The employees and the part-timers of the restaurant fell into confusion.
Most were so shocked to be able to do anything, but others responded differently. Some prayed, and some looked around.
It was the existence of the fairy that said that this situation cannot be logically explained.
‘There are things that I couldn’t understand, like what this world is or what’s the purpose of bringing us here, but the most incomprehensible thing is the fairy flying right in front of us.’
The existence of the fairy caused the people to get shocked.
“Listen up, I know the shock’s big, but everyone should calm down. I don’t know what’ll happen if I get unmotivated from this, but anyways, from now on, listen carefully. I don’t like saying things twice. All of you who are gathered here are those who have been chosen by God. Of course, as you can see, there’re a lot of people chosen along with you, but there’re also many others who are not. You, the chosen ones, must complete the mission of this world on the last day of every month from today onward”

‘First, we should go over what this world is.’ (Changhyuk)
The word ‘other’ (裏面) in ‘other world’ seems to imply an unusual meaning.
“That’s a good question. The other world is a term that refers to the other side of a world. This world exists at the other side of the 21st century that you live in. The problem is that this world is currently in a period of decline, and that powerful creatures in this world have no intention of dying down with the world. They are hoping for a new world and will soon invade your world.”

“I guess you understand now. The mission of the back world is to give everyone a chance to survive. Since God doesn’t want humans to perish, he has done things for you to at least respond. You’ll now be able to check your [Status] and store items from this world in [Inventory] just by thinking about it. Now, have the status window open up just as I said.”
People followed the fairy’s words and checked their own status windows.
Akan, however, couldn’t comply.
No, to be exact, his mind got entangled in a very shocking situation.
People had their statuses confirmed by the back world’s system, but Akan had instinctlively realized that his body has changed.
‘What the hell is going on?’
A cold feeling lingered around his body.
Although forgotten, it’s a very familiar feeling.
The identity of this thing running around his core is undoubtedly…
‘It’s… Mana…’

The mana core that had been dry for that amount of time had just regained vitality.

Akan has always been craving for mana.
The end of his life as a wizard is more painful than having all his wealth taken away.
But he had gotten mana again.

His violently beating heart welcomed this incredible situation.
However, Akan wasn’t overwhelemed by his emotions.
He had his eyes cold as he also judged the situation as coldly as possible.
‘It’s different from the mana used in the Macedonian continent, and It feels like it was created artifically, not naturally. The amount is also insignificant, I can only use 1st Circle Magic three times, and it’s neutral magic without a specific element.’
Wizards create cores to store mana in their Dantian.
As an 8th Circle wizard, Akan’s mana core naturally had a huge size and durability.
Compared to his core, all he had now was an embarassingly small amount of mana, but Akan masterfully rotated the mana to find out its tendencies.
‘Does artificial mana react with mana of nature?’
Akan tried to attract mana by spreading the mana of his core around him.
However, the mana didn’t respond at all.
It was as if the two had completely different properties, the artificial mana couldn’t be mixed with mana of nature.
‘It’s half-mana, and since I can’t use the mana of nature, the method of accumulating mana becomes useless. Is this mana disposable?’
The mana of the other world is different from the mana of the world where Akan used to live.
Akan brought the mana that was spinning in his core to his heart.
He then made the first of the eight circles climb to cast one magic.
‘Wind.’
1st Circle wind magic.
It’s a very basic magic which causes wind.

He thought of the possibility of it failing due to him using artificial mana, but fortunately, the magic was cast normally.
‘The mana was rather less repulsive.’
Akan was able to confirm another fact after using wind magic.
“The mana consumed for the magic is recovering by itself. It’s recovering very slowly, but it definitely is. That confirms that the mana here isn’t disposable. In the Macedonian continent, the mana used was provided by nature, but the mana here is like a living thing. After the mana’s consumed, it goes back to its original size and shape after a certain period of time, and if my assumptions are correct, then the recovery limit would be amount of mana I had before using it.”
He hypothesized with confirmed facts.
‘It may not be very accurate, but I think it’s roughly correct.’
If he had a little more time, his information could be clearly organized, but unfortunately, he didn’t.
While Akan checked those things by himself, the fairy’s explanation was already leading to the contents of the status window.
“The Strength, Agility, and Magic displayed in your status windows are the stats that represent your physical abilities in numerical terms. 10 is the average for each of them. You can get stat fragments by performing missions in this world. The use of fragments is simple. For example, you’ll need 10 Strength Fragments to increase the Strength stat by 1. This change applies permanently, and you’ll have to collect as many fragments as possible to survive in this world. Your [Inventory] might be empty now, but you can store items in it, and you can check them seperately after learning [Skill].
