[One-Man Meeting]

Pilar Azveed.

That name stuck in my mind, making it difficult for me to focus on prepping for the entrance ceremony. Thankfully, with everyone’s help, I managed to get everything done with no problem.

“Phew…”

I decided to go to bed earlier than usual today for tomorrow.

I was both physically and mentally exhausted.

The two remaining members of Raul’s harem in the original storyline.

Tayte was getting along well with me.

Reina seemed to be head over heels for her fiancé, Sir Abel.

Miss Teixeira was going out with Mr. Walter.

Madeline had decided to search for new love.

Miss Mia was dating another guy.

Unlike in the original storyline, each of them was already in a relationship with or was searching for a guy that wasn’t Raul.

And now, Pilar, the ‘little sister’, had shown up.

I lay my back on the bed, looked up at the ceiling, and recalled the contents of the original novel.

Pilar was a commoner. The most apt way to describe her was a ball of energy.

By fighting alongside each other, she became friends with Raul, and somewhere down the line, their friendship turned into love. In that sense, she was a bit different from the other heroines.

She was first introduced in the original novel after Raul graduated—in other words, after he got kicked out of the hero party by the original Barrett.

As such, I thought we’d only meet her and the other heroine after we graduated. I never imagined we’d see her so soon.

Something didn’t add up, though. In the scene where Raul and Pilar met, they clearly had never seen each other, judging from their conversation. Maybe they didn’t each other at the academy… I mean, though Raul was now getting along well with everyone in the class and was a member of the student council, his school life in the original storyline was… terrible, to say the least. His only silver lining was that Tayte was there for him.

I wondered how his relationship with Pilar would develop in this situation completely different from the original novel.

I mean, Raul had already got a girlfriend namely Eureka, with whom he had shared joys and sorrows, so I doubted he’d fall for Pilar. My guess was they’d become acquaintances then went on completely separated paths, like Miss Mia’s case.

In any case, I should pay some attention to her.

I knew she wasn’t a homewrecker, I never knew what would happen.

Right then, the dream I had about the original Barrett crossed my mind.

After talking with the mystery person, Barrett smiled wickedly.

What did they talk about? Why did he smile that way?

And… what was he planning?

If the flow of the original story changed drastically, would it have some kind of impact on this world? Could Pilar Azveed’s admission be the beginning of that? Such thoughts surfaced in my mind.

“…Damn. Maybe it’s because I’m exhausted? I’m starting to overthink things.”

I slapped my cheeks hard.

Even if Pilar enrolled in the academy, what I had to do wouldn’t change.

To have a happy future with Tayte and the others, I would smash all my ruin flags, no matter what.

Pilar’s admission was a great opportunity for me to reaffirm my resolve.
