"you know Aisling will be back soon and I think she has something to tell you." Maureen gets up and goes to the kitchen of Aisling's house. Even though they have their own homes they still have dinner together as a family. She rubs her crystal that will call Morrigan to her. When she enters the kitchen, Morrigan and Uktena are there.
"we already know that they have located the horn and we already know it's a trap to drain Crystal's powers . Macha is trying to come back, she could feel that Crystal was of her blood when she stepped in and stopped her from hurting Yona. She set this up when she was able to partially free herself from the willow. The only way is for us to take all of her magic away and then let her go to get the horn. Once it's done then the last of Macha's power will be vanquished. " Morrigan looks sad because she left her only a small amount of her power when she bound it before now to have to take even that small amount could be dangerous. Crystal is listening at the door and hears what Morrigan says walking into the kitchen she looks straight into Morrigan's eyes. With a quiet but determined voice Crystal puts her hands on her hips and tells her.
"grandmother or not that woman is not going to use me to do evil. Take everything away until after she is completely gone. I will not allow her to continue to harm others and if I have to give up my gifts completely then so be it."
"Now when you go with Aisling make sure that you have plenty of back up. That way when Mach's spell is released it can be stopped. The spell will not harm anyone else but you. With your gifts gone it will not be able to harm you. " Morrigan leaves and Crystal slips out of the house not waiting for Aisling, hoping that she will not be mad at her.
Aisling arrives back at the house with Gigi and Xiangin. Maureen thinking Crystal just went next door to her home told Aisling what happened. Aisling gives Remi a call to fill her in on what is happening. They agree after dinner tonight they will come up with a plan.
that evening when the family has gathered for dinner Crystal is no where to be found. Remi thought she was here at Aisling's and Aisling thought she was at home coming to terms with no powers. They all look around and realize that Crystal must have went to Macha's alone.
Crystal climbs down into the dark cavern feeling scared. Reaching for her flash light. She turns it on walking deeper into the unknown for her. The coldness and darkness of the cave overwhelming she isn't sure she is going the right way. When she feels something brush against her. Closing her eyes as she stands still Crystal asks Hod for courage. Taking a deep breath she begins to walk again. Hearing water dripping she knows she is getting closer. The moment she walks inside the cavern with the pool it becomes illuminated. Seeing the metal chest Crystal goes to reach for it when the shadow stands before her. In the past Crystal had never really felt fear because she always knew what would happen. Now she is terrified at this man facing her.
"You came , I can't believe that they let you come. You look like the blonde one. The one from many years ago. Your more beautiful than her, Macha will be pleased that she will be so beautiful again. " the shadow tells her.
a chill runs down Crystal's back Macha doesn't want to just steal her powers she wants to take over her body. Even if she has no powers Macha will try to posses her. Crystal really wishes he had waited now for Aisling and her mom. There is a surge of energy in the room and a vine begins to grow . Crystal catches her breath looking around wanting to escape. But there is none the way she came in has already been blocked by vines. Watching the vines take shape Macha appears from inside the vines. Her skin rough almost like tha bark of a tree. As she walked towards her Crystal noticed that mushrooms grew where she stepped. Macha grows a leaf from her finger tip and touches Crystal's face.
"So young and beautiful, so full of potential. To bad you will be but a memory soon. I have waited a long time for you. You see you are my only magical descendent. How that worthless child of mine that survived was able to accomplish it I do not know. I am grateful to him for doing something right. He was able to produce the means of my rebirth. " Macha laughs as she looks at Crystal like she is shopping for new clothes. Pulling her staph out she begins to make a circle.
Crystal tries to move outside of it but her feet have been encased in roots to keep her where she stands. Macha motions to the man to bring get her other guest. The shadow man brings Brayden in to the cavern. He is unconscious. Macha sees the anger on Crystal's face.
"Did you think I would not know of your bond with a mere mortal boy. I'm not sure if he is a destined love or if he has just been with you for so long that your heart has become attached. "Why are you so bitter and angry? You had the Fathers love and you had the love of an immortal. Why are you so angry?" Macha is taken back that the child knows exactly what she is.
