Mei Chao Bing kept quiet for a moment, only slowly turning around in a circle and surveying his surroundings. Come to think of it, this forest looked familiar. It seemed to be the one where he had gone with Yun Bei Fen and found Da Hei when they were on their way to the border region.

Taking that into consideration, this place had probably been conjured up based on his own subconscious. Maybe he even would have dreamed of this place without any interference from outside and the person in question had just taken over. Now, if this was his dream, then what was he able to do?

He looked down and realized that he was wearing his normal robes, and even his spatial bag and weapon were still there. He drew his sword, and then slowly inched forward, trying not to make a sound while he used his spiritual sense to probe his surroundings.

Unfortunately, as it turned out, spiritual energy couldn’t be detected in a dream. Well, it figured. After all, this wasn’t a real place so where would the spiritual energy come from? At the very least, he didn’t think that this place was real. Although, to be honest, he still had some questions about this. Now, he regretted not having asked the black warrior more questions when he had the time to do so.

He continued forward and finally stopped when he noticed faint sounds in front. A fire seemed to be crackling and a person was breathing slowly and evenly as if in a relaxed or extremely controlled state.

Mei Chao Bing narrowed his eyes and then continued to weave between the trees, finally reaching a small clearing. As soon as he saw it, he recognized it. Don’t mention his memory, just the person over there was a telltale sign.

Looking at his little bunny, Mei Chao Bing couldn’t help but furrow his brows. He still didn’t know who had pulled him into this place. In any case, he was sure that it was not just a normal dream.

Even though Yun Bei Fen seemed to be sleeping right now, something about this whole place was just … off. And he had never been one who was able to decide on his actions in a dream but that was clearly the case right now. He was pondering, deciding, and acting on it. How could it be a dream? That just didn’t make sense.

He took a step forward, out onto the clearing, but he didn’t rush over. Usually, his first instinct would be to go and pick up Yun Bei Fen but who knew if this was even the real person? Whether this was a dream or an illusion, it was unlikely that he would be so lucky. Since he knew, he shouldn’t put himself into even more danger. Not to mention … if this was done by his Master, then he didn’t need to show even more how important Yun Bei Fen was to him. That would just give him a handle on him.

Thinking of that, Mei Chao Bing couldn’t help but stare at the little figure over there. Actually, come to think of it, maybe he had made the wrong decision back when he decided to be with him before his Master’s matter had been settled.

He had thought that he was strong enough to protect him but in the fight with Qu Yijun, he had seen that he wasn’t. If not for being sly and using some backhanded tricks, he would never have won. He also knew that. And that was just one of his senior martial brothers, not his Master.

If there was a situation where Feng Bai Xiao tried to use Yun Bei Fen and his feelings for him against him, he wouldn’t have anything he could do against it. Because clearly, he wasn’t good enough to win in a fight. At that time, he would only be able to give in.

Mei Chao Bing sighed and then looked around further, trying to figure out if there were any other clues to be had. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

His gaze turned back to Yun Bei Fen and finally, he went over step-by-step, keeping a close eye on him. Nothing about him seemed different. From the top of his head to his toes, he looked exactly like he always did. Even his sleeping face was exactly right. But then, this was taken from his own subconscious, wasn’t it? Why wouldn’t it be right? That still didn’t mean that there wasn’t anything else beneath.

Two steps away from Yun Bei Fen, he finally stopped. If it was anybody else, he might have used his toe to prod them, or maybe used his weapon to keep them at bay while waking them up, but in Yun Bei Fen’s case, he couldn’t bring himself to do either. Instead, he just stood there, staring at him, wondering what exactly he was supposed to do now.

If you encountered your lover in a dream, it was the right course of action?

Meanwhile, the little bunny in question was sleeping happily. He had curled up a little, mumbling to himself while a sweet smile lit up his features.

Mei Chao Bing’s gaze couldn’t help but soften when he heard this. For sure, his name had been among those words just now. Yes, when it came to Yun Bei Fen, eight out of ten thoughts would be about him, wouldn’t they? That was also information that was stored in his subconscious. So what did this scene really tell him?

He sighed again and finally sat down on the other side of the fire, still holding his weapon while he looked at Yun Bei Fen. No matter what, he should be careful first. Then, he could still decide later.

He had no idea just how long he had been sitting there but finally, the little bunny rolled around, reaching out to undoubtedly search for the person that was usually lying next to him.

Mei Chao Bing’s lips twitched and he couldn’t help but get up, hurriedly grabbing his wrist before Yun Bei Fen’s fingertips could touch the flames. Ah, caring for a little bunny like this, it really wasn’t easy, not even when they just met in a dream.
