“!!!”

Is it a blessing or a curse? if it’s a curse, it can’t be avoided.

In the end, Gu Siyi, whose ears were pinched, felt a sense of resignation.

Allowing the scorching heat at her ear tips to spread, she tried suppressing her ever-rising heartbeat and nodded her head tragically.

his fingertips felt like electricity, and he couldn’t bear to put them down. “That’s good.” He acknowledged while his smirk grew even wider.

“Then…Where shall we go to study?” When she spoke, her voice sounded as light as cotton, accompanied by a little tremble in her eyes.

“…” Xia Zhijun let go of her arm, turned his back, and walked back a few steps.

This… is a little too unbearable. He thought.

Xia Zhijun took a few deep breaths to calm down the unique restless feeling in his heart, then said in a low and hoarse voice, “I’ll take you to the complex.”

“Okay.” She complied obediently.

Gu Siyi followed him happily to the complex while holding a wrapper in her hands. She tore it open and handed Xia Zhijun the piece of chocolate. “Here you go.”

Without a word said, she raised the chocolate to his mouth and he bit down on it without noticing the growing smirk on her face.

“What are you looking at?” he suddenly asked.

“Your good looks.”

After thinking twice she felt that she had to justify what she just said. “It’s not just me, everyone thinks you are good-looking.”

Xia Zhijun’s expression changed but she couldn’t see from how tall he was.

The two continued walking side by side on campus until moonlight fell. The young figure stood tall and clear, with a different kind of gentleness on his face.

When they reached the end of the complex Xia Zhijun stopped her and said, “Just here. It is not convenient to study in a classroom, it would affect other people.”

“Yeah.” Gu Siyi nodded hurriedly. She was eager to learn from her teacher at a silent place.

The two stood by the fence, and Gu Siyi opened the book and placed it on the handrail. The top floor had a row of faint decorative lights, so the moonlight was still clear.

Coming here for a walk is normal. But we came here to study… She thought.

Xia Zhijun was worried that her eyesight would be damaged, so he took out his mobile phone and turned on the flashlight to illuminate the book.

“You read it first and I’ll listen.”

Gu Siyi was a little embarrassed, “My reading is bad … Don’t laugh at me.”

Xia Zhijun sneered. “Let’s hear it first.”

“…” Regardless of his mockery, she was still willing to learn.

“Even though it was autumn, the snow was already beginning to fall in Tibet. Our legs were so heavy and cold that they felt like blocks of ice….” Gu Siyi tried hard to read the text with eloquence.

After Xia Zhijun listened, he nodded. “Not bad, there’s progress.”

“Thank you for the compliment, I will continue to work hard!” Gu Siyi couldn’t help but feel content.

However, once Xia Zhijun started reading, her smile faded away.

The gap, what is the gap between the school god and learning scum? This is it!

After noticing Gu Siyi’s frustration, he raised his hand to pat her head. “Don’t worry, I have a better foundation than you. My aunt is a diplomat, and I often went abroad with her when I was a child.”

“Oh….” The grin on her face slowly began to return. “So I was desperately running to Rome while you were born in Rome.”

Xia Zhijun smiled before pressing her head lightly. “Then you don’t need to run to Rome, I will come from Rome to find you, okay?”

Slightly startled, Gu Siyi answered in a sweet and crisp voice. “Okay, I’ll wait for you to pick me up and take me on the rocket ride.”

Gu Siyi was just joking and didn’t think too much. Of course, she didn’t notice the seriousness in the boy’s eyes.

Xia Zhijun snatched the pen from her hand, and took her to read sentence by sentence, helped her find language sense, and explained key sentence patterns and usage to her.

Gu Siyi focused on following his train of thought, trying to absorb it.

After standing for a while, her legs were a little sore. She stomped twice on the spot, bending down and squeezing her legs.

“If you are tired, let’s sit on the ground.” Suggested Xia Zhijun.

“Okay….” She replied with hesitation. “I have no problem, I’m just afraid you will feel too dirty…”

“Not so hypocritical.” He said lightly.

With that Gu Siyi took off her school uniform jacket and spread it against the ground, to sit comfortably. “Teacher, please take a seat.” In her heart, she clicked a big compliment for her a**-kissing skills.

Xia Zhijun chuckled while Gu Siyi sat beside him.

The two leaned against the wall and continued to study with their books on their laps as if they were watching on an iPad.

The time flew by and before they knew night began to set in. Soon, a gust of wind blew by, making Gu Siyi feel cold.

Studying… studying enriches me, studying makes me warm….

Gu Siyi silently hypnotized herself while her shivering body betrayed her.

“Take it.” Xia Zhijun held out the phone flashlight that he was still holding to her.

Once his hands were freed, he took off his jacket and threw it to her. “Put it on.”

“…It’s okay, I—” Gu Siyi’s voice stopped abruptly, because he suddenly squeezed her hand.

Her palms were ice-cold, while his palms were wide and warm, wrapping her hands in them. “Is my body temperature higher than yours?” He asked.

“It seems… to be… right…. “Gu Siyi responded sheepishly.

For the first time in her life, she held hands with a boy… it left her dumbfounded, blushing, and at a loss.

After noticing her reaction, he let go of her hand and looked back at his jacket. “Hurry up and put it on.”

Gu Siyi seemed to have escaped from the alchemy furnace of Taishang Laojun (Taishang Laojun is one of several ways of referring to the deity that the philosopher Laozi), and quickly put on his coat with a blushing face and uncoordinated hands.

Xia Zhijun looked at her shy and clumsy look, his face hidden in the dark as he smiled silently and went back to explaining the chapter.

By the time the two finished the contents of the unit, the watch on Xia Zhijun’s phone hit ten o’clock.

Gu Siyi stood up, packed her books, and took her uniform jacket from the ground. It was full of dust and stripes.

When she finished, she found Xia Zhijun leaning on the fence, watching the night sky.

“What are you looking at?” She asked “The stars?”

“In the clear night sky, there are as many as 3000 stars that can be observed with the naked eye. Following the starry sky observation path, you can find breathtaking things in the vague universe.”

Gu Siyi followed him behind the fence and spoke frankly. “I don’t understand what you just said. But when I look at the starry sky. I find it so beautiful.”

Xia Zhijun looked down to hide his smile and raised his hand to point to a cluster of stars., “Look at that, those seven bright stars make up the Big Dipper.”

“The one that looks a bit like a spoon?” She asked, trying to hide her chuckle.

“That’s right.”

“It’s interesting, what else?”

Xia Zhijun turned back and leaned on the fence while looking at her with interest. “It’s too late for now, go back and rest. Next time I’ll take you to the planetarium.”

Gu Siyi nodded excitedly to show her appreciation “Sure.”

With her confirmation, he hopped off his position and walked with Gu Siyi back to the dormitory.
