Closing his eyes, Lorien tried to find out what was different in his body, he could clearly feel that some change happened, and not only that, he could also feel that it should have happened a while ago but he just discovered it now because he used his ability on a large scale.
Feeling worried, Lorien's mind couldn't help but start racing; his thoughts going wild.
'Was it because of that encounter in nothingness?!'
'Or is it something else...'
But then, just as Lorien was becoming more and more anxious, Saigai suddenly spoke; shaking him out of that state.
"Are you okay?"
"Ah! no, I am okay! Just zoned out for a second.." Quickly responding, Lorien suppressed his thoughts and decided to extensively test it out later, after all, now isn't the time for that.
"RAAAGHH!!!!"
Now, in the whole school, there is only one zombie left that wasn't killed, and the only reason for that is because Lorien needed it alive.
But as a zombie, there was no such thing as fear so even though all of its brethren were just erased, it continued running towards the couple.
"Wait!" Said Lorien quickly, seeing Saigai raise her sword to kill it.
"I need it alive to do some tests!"
"Oh...No wonder it isn't dead!"
"I'll deal with it..."
Raising his hand, Lorien then waved it lightly which caused the zombie to suddenly freeze in place unable to move, then, a box made of bulletproof glass appeared around it, emprisoning it inside.
Following this, Lorien moved it through the air and set it down next to the wall and out of the way.
Patting the non-existent dust off his hands, Lorien then turned his head again to the survivors who were watching all of this dumbfounded.
"All Survivors, come down to the main entrance right now!" Said Lorien his voice spreading to the whole school; Following this, he turned his head to Saigai and asked.
"What do you think, should we help them?"
"Uhhh..."
Looking at the chaotic city outside where flames and smoke were spreading everywhere, Saigai frowned for a moment before relaxing again and responding.
"I think that we should help them for now, we have nothing to lose anyways, moreover, if they turn out to be annoying, we can just get rid of them..."
"Okay then..." Calmly responded Lorien.
He left this choice to Saigai because he most likely won't be staying in this world for long, so considering the fact that by then she'll be the one to deal with the survivors, she has the most say in whether to keep them or not.
After all, it's not fair for Lorien to make a choice for her and then run away and leave her to deal with the mess on her own.
So after hearing her choice, Lorien then changed the topic.
"By the way, how should we model the place?"
"I am thinking...a Villa!"
"That's a good choice...What about the survivors?"
"We can make a separate living space for them..."
Nodding, Lorien then turned his head to the school waiting for the survivors to come out.
"Oh, here they are!"
Just as Lorien and Saigai were chatting, those survivors had already made it out of the school and walked shakingly towards them, obviously somewhat afraid of them.
'Sigh...I really hate trouble...'
Looking at the terrified students looking at him, Lorien felt a headache.
'But hey, at least they are much easier to control this way'
Rubbing his forehead, Lorien's eyes couldn't help but wander to the teacher standing silently in the middle of the students.
'This is Shido huh...'
Thinking about the fun he may have later, a wicked smile silently appeared on his face which he quickly hid away.
But just after a couple of glances, Lorien quickly lost interest, right now, he is not in the mood to play as he wanted to quickly fix the base and then test out the changes in his body.
'Can't those guys come out faster...'
Watching those students come out slowly in small groups, Lorien couldn't help but feel impatient.
Now, he didn't even have the interest to interact with the 'characters' he saw in the 'anime'.
'Speaking of 'original characters', Only Komuro and Rei haven't come out yet'
Looking at the growing crowd standing silently in front of him, Lorien was quickly able to find the 4 members he was looking for with a glance.
'Really...the two most annoying guys have to be the last...'
But then, just as Lorien was about to completely lose patience, the two finally exited the school and quickly joined the group.
Frankly, the reason they were so late isn't that they were being slow, it's because they were on a blockaded rooftop so it took longer to make it down.
But Lorien didn't care about any of this now, so after making sure that there were no other survivors inside the school, he started calculating their numbers.
'30 Survivors...22 girls and 8 boys..'
'Why is there such a small number of boys, this is obvious sexism!'
'I call for gender equality!'
'Tsk, doesn't matter let's deal with this mess first.'
Looking at the crowd that's standing nervously in front of him, Lorien finally spoke.
"Hello!"
"My name is Lorien and this is Saigai" Said Lorien turning his head toward Saigai who was silently standing next to him.
"I won't make any further introductions as it isn't necessary"
"So, first and foremost let me make some things clear!"
"This is the apocalypse, it is real, and no, there won't be any help, soon, most humans will perish"
Hearing what Lorien just said, there was a strong reaction from the crowd as some started denying it while others looked shaken to the core, and seeing this, Lorien immediately spoke.
"Quiet down!"
It may be because of fear, but Lorien's words had immediate effects as they instantly became silent.
"For now, sit down, calm down for a while, and later, I'll answer some of your questions!"
After saying this, Lorien pointed at the wall where the school gate previously stood.
"Just sit there for now! I'll be back after dealing with some things..."
