Echoing is the rhythmic sound of small droplets hitting the ground below.
If taken alone, this sound felt serene, calming, and hypnotizing; but in this dark, rundown, and secluded environment, it only made the atmosphere creepier.
Moreover, the roars and screaming that sounded nearby weren't of any help.
*ROOOOOOOOAAAR*
"LET MEE OUUUTT!!!"
"AGHHHHHHH!!!"
Looking at the origin of these noises, one could see two humanoid creatures chained in place with multicolored chains made of energy.
One of the two chained creatures barely had a human shape, its body green in color and greatly deformed, it kept roaring like a rabid beast but to no avail.
As for the other creature...it is actually a human! Yes! a human, it wasn't a monster or anything like that.
"ASSHOOOLEE!!!"
"WHY DID YOU BRING ME HERE!!!"
Shouting with all his strength, the man tried to release all his frustration, after all, he really didn't know why he was caught.
One moment he was walking on the street getting ready for his 'operation', and the next, a silver-haired man appeared in front of him catching him without saying a single word.
"LET ME GOO!!"
But then, just as the man roared, the distinct noise of fingers snapping sounded in this empty place.
*Snap*
This noise echoed lightly yet clearly, miraculously overshadowing all other noises in the surroundings.
Moreover, following its propagation, everything suddenly went silent, there were no longer any screams!
Even the sound of water droplets hitting the small pond of water below disappeared.
But this silence didn't last long as moments later, a somewhat irritated voice sounded.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Finally! no more noise! I nearly got a headache because of you!"

Walking from the shadows is a silver-haired young man with golden eyes wearing a comfy-looking hoody.
This is exactly Lorien!
"Well...You two should be enough for my experiment!"
Hearing this, the chained man opened his mouth to scream in rejection but sadly, no sound came out.
Of course, Lorien didn't care about his response, after all, those two are only experimental subjects for him, just lab rats!
The first creature is actually the cursed spirit Lorien found in the cellar; after meeting it, Lorien immediately chained it in place.
The second is a curse user, basically, an evil human sorcerer who uses jujutsu with malintent, and in this case, it is robbery, rape, and murder to name just a few of the things he committed.
'I should be able to analyze cursed energy from them and the difference between cursed spirits and human sorcerers.'
'I hope that I can use cursed techniques and domain expansion without it, at least I want to emulate this energy or absorb its characteristics.'
'I really wonder how my Source Energy will react if I were to absorb Cursed Energy.'
'Will it mutate or not?'
Indeed, ever since Lorien came to this world, he has been feeling very greedy for this power as it is very versatile and compatible with his reality warping and dream power, especially domain expansion.
'I'll give it a try after analyzing it, I don't want to jump the gun here.'
'Gather information, then, act!'
'Oh, I should also be able to verify my theory!'
Thinking of this, Lorien didn't hesitate any longer as he immediately started using his power to analyze the two in front of him.
[Dream/Reality: Analyse]
With his ability operating, detailed, clear, and easy-to-understand information started appearing in Lorien's mind.
And because Lorien's focus was totally centered on Cursed Energy most of the information he got was about it.
This lasted for about an hour until Lorien finally took back his power as he felt his energy levels dwindling.
"So that's how it is!"
Even though Lorien's Source Energy levels almost reached rock bottom, he was still able to achieve his goal.
'So my guess was correct...'
'All I need to do is test it!'
'But it's not time for this, as before that...'
Stopping this line of thought, Lorien silently turned his attention to the chained man.
'Cursed Energy is made of Negative emotions, be it, Anger, Emptiness, Frustration, Helplessness, Fear, Guilt, or Loneliness.'
'All of them are included!'
'I now know for sure how it is made, and its essence.'
'I also know how cursed spirits are born and why!'
'All that is left is just to absorb some of it and see how my Source Energy reacts...'
'According to the data, nothing wrong should happen...At least I hope so.'
Gritting his teeth, Lorien walked slowly toward the chained man.
This is the first time he ever tried something like this, so he isn't sure about how things will go.
But thinking about the golden barrier still surrounding him, his eyes turned resolute.
It's better to try it when he still has this layer of protection, at least with it, he knows that things will never truly hit the fan.
'So it's decided!'
No longer hesitating, Lorien placed his hand on the man who was chained from all 4 limbs and neck.

With Lorien's power operating, the man instantly disappeared from this world, it was as if he was never there.
But that isn't completely correct as in the position he was in some blackish energy was still left there, of course, this is exactly what Lorien wanted as he took extra care to not erase it with him.
'Cursed Energy!'
Seeing this, Lorien didn't pause as he instantly used his power to lock it in place before it could disappear into the world.

And as a consequence, this energy was immediately compressed into a small ping-pong-sized black ball.
'Got it!'
Holding it in his hand, Lorien could feel the glass-like texture of the ball and its cold temperature.
Completing all of those actions in quick succession, Lorien paused for a moment as he took in a deep breath.
'It's now or never!'
Holding this ball tightly, Lorien didn't hesitate as he started absorbing it into his body.
'How will my Source Energy react...'
