[Fun Night]

“Dragon…”

Speaking of which, in the original novel [The Rise of the Weakest Holy Swordsman], there was an episode in which Raul journeyed to find a dragon with his harem.

“This statue represents the sea dragon,” President Annette explained to me while I was admiring the dragon statue, “According to an ancient legend, whenever the sea dragon appears, a great calamity will occur. This statue was created as a way to appease the sea dragon’s potential wrath.”

“I-I see…”

…I got a feeling that it wasn’t a mere fairy tale.

After all, magic and monsters were common in this world. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was at least one dragon on the prowl.

Afterward, we continued our tour of the academy with the guidance of President Annette and Vice-President Marze.

As time went by, we naturally got along better. Sharing the same age, we effortlessly transitioned from formal to casual speech, and I quickly adapted to this change.

In the evening, we gathered at the cafeteria for dinner. A special menu was on offer for the day, and we dined alongside other students of Randolph Academy.

A variety of dishes lined up on the table, predominantly seafood-based, a reflection of Salencia Kingdom’s proximity to the sea. It was evident that the dishes were infused with unique spices and prepared in a manner distinct from what we were accustomed to in our home, Bramshal Kingdom.

I was guessing my three maids, who were enjoying dinner in their shared room, were equally taken aback by the assortment of dishes. Especially Marina, the most skilled cook among the three—I could easily picture her eyes lighting up with surprise.

As for the taste…

“Delicious!”

All of our evaluations could be summed up into that one word.

The lingering, tantalizing aftertaste could undoubtedly be attributed to the spices.

But the true standout was, without a doubt, the fish; their individual flavors were simply amazing.

Before long, an array of crab, shrimp, and shellfish dishes made their appearance as well, further giving me a hard time deciding which to eat.

“Meat is great, but fish is just as great!”

“Yes! They all taste wonderful!”

Andrei and Raul, both esteemed members of the Knights of the Academy, were clearly indulging themselves to the fullest. Fortunately, they managed to maintain a bare minimum of manners, so I decided not to warn them.

The girls, meanwhile, were enjoying their meal quietly.

But upon a closer look, their hands moved swiftly, though not as aggressively as the two boys. Their movements exuded elegance, even though the quantity of food they consumed didn’t differ much from what Raul and Andrei were consuming. This was particularly noticeable with Kleine and Jarvis.

Conversely…

“Isn’t it delicious, Barrett?”

Beside me, Tayte maintained her reserved demeanor.

But it was only natural, she was never a big eater. So was Madeline and Eureka. So, while they savored the meal, their portions were slightly less than what Kleine and Jarvis were tackling.

Our enjoyment wasn’t limited to the food itself.

Interacting with students from Randolph Academy added liveliness to our dinner.

Following the meal, not only were we treated to dessert, but there was also a traditional dance performance performed by several students, leaving nothing to be desired.

With all that done, we were escorted to our designated rooms, so we could finally take a rest and prepare for the upcoming classes tomorrow.

If I recall correctly, they mentioned a mock battle as the first class.

…Yup, I was looking forward to it. But that’s why it seemed I was going to have trouble sleeping tonight.
