[Family Reunion]

With Reina and Sir Abel returning home, all members of our family could finally gather together.

…Originally, Tayte was supposed to be here with us, but her parents had told her to go back home, which left me feeling a bit lonely, but there was no helping it.

“You seem lonely without Tayte, Barrett.”

As we all relaxed after dinner, Reina brought up the subject as if she could read my thoughts.

“Well… I won’t deny that.”

“You sure have become quite the lovebirds.”

Reina sighed exasperatedly, even though she was the one bringing up the topic. Why ask when she already knew the answer?

Father, watching our conversation, suddenly chimed in, “Lord Alonso was looking forward to visiting us, but he had an urgent matter to attend to. He mentioned there was someone he absolutely had to meet.”

Someone he absolutely had to meet?

Since Lord Alonso said so, it must have been a really important matter. I couldn’t help but wonder what it was.

Suddenly, thoughts of the previous hostage situation with Tayte crossed my mind.

Back then, every member of the student council went to rescue Tayte. It was hard to belief it had been almost a year since then… time sure flies.

–Wait, this wasn’t the time to be immersed in memories.

“Who is that person?”

“He didn’t say, so I’m not sure. …Don’t worry. Their security details have been reinforced to prevent an incident like before. Alonso Ehrenberg is someone the Bramshal Kingdom can’t afford to lose, after all.”

It seemed that emotions showed on my face again, as usual. Father easily discerned my thoughts and reassured me.

Still… it was good to hear.

The fact that the Ehrenbergs’ security had been reinforced meant that Tayte should be safe as well.

Afterward, the conversation shifted to Reina.

Reina’s activities as a member of the knights’ order and her classmate, who became our hot topic.

Said classmate seemed to be pursuing a career as an archaeologist, but since there were no ongoing archaeological excavations in the Bramshal Kingdom, when Reina had told her that there was a large-scale excavation being conducted at a tourist destination called Gerom in the Dourif region, which was on another continent, she excitedly set off for it.

“Knowing her, I’m sure she would become a world-class archaeologist.”

Reina concluded her story with those words.

Following that, we talked about the new student council, of which I was the president.

When I told her I enjoyed it despite the challenges, Reina, the former council president, empathized with a nod, “I can relate.”

In the middle of our gathering, my thoughts wandered to a particular individual.

It was Pilar, the new student.

She was one of the members of Raul’s harem in the original novel.

However, they hadn’t made any notable contacts so far.

Well, unlike in the original novel, Raul was now dating Eureka, his first love, who should be his enemy in the novel. There was no room for anyone else to come between them.

Then, the only remaining issue was the last harem member.

When would she make her entrance?

–Well, looking at the current relationship between Raul and Eureka, it was clear I didn’t need to worry too much.

I was sure that their relationship would continue to go smoothly.
