a zombie, so the Beheader must have mistaken them as a zombie." Dotina asked.

"So? What are we going to do?" Said a man in a coat. He's wearing a magician's hat and a monocle on his right eye. A walking stick was also rested above his knees.

"For now, we should investigate it. The Level One members are unwilling to go out, so we could only do this on our own. Well, even if they really dared to go out, they can't do much either. Even more so right now that the Level Two° zombies had gone out from their nest and seemed to be roaming the streets, as if they were searching for something." Answered Dotina.

"Alright, group yourselves into two or three. We will search and investigate around the town tomorrow." Dotina said as she clapped her hand.

"If any of you ever see the Beheader first, don't act recklessly and inform the others first." The leader interjected all of a sudden.

"We can use my mutated pigeons for communications, I have already tamed some of them, enough for six groups. " The man with a monocle suggested.

Before the apocalypse started, he was a street entertainer. He often performed some tricks on the street with his pigeons and some passer-by would offer money to him. His earnings were enough to buy him and his pigeons three meals a day.

After the apocalypse started, he was grief-stricken as some of his pigeons had become affected and died due to the virus.

Luckily, a handful of them were able to survive. He did his best not to starve them and after two months, when it was two or three weeks ago, some of his pigeons started to mutate. Having longer and shiny flights, some of their feathers even had the characteristics of metal, which surprised him even more.

However, his pigeons had also become wild. He could do nothing other than to lock them inside a huge rusted cage somewhere in the town. And after a week since they mutated, his perseverance had finally borne fruit.

He managed to tame the mutated pigeons, and currently, he could even understand some of their basic actions clearly. Different from before, he could now also freely command them to do some of his daily tasks, such as flipping the old newspapers he was reading, fetching him things, etc.

"Before the apocalypse, they had already circled the town, so it could be said that they are very familiar around the place, they won't be lost, no matter where you are." He said.

The leader's head moved up and down before saying, "Okay, let's do that uncle. But how do they work?" The leader inquired.

"Simple, I'll assign each group a pigeon, and if they ever had something to report, all they need is to say my name, 'Adam', and my pigeons will immediately fly and return to me immediately."

"The pigeon will then lead me to the person who made the report and if there's an emergency, I could use another pigeon to inform the others. You will know when there is an emergency if the pigeon you are assigned to keeps on flapping its wings."

"The pigeon you are assigned to will be able to sense it first, it is some sort of danger awareness. If one of their friends is in panic, the others would also sense it. So if that ever happens, all you need to do is follow the beak where the pigeon is pointing to and you will instantly reach the area of the emergency." The street performer Adam said.

"Okay, I agree… When will you distribute the pigeons then? We will depart tomorrow morning, by the way." The leader said.

"I can distribute them now, or tomorrow when we depart," Adam said. He got up from his chair and rotated a full 360 degrees before stopping at the back of the chair he was seating earlier.

In an elegant motion, he pierced the hole of the chair's back post with the walking stick.

Eerrk!

The chair produced a squeaking noise as he dragged it to the side using the walking stick.

As the chair was set aside, the area where it was placed on before now had a small square birdcage. Inside the cage, five huge pigeons were tightly compressed against each other just to fit themselves inside the small and square birdcage.
