[Raul’s Premonition]

Today we had classroom lectures at Randolph Academy, where we were studying abroad for a short term.

The lectures were quite distinct from those at Astor Academy, providing us with a fulfilling and productive experience.

When it was time for the lunch break, we made our way to the cafeteria. As we did, I struck up a conversation with Raul, who seemed preoccupied since this morning

“Hey, Raul. Is there something bothering you?”

“Huh?”

“I mean, you’ve been acting off since this morning.”

“…I can’t hide anything from you. You saw right through me.”

“Hahaha, ‘anything’ might be an overstatement. But when a friend’s in trouble, you’ve got to help them, right?”

“Lord Barrett…”

Looked like my genuine feelings reached Raul.

After a brief silence, he spoke, “In truth, I… saw something last night.”

“You saw something? What was it?”

“A pair of suspicious-looking men.”

“?!”

Could they be… the same men from the dungeon?

However, Raul didn’t get to see the men’s faces as he hadn’t been there with us in the dungeon, so he couldn’t be sure if the suspicious men he had seen on campus last night were the same men. We couldn’t rule out the possibility that they might simply be the academy’s security on patrol either, but according to Raul, that was unlikely, as the men had been moving around the campus as if they were searching for something.

If this was Astor Academy, Raul would have confronted and interrogated them. But given that we were in a foreign country, he was afraid that sticking his nose into trouble might lead to international problems.

Considering the potential repercussions, Raul had ultimately chosen to merely remember their characteristics.

“For now, we better report it to Miss Teixeira.”

This seemed like a more cautious approach than directly approaching a teacher at Randolph Academy.

After lunch.

Raul and I used the remaining break to meet with Miss Teixeira.

On a side note, the rest of our group went to the courtyard alongside Randolph Academy’s students. Raul and I planned to join them after sorting out our matter.

“I see… suspicious men.” Miss Teixeira mumbled, her brow furrowing.

As expected, even our teacher’s actions were severely restricted.

But considering the incident that had happened in the dungeon yesterday, she eventually recognized that it was an issue that couldn’t be brushed aside. She said she would confer with Randolph Academy staff.

Given the circumstances and our status as foreigners, this was likely the most we could achieve.

That being said, we opted to remain vigilant.

While I couldn’t casually wield the power of the Holy Sword, they would probably understand if I needed to use its full capabilities during an emergency.

With a prompt decision made regarding our next steps, Raul and I made our way to the courtyard, when…

“Ah! Barrett~! Over here~!” Tayte called out to us, a crown of vibrant flowers resting atop her head.

I thought she was a real angel for a moment there.

Well, let’s enjoy this period of peace, shall we?
