"Uncle Steve ,aunt HeJin we have an emergency. We have to leave for West Virginia immediately. There has been an accident and the family is going to need us." Aisling is running up the stairs as she explains , HeJin looks at her husband and tells him .
"Grab the emergency suitcases while I pack some food and drinks for the road. "
Steve doesn't say a word and goes to get their suitcases from the hall closet. This is one time he is glad his wife always keeps a case packed, something bad must have happened for Aisling to be in a panic. Within minutes Aisling in coming down the stairs with just her case. Steve asks her.
"What is going on, where are the others?" It's not like Astila to let his niece be to far from him.
"They are going to have to stay here with Astila's mom. Brayden is in critical condition and we have to get back. I sent Remi , Crystal and Uncle John ahead through a portal. He asked for me to so you know it must be bad. If we portal out there will be no vehicles at home for us to get around in so we will drive that way we at least have one car. " Aisling takes a breath but she is shaking. Steve nods and calls out to HeJin to see if she is ready. Just as they are getting in the car Yona is pulling up.
"Alex and William are going with you. They want to help, they want to try to heal him. " Yona lets her know. Aisling looks at the two boys and notices that they are glaring at her with anger.
"Aunt Aisling we love you but you totally forgot to send us with mom and Uncle John. Out if everyone we should have been the ones to go. Why is it you see the others as more mature than us? We demand that you take us with you. Brayden is not just Crystal's brother but ours also. I know we barely talk and interact much with others because of our gifts but that does not mean you can forget about us." William scolds her. Yona and Steve put their hands over their mouths to hide their smiles . HeJin hides behind her husband and giggles earning her a glare from Alex. Aisling sighs and tells the boys.
"when I was around Crystal's age the siren called to one of my friends, he was dead and I used my gift to bring him back . Because of that act I not only lost the use of my gift but I nearly died in the process. None of us want to see you go through that. It has nothing to do with forgetting you or not wanting your help. It is that we do not want to put you at risk. " Steve hugs the two boys and thinks that the conversation is over but Alex has not had his say.
"We are going to help our brother , Aisling Uncle Dude can put a field around us to stop anyone's else's illness or injury to effect us . The only person's pain we will feel will be Brayden's. We have already spoken to Opal and Noah they have informed their father. You know that we can speak to them at will , that our minds are connected. " Alex looks at his Aunt and rolls his eyes. "Your mother how is she, how is she dealing with everything?"

"I left Astila and Uncle Inola behind to explain. I truthfully am having a hard time forgiving her and was getting frustrated with being even in the same room. So I brought the boys so I could have some space ."

"I understand I was angry at my sister for years because of her actions towards Aisling.Aisling was a child that she did not want and she made it evident. To me Aisling was my daughter because In many ways we only had each other. I was not able to forgive her for many years. Take your time I think your mom had depression and because of your father's responsibilities she felt alone. People with depression do not always need a tragedy to trigger the illness. Sometimes it is just there this dark emptiness that will not go away or be filled. We do not know much about her childhood from what Astila has said something from that could have triggered her depression and the need for getting attention. Try to take the time to find out before you pass judgment. I have a feeling that Lotus and Lilli may already know by their actions. So let them live up to their name and help purify your mom so yo speak." Steve hugs Yona before getting into the car with the others. Yona waves at them as they pull out of the drive.
Aisling had portaled them to Marshals house ,John grabbed the keys to the truck and the three head to the hospital. Remi calls Winona to tell her they are on their way.
"We will be there within the hour, how is our boy?" Remi has her on speaker so that everyone can hear.
"they said he has damaged his spine and will need to do surgery once he is stable and the swelling goes down. He hasn't woken up, the Doctor says that is a good thing right now. Remi is Crystal coming with you? The last words he spoke was asking for her." The heartbreak in Winona's voice has Crystal crying again but she raises her voice loud enough for Winona to hear.
"Are you in Brayden's room? If so put the phone where he can hear me." Winona puts the phone on speaker and placed it on the bed next to him. Letting Crystal know it's done.
"My Brayden, you need to listen to me. I am on my way and you will be ok. You are more than my cousin , you have been my brother since the day you arrived in my home. You have been my anchor and my sanctuary. You cannot leave me, If you leave me I will be right behind you. Alex and William will be here tomorrow to help you . Walking over he gets a pen and starts to sign his cast. Winona smiles at him and asks
"Are you sure you want to do that? Crystal is on her way you know she has to be first for everything when it comes to him."
