[Second Dungeon Exploration]

The practical class held at Randolph Academy turned out to be quite the surprise–a dungeon exploration.

But compared to the dangerous dungeons adventurers usually delved into, this one boasted a significantly lower danger level and a more modest size, making it a prime choice for training.

Andrei, Kleine, and Madeline said this would be their first venture into dungeon exploration, but they didn’t seem to be too nervous.

“A dungeon, huh… I’ve always wanted to try to explore one.”

“Stay vigilant, Madeline. Carelessness might cost you.”

“I know, Kleine.”

“Well, no matter what kind of monsters show up, I’ll just take them all down!”

The three of them radiated enthusiasm.

Conversely, the rest of the group, who had previously ventured into the dungeon near my family’s villa, seemed quite calm.

“Honestly… I never imagined my second dungeon exploration would come in the form of a practical class during an exchange program.”

“But I’m kind of looking forward to it.”

Jarvis and Tayte seemed at ease, likely because their prior experience.

Raul, meanwhile, was engaged in some sort of lecture with Eureka, his girlfriend.

After completing the preparations, the moment to embark on the dungeon exploration had finally arrived.

“All right, shall we go?”

Annette, the president of Randolph Academy’s student council, had joined Team A, the group I was in, to balance the numbers.

“Thank you for coming with us, Annette.”

“Oh, no need to thank me. I’m quite excited to witness everyone’s skills firsthand.”

“You can count on me! I might be echoing Andrei, but I’m going to take down any monsters that dare cross our path!”

Ehen, Madeline puffed out her chest.

Come to think of it, I heard she’s been training under Andrei recently to improve her physical abilities… but it seemed that she had also inherited her mentor’s personality.

–But I must say, I was surprised by how composed Annette seemed to be… but that’s to be expected from the student council president of an academy that rivaled Astor Academy, I guess. Nevertheless, we weren’t going to be outdone by her. I had confidence in our capabilities.

“Well, then. Team A, you go first.”

At the signal of Miss Teixeira, who was accompanying us on this short-term study abroad, we stepped into the dungeon.

Looking around at the interior, I didn’t come across anything particularly unfamiliar within the dungeon.

It bore a striking resemblance to the previous dungeon I had explored, the only notable difference being its location.

Nevertheless, the monsters that spawned here were bound to differ, whether in their types or strength. As such, we had to proceed with our guards up.

I maintained a watchful eye for monsters—but my worry turned out to be groundless.

Given that this was a training ground for students, the monsters here weren’t exceptionally powerful, as previously mentioned. Truth be told, it left me feeling somewhat dissatisfied.

“Nicely done, both of you,” Annette commended.

“Oh, no, this is just enough for a warm-up!” Madeline replied.

Madeline seemed to be in high spirits… but I found myself growing uneasy contrarily.

Something was off here.

A vague sense of unease began to creep over me.

–And then, almost immediately…

“Hm?”

I sensed tremors for a brief instant.

Just as I wondered what could have caused it—an incident happened.
