After buying two full cups of milk tea, Gu Siyi found a place to sit and waited for Xia Zhijun to return.
She sipped her milk tea and lazily swiped through some posts on WeChat Moments. Zheng Peipei and others posted photos of the buffet they’d just been to. Gu Siyi found it hard to express her feelings in words. “…Auntie asked you to get me a gift?”

Two small birds were inlaid in the shape of a heart, and a pink colored glaze resembled petals bathed in the sun, which looked delicate and charming. The more Gu Siyi looked at it, the more beautiful she felt.
She buried her face in her hands to mask her uncontrollable snicker before looking back up at him again with a beautiful set of teeth. “I love it!”
Xia Zhijun stretched out his hand and gently poked her small dimple. It was so cute. His eyes were filled with his unique tenderness and affection for her. “I like it too….”
